  2. im on the brand name Synthroid- and am having issues with it- but not gluten issues. i finally got a hold of the company (Abbott) and they said that none of the ingredients come from a gluten source, but they said that they dont test or cant guarantee that the raw materials they get have come into any cc. but again, i have not had any gluten issues from it...
  3. thanku, sorry for never replying. i did find out my brand name Synthroid, and my Cytomel (brand or generic) are both gluten-free. but because of the HIGH COST, my doc is now going to try me on Armour- i hope i like it, cause it's much cheaper, but im a little worried, cause i think i prefer a higher ration of T3 your dog is ADORABLE
  4. maybe, OR Allergies ontop of intolerances. maybe allergies to wheat, or all the preservatives and nitrates in lunch meats & donuts ?? im sure there's also a lot of corn byproducts in those processed foods-
  5. it just depends on your body- if you have lactose issues &/or casein issues. for ME, personally- i only eat yogurt maybe 2x a week- and i eat a Goat Milk Yogurt- it doesnt seem to bother me at all. now, if i indulge in a mocha, or anything that contains milk- i may have a little "D" the next morning... or maybe even crampy issues soon after i consume...
  6. sorry, anytime someone needs suggestions to gain weight- i feel like they're talking in martian language ive never had those kind of issues- but maybe i do have good advice- idk marty- we're all different- FOR ME- i feel BEST & SKINNIEST the more Paleo i can be- any complex carbs keep the weight on me- so i would suggest, can u eat rice????...
  7. are you still eating dairy?? i cant remember how long mine took to normalize- probably 2 weeks to become normal. if i consume ANY or TOO MUCH milk one day- then the next morning there's a little "D". if i overdo the cheese- its not good at all... and if i overdo fructans/fructose in salad form or garlic/onion form then there's a little "D" too. as...
  8. if i ate an apple (fructose) & peanut butter (legumes)- i would be out of commision for the rest of the day- laying on a heating pad, feeling like i wish i had an epidural so i couldnt feel the wheelbarrow of rocks i had in my intestines interesting about the soy oil... i havent been able to eat my almond butter lately- it makes me burp and makes...

  10. oh interesting... i had thought it was exclusive to celiac. i DID read that Casein can damage those villi too- but i dont always post everything i read, cause people negate it. but anyways, that's interesting to know.
  11. it really takes a good 3 to 4 weeks to feel significantly better.... i mean- in that first month- you really cant trust your reactions to anything- you could almost react to ANYTHING.. also, try to eat a really healthy gluten free diet- at least for a few months- try to avoid dairy, and gluten free breads, cereals, and cookies & treats... and even...
  12. wow ginny- reading your first paragraph above- gave me so much comfort to know that someone else goes thru all the crazy confusing pains!!! it makes me feel not so alone. hope we all have some pain free days ahead
  13. i dont understand what your doctor is thinking???? you had a positive biopsy the first time???? that means you have celiac.. Lord have mercy.. usually docs are reversed- they'll downplay the blood test and say that the biopsy is the "gold standard" i would say you have celiac.
  14. csten: Fascia is the connective tissue that connects the skin to your bones and muscles- if it's really tight it can cause a lot of muscular pain. an LMT will use different techniques- and without any lotion- to manipulate and soften the fascia. have u ever had an LMT do "skin rolling" on you- and it hurts- they're trying to break up the fascia. im an...
  15. i think you should do all 3! full thyroid panel, ultrasound, and Antibodies tests. your TSH is perfect- but you have an swollen thyroid- my best friend has just about every Hypo symptom there is- but her TSH too is perfect- i asked my Endocrinologist- what she would do with a patient like this- and she said she would test for the TPO antibodies- and if...
  16. 1st of all- ive wondered about the pesticides too- because i sometimes have a very strong reaction to purple onions. ive decided never to chance it again. 1/2 the time that i eat RAW purple onions- i end up violently vomiting. 1/2 the time im fine. if they're cooked im fine. i finally decided to never chance it again, after the last time i tried i ended up...
  17. wow that's tough- you've got a lot of sensitivities.. i mean i do too.. but i can do rice, tomatoes, broccoli, and red meat. i have fructose & fructan issues- so finding the right fruits and veggies can be tough- and our intestines need that smooth fiber... ive found zucchini to be one of my new best friends!!!! spinach, broccoli, peas i like too...

  20. i would guess that the only spices that would be nightshades would be peppers... but i really dont know enough. i hope you're ok with Turmeric- it is like the most miraculous spice on earth- it's a million times more potent as an antioxidant than any vitamins, and it's anticarcinogenic.. and yummy
  21. very interesting... i wonder if what you have on your eyelids was what i had a year ago- i still dont know what it was.. it came and went a couple of times... i thought excema, but then online i started suspecting a fungal infection. i also had a weird thing on my armpits for a bit. (this was all before i went gluten free). but my DH came after going gluten...
  22. thanku- but i was already scared about the Graves... that's why im so freaked and cant wait to talk to my Endo. ive been saying for MONTHS to family and friends- "oh Please- Celiac & Hashi are EASY- if you're gonna have to have any Autoimmune Diseases- those are the ones to have.. but that Graves would suck- i would never want that one- " oy vey i...
  23. i think they're just being extra careful legally. i think it's a new thing too. last year they were more into guaranteeing me that some products were safe- while others were not. i do also avoid the vanilla powder, which sucks- cause i LOVE vanilla... oh no WAIT- vanilla powder in the fraps? or the vanilla shaker on the condiment table? i wanna say the...
  24. it's safe because it's from corn. has no gluten. i THINK overseas- like in europe (not sure about canada)- but in other countries- it COULD be from wheat. i, like some people, get gluten like symptoms from corn- BUT if i keep my corn byproducts to a bare minimum im ok. (cause u cant escape it- it's in medication too). anyways. i use Truvia and cant remember...
  25. how long have you been gluten free? for the first 3 weeks- i began to feel better- YET, i almost still bloated from everything... in the first month you really cant trust your reactions to food.. a meal that is fine with me now may have still given my indigestion or bloating in that first month. honestly, i feel better on very little grains AND with small...
