Cool! I'm glad to hear they re-opened! I just had drinks there but, I remember there were a few things I thought I could get. Salads, burger without bun, potato skins, fish.

ARCHIVED Some People Are Cruel
digmom1014 replied to canutillomom's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Some people are just idiots! I am so sorry this happened to you and so early in your challenges with being gluten-free. Are you in NC? Have her invite me over! I never underwent the biopsy to "prove" I had celiac but, I have a reaction, and not a pretty one, in about 20 min. after ingesting gluten! EVERYTIME!!(I have been gluten-free for over 2 yrs.) -

ARCHIVED Glutino Frozen Pizza
digmom1014 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
After over two years, I found that my pizza craving is somewhat solved by Glutino pizza duo's. We have pizza nite as a family on Sat. night and I pop an individual frozen pizza in for myself. I haven't had a problem in the past but the last few month's they have been giving me trouble. The pizza's are soggy about 1/3 of the way thru all the way to the middle... -

Have you tried eBay? My husband collects back issue's of several magazine's, and he finds quite a few there. (yes, it is a joy to store a magazine colection!) -
Just my 2 cents: Not a fan of this option! I have enough eval's from people on ebay, half.com and amazon, and those people are in charge of my sales reputation. I thought this was a no eval zone!

What kind of grits are you using? I have had to put different items "on hold" and later in my healing added them again. Though, you said you had no trouble with the grits, & beside the creamer which is gluten-free, I'm not sure. I'm over 2 yrs. gluten-free and I have suddendly become bloated when I have caffiene, so some new things just "pop-up". Oh...

ARCHIVED Which Is The Better Brownie?
digmom1014 replied to *lee-lee*'s topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Put me down for Trader Joe's also! Great moist crunch. I have added cho. chips, dried fruit and or nuts. I also made them for gluten eaters at this years SuperBowl party-know one knew! I made the brownies fancier with pecans inside and topped with a whole pecan (football) and melted chocolate over the top. I also dusted them with powdered sugar-it was a special... -
I am one of those "anti-medication" people, i.e. I don't like to take anything until it is absolutely necessary. I have no trouble going to sleep but, I wake-up several times during the night. Valerian or Melatonin did not help with the waking during the night. I was at my gyno yesterday, mentioned the waking to her and she gave me Lunesta to try. It also...

ARCHIVED I Just Want Some Crackers Or A Decent Sandwhich
digmom1014 replied to lbv6684's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I had similar gluten-free nighmares for hot bread & butter.(crispy outside, soft inside) I just found these frozen rolls at Harris Teeter-I am in NC. They are called Cheenies, and are similar to Chebe bread but are frozen,no mixing required. I love Chebe bread but, sometimes it's easier not to have to do any work except turning on the oven! It's nice... -
I got cc'd from the pasta last week. I'm going to try it again since our waiter wasn't knowlegable, he brought bread to the table without asking. It was nice to go out and eat with everyone else again! Hopefully the cc will not happen again!

I am OBSESSED with the Olympics, winter or summer games. My husband says he won't "see me for 2 weeks", and he is right. I watch everything, every qualifying event, time trial, figures, etc. Third cheer for Apollo! I too love the snowboarding and all the skiing events. I think when you have tried to do some of these sports yourself, you really have...

I have also have leaky gut and have been gluten-free for over 2 years. I noticed a correlation between my caffienne intake and soft stools. I found some support on the web. (but, what can't you find to support any conclusions!) I found that green tea was also a culprit! Try elimiating those, if you haven't already.

Thanks for all of your help! -
I have been using Burt's Bee's Radiance since being diagnosed and it is not doing the trick on wrinkles. I am over 40 and need a little help! I have heard several different views on the following gluten-free status: Olay regenerist, Avon wrinkle release, ROC, etc. I'm looking for a daily lotion with SPF. as well as a night cream. Does anyone recommend anything...

digmom1014 replied to bluebonnet's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I make a killer pizza I had in Chicago with the pre-made Glutino crust, BBQ sauce, sausage, onions, bacon topped with cheese. I sometimes just sub. out the sausage for chicken and it is delish. Just make your own and bring it along. I don't think I could stand to be around other's eating pizza without indulging in some gluten-free variety. I will also put... -
