  1. I got a similar response, as I had asked as to why you now have to call about specific products. The new list is supposed to be out after some new products are released next month. So now I am curious to see what will be coming out.
  2. Last year when I was diagnosed, it was recommended that I have a bone density scan, as osteoporosis does run in my family. Imagine my shock that at 30 years of age, I was at a -2.8. I was told to make sure that I was getting enough calcium and be sure to do weight bearing exercises. My last visit to the dentist in December, the x-rays of my jaw wore horrible...
  3. I just wanted to ad the it could very well be something in the chex that doesn't like your system. In the past several months I have developed a sensitivity to honey. Pretty much gives me many of the same symptoms as a glutening, but without the migrane. I can have plain chex with no problems, and the chocolate chex has not caused me any problems at all....
  4. Thanks for the input. I thought it pretty much went against everything I have read up on so far.
  5. I contacted Nioxin in regards to their ingredient labeling. According to their site, all their products are gluten free. According to the ingredients label on their system 3 treatment, the second ingredient is hydrolized wheat protein. When I asked about this, Nioxin responded with this: "Thank you for your email. All NIOXIN products are gluten free...
  6. Just a quick update, I finally got a response from the company. "Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry, we have not changed any products to having gluten in them, we are just revising our list the new products that came out in January and the other products that are coming out in July. The products that you previously were using are fine...
  7. I went to the one in Fort Worth a couple of weeks ago. Was really happy. They didn't make a production out of my order, and when it came out, the person who cooked it brought it out and told me that he used a clean pan and fresh utensils, so there would be no concern of cross contamination. The important thing to me is that the kitchen staff understands,...
  8. Oats that are certified gluten free are ok. I would think that if oats that have been contaminated with gluten, that it would show in their gluten testing. Corn and rice also have a form of gluten, which don't fall under the wheat form type, maybe they are referring to those forms in the statement. They test for all wheat forms, which does include tocopherols...
  9. Have yet to find the mix anywhere around where I am at. Hoping to try it one of these days.
  10. I am in Fort Worth, TX and am not surprised that I haven't found them yet. Considering how long it took to have the gluten free versions of chex on the shelves, I am hoping by July 1 at this rate. In the meantime enjoying some Pamela's Extreme Chocolate Mini Cookies.
  11. Just wanted to ad a few cents here. I have called many times on the Market Pantry Target brand, and they are not that helpful. You can only call Monday through Friday, between 9 and 6 in whichever time zone their office is located. When I called they told me that due to constant changes in ingredient suppliers I would have to call every time I want to know...
  12. I sent them an email asking if they have recently changed anything, as I currently use some of their products. If I don't hear from them by the middle of next week I will call. I just want to be sure of why they have changed their wording.
  13. Was looking at their website and have noticed that they have changed their wording. In the FAQ section under Products FAQ: "I am gluten-restricted and am interested in gluten free products. What products are appropriate for my use? Please contact us directly regarding any specific products that may contain gluten" Has anyone recently contacted Burt...

    ARCHIVED Chili's

Just make sure to clarify with your wait staff that you are ordering off the allergen menu. I haven't been lucky with the Chilis out here, but I know many other people in other areas have eaten their successfully.
  15. I used to use Cigna's mail order pharmacy until I was diagnosed. When I contacted them, they told me due to their buying policies, which consist of only purchasing the least expensive at whatever time,(regardless of manufacturer, ingredients, advertising, etc...) that they recommended staying at a neighborhood pharmacy. If the regular insurance gives a hard...
  16. I am guessing they have changed an ingredient, as they used to be gluten free. I haven't taken it for a while now, so good to know. Call the 800 number on the box. I know they are manufactured by the same company that makes Tylenol, and the last list they sent me of safe things didn't have anything with the word "liquid" in them. I have noticed that...
  17. I don't want to ever start again. But some days I miss feeling good, and those days it really is hard. It was hard to quit. I just get frustrated with the whole situation.
  18. That is really interesting. When I quit smoking two years ago, that was when all, and I mean all, my health problems started. Since quitting smoking, I have had Bell's Palsy, was sick nonstop until my celiac dx(never had any stomach or lethargy issues until i quit smoking) my pulse rate has gone up, as my blood pressure, cholesterol, weight, allergy problems...
  19. hmm.. going to have to try that. Years ago we used to go to a restaurant in MN called Pannakukin(sp?). thinking may be the same thing? sounds really yummy though!
  20. I stopped buying the boat bolt whatever one because it always made me sick. I didn't pay that close attention, as they clam "gluten free" on their label, but they do have wheat grass and/or barley grass listed in the ingredients. Never again.
  21. If you don't mind, could you post the instructions? Thanks!!!
  22. As long as your iron level is good they will take your blood.
  23. It doesn't help that their site has been down for a couple of weeks either. I know when you do the all purpose to make the crust I use 2 eggs and 2/3 cup milk, and add a bit extra xantham gum. Hope that helps??
  24. Paul Mitchell has several gluten free options. I posted the list a while back... Awapuhi Shampoo Baby Dont Cry Shampoo Instant Moisture Daily Shampoo Super Skinny Daily Shampoo Botanical Prep Shampoo Lemon Sage Thickening Shampoo ME Bodifying Shampoo ME Refining Shampoo Tea Tree Lavender Mint Moisturizing Shampoo Conditioners: I...
