  1. Hello~ I have been reading about a lot of people getting tests done from Enterolab....and I've also read about some people on here who are anti-Enterolab. I was wondering how accurate they are and if they credibility or what not, because I don't know much about them? How accurate is Enterolab? Thanks !!
  2. Hi there~ I have BlueCross BlueShield as well, and was thinking about getting the same test run from Enterolab. I was wondering how much insurance covered for the $369 test?
  3. JustCan----- I have been gluten-free for a year and considering doing the gluten challenge to hopefully result celiac or not (Is it bad I am secretly hoping I will be positive Celiac so everything will make since?) However, I'm afraid to go through all this trouble of temporarily messing up my stomach again with the gluten challenge to have the test results...
  4. thank you so much. that was a really helpful answer!
  5. Does every person who has Celiac Disease automatically carry the Celiac Gene? ...or are there some celiacs who do not carry the gene? I have read that you can carry the gene, but not have celiac, but all so confusing.
  6. What tests can I have to show a possibility of Celiac, if I have already been gluten free for a year? (Excluding the gluten challenge!) I know I can't get an official result unless I am eating gluten, but I would I like more of an official answer instead of "self-diagnosis." My family doesn't take my "self-diagnosis" too seriously. So, I kind of want...
  7. I called Cetaphil the other day, and the only gluten free product they have is the "Gentle Skin Cleanser."
  8. I would suggest getting a new bin if you can afford it. If you can't, I'd wash it out really, really, really well. It might just make you feel better if you had a new bin, instead of worrying if you left a trace of anything behind in the one you have now. You have certainly done a lot better of a job in two weeks than I did in a year. I knew nothing about...
  9. I would watch out for Physicians Formula. On their website, they said they cannot guarantee that any of their products are gluten free Open Original Shared Link
  10. Did you speak with Almay on the phone? I just spoke with them yesterday, regarding makeup remover pads and eyeliner and they said they could not guarantee it was gluten free.
  11. I spoke to Almay customer service on the phone yesterday, and I was calling regarding makeup remover pads and eyeliner, and they said they could not guarantee it was gluten free. So...in the trash, just to be safe.
  12. Unfortunately, I do not think you ever outgrow a soy intolerance. I have an intolerance to soy, and so does my dad (still). So, odds are we will always have to remain soy free. Good news though, I have read many new articles preaching that the harm of consuming soy is far greater than it's benefits. Soy is actually pretty bad for your health...So, good news...
  13. I am still having trouble finding styling products as well. I had just tried Dove (which was gluten free), but it made my scalp burn and itch. And I have also read about others on this site having the same reaction to Dove products as well. If you are wanting to go for something organic, Desert Essence is my favorite brand so far. It can be found at Whole...
  14. Has anyone found any frozen meals that are gluten free, dairy free, and soy free? I have trouble finding a frozen meal that's free of all three. They usually will contain one or the other and seems nearly impossible to find a frozen meal without all of them.. Thanks!!
  15. I have been gluten-free, Dairy/Casein Free, and Soy free for a year. All my digestive problems have subsided except for bloating. Is there something that causes bloating or will some of us always have it? I have no idea what it could be. I don't eat much sodium, I take probiotics and digestive enzymes...could I be getting glutened and not know it? The...
  16. Nuts would be a great low glycemic snack. Although, nuts are pretty high in calories. The others are the obvious, such as vegetables--like celery sticks and things of that sort. There is this great bakery my friend found in Dallas called the "Francis Simun Bakery." They make a variety of bean breads and bean chips (lentil, black bean, garbanzo, kidney...
  17. Does anyone know if Dior makeup is gluten free? Anyone heard anything about whether or not Lorac is? On another note, what are your favorite makeup brands or specific products??
  18. Just called Loreal and they said all of their "wear infinite" eyeshadows were gluten free
  19. Does anyone know of a high-quality iron supplement that is gluten free, and contains little to no fillers?......and that doesn't upset your stomach? Thanks!
  20. Does Keratosis Pilaris have any relation to gluten like DH is? And if anyone has KP, what products have you found helpful? Thanks!!
  21. That is weird....I just called Person & Covey Inc. before I saw that you had responded, and asked if their DHS shampoo and conditioners were gluten-free and the lady I spoke to said they were not gluten free. Maybe she was just uneducated? If you got a detailed response like that though, the lady you spoke with was probably more correct than the one...
  22. I was advised by my doctor to go gluten-free a year ago. I finally feel so much better and all my stomach issues disappeared, but I would much prefer to have an official answer instead of diagnosing my self as a "celiac" or "gluten-intolerant." I am not sure I could ever force myself to eat gluten again, so I don't think I would be up for the gluten challenge...
  23. When I cut out gluten and dairy, it took me about 5 months for me to actually feel better, and about a year for my stomach to heal. If you are unsure about the need to cut out both, just start by cutting out gluten. But you have to really cut gluten out (and by that, I mean avoiding cross-contamination and hidden sources). Give it a month or so, and if you...
  24. Emma Rossum and Elizabeth Hasselbeck. I think there are a few others as well.
  25. I buy a lot of frozen vegetables, frozen fruits, and canned beans or gluten free soup just to make it easy. Then, I'll buy some fresh vegetables and Whole Foods sells gluten-free deli meat. You can also buy pre-packaged gluten-free oats (Bob's Red Mill), which make a quick and easy breakfast.
