  1. I have definately been glutened at the dentist and also made to feel like my abused teeth were my own fault- by the hygentist! First she asked my if I used a electric toothbrush? I said yes, and she said it must not be very good since I had discoloration on several teeth. When I told her it was Sonicare, she said that was a good brand but, I must not...
  2. Never had a problem getting a Taco Bell Bean Tostada and rice side.
  3. I live in the Charlotte area of N.C. but, my territory is in SC. There is a good Earthfare in Rock Hill. Also, Fort Mill has Pei Wei, Outback, and Carraba's-all have gluten-free menu's.
  4. Thank you-I'm tired of wasting my money throwing away shody gluten-free food!
  5. I have been gluten-free for about 10 months and in the last few months my BM's are firm and very long. I'm happy their firm but, I'm wondering how long some of this material has been in my gut, since the length is so long. I am still going with the frequency of 2-3 times a day. Can anyone explain this?
  6. Did you add parmesan cheese? I did to my last batch and loved it even more!
  7. Thank you Treen Bean for bringing this to my attention. Yes, there are two different shows. One is "Gluten-Free" and the other is "No Wheat-", I tivoed both of them. Something is wrong when you try to download the recipes from the Emeril Green site, so I thought I'd just watch them and write down the recipes.
  8. I can't edit my post but, I am using gluten-free make-up. Everyday Minerals.
  9. Hi- I have always had dark circles under my eyes and since going gluten-free, over 9 months ago, I thouht I would see improvement. I didn see some in the beginning but, it seems to have come back. Anyone else have this problem and did it eventually go away? I also am looking for a good under eye cover-up that is gluten-free. I have tried several and...
  10. "polenta (we LOVE polenta lasagna, and it is a relatively quick and easy dinner)" Okay Breila-please, let us know the polenta lasanga recipe! I would love to make that!
  11. Hi- I was just gabbing with a woman at Earthfare who's son has severe allergies to all of the items you mentioned above, plus some more. She swears by Bob's Red Mill Pancake mix and uses orange juice in place of the eggs. She uses this substitute in a number of different recipes. Her pancakes are always light and fluffy. Good luck!
  12. Thanks to everyone who chimmed in. I have to go shopping for some tommorrow and this really helps.
  13. I need to get body lotion, again. I have used Burts Bee's for the last 8 months and it is great except it comes in a 6 oz. tube and I need to buy it again in about a month. Does anyone use anything else? Thanks
  14. I use the parmesan/romano blend by Kraft. It's very good
  15. I am a pizza freak! That is the item I miss most. I just tried the Chebe mix for pizza crust and have to say it was a lot of work but, delicious. I have tried both the Glutino, Kinninik, and both were kinda sweet and chewy. I also tried Pizza by George, early in my gluten-free life and it was okay but, expensive for such a small pizza. Amy's pizza was...
  16. Hi- I'm using Fructis shampoo and conditioner and having no more itch. I buy it at Costco in big containers. It is one of the few items I can go mainstream on. Otherwise, I stick with Burt's Bee's-but some of their items have wheat-so have Whole Foods, etc. call 1st.
  17. Hi- Just an FYI, when your nervous at P.F. Changs. A nice waiter told me that all the gluten-free food is served on round plates and the non-gluten-free is served on square plates. That is how the wait staff tells what is what. I am located in Charlote, NC but, I would think this is the standard operating procedure for this company. Sarah (same digmom...
