Some people dont want to admit to having a wheat allergy, if you think about it you would be giving up some of your favorite food. When I was diagnosed I called my Aunt (on dads side), I begged her for months to get tested and she lagged! Well she had her bloodwork done and guess what she has Celiac. Do you think she has gone gluten-free? nope Well... -

lol I know how you feel, people stare at me when I am in the store. All they see is fruit, veggies, meat and there I am standing in the aisle checking labels and they probably think I am looking at calories. I have had people make comments" "Come on now, you could use some extra food". So rude. -

msmini14 replied to Tykes's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
How many calories should I be consuming if I run 4 miles 5 times (try to anyway) a week and strength training 3x times a week? hehe you offered help and I would love some advice, not sure if I am eating enough. -
Everyone has different symptoms. You shouldnt be eating Kellogs Corn Flakes, they do contain gluten. If you have been dx with celiac, you shouldnt ever consume gluten it is not worth it.

ARCHIVED Kozy Shack Soy Pudding
msmini14 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
In answer to your question, whole wheat is composed of a protein fraction and a carbohydrate fraction. When wheat starch (the carbohydrate fraction) is processed, it is separated from the protein fraction, which is where the gluten is contained. The protein fraction is discharged and we only use the carbohydrate part that does not contain gluten. This... -
