Plus Naomi has a great site with great recipes & many clones.......if you order from better batter be sure to tell her Sande from Pa sent you. I don't get anything I just love her flour & told her I would pass the word along....

  5. I think maybe blueeyedamanda said she has been eating the berry berry kix... I can't remember for sure but I think it was her! I haven't been able to find these here in the Pittsburgh area. So while we were in the Philly & NJ area I found them. The box was not labeled like the rice chex that states gluten-free on the front of the box. So I phoned General...
  6. Hi I'm not from Buffalo but I do know on the Delphi Forum there are some from the Buffalo area....I do shop in Buffalo on occassion. If you need help send me a pm with your questions. I'm the founder of a large support group..... mamaw
  7. Is there not a way to get her name at least to try to make contact with her? Do you know if she herself was a celiac ? Maybe she belongs to a support group in the Worchester area. Somewhere there should be a public record of her ex-husbands ownership. If the bread was this good I would become Sherlock Holmes & find out something. Don't give up keep searching...
  8. I have a Zo like the two posts before me & I use it all the time ... It is pricey but it is the best. the motor is a workhorse & the quick wheat setting works great for gluten-free ... Many swear by this machine..... mamaw
  9. Hi Fedora I've been gluten-free for over five years & I'm very strict...This disease is actually fairly common as these specialists told me they have thousands who have this & some people just think its something else & continue on but it is a muscle disease of the eye.Droppy eye is one of the first things to take place & for some that is...
  10. that is to bad. Do you think maybe she is regrouping & going to start a gluten-free bakery? I would get her name & contact her so she knows the demand & the loss you are having. I live in Pa & have heard how great her breads are.... Another thing is if she isn't going to be opening a bakery ask her to share her recipes so you can continue...
  11. I buy all no grain pet food. It is more costly but so worth it for the pet & the family members who are celiac....
  12. Wow, someone else having this problem.I thought it was just some of the weird things I seem to get! First off, I have cornea erosion where bits of the cornea flake off & makes one feel like something is in the eye. Its painful at times , red & watery. I use oinment at night to help clear this up. Recently in the last few months my one eye appeared...

  14. The Gluten Free Gang holds a conference every year at Columbus Children's Hospital. It is very reasonable. We go every year & we are from Pittsburgh Pa area. This year it is on Nov 8,2008. Lots of lectures & many excellent vendors to buy from. I stock up all for all year at this event. Everything freezes & no shipping...... hth mamaw
  15. Conte's is the best --- they also have pierogi & much more..... Well worth the price unless you have all day to make them!!!. mamaw
  16. I will chime in here too! My fibro & rosacea have both cleared up since on the gluten-free diet. I still get some minor problems but nothing like before.... mamaw
  17. Fig Newtons!!!!! Yum I also have two recipes that I never tried.. The Gluten Free Trading Company sells I think from SPain some cookies that vaguely remind me of a fig newton . Not a fig filling... but if I remeber right one had a choc filling & I think two other fruit fillings. They were a tad harder than a fig newton but when I ate them I thought...
  18. When we were in Florida we ate at Pizza Fusion with no problems. So I was excited to see one come to the Pittsburgh North area. All I can say is I know several who have eaten there some got sick others did not.... I did speak to PF & know they had a person go in & tell them about CC issues . In the end I think they have a way to go in this area...
  19. Our celiac family has been eating Barilla for years & we never had an issue . One of us is very very sensitive but again never caused a problem..... hth mamaw
  20. there is two sides to your question. gluten-free & wheat products made in the same facility ; or. it can be made on two-separate lines in the same fac. This is a individual question because some will use the product if they are produced on separate lines & others who are truly sensitive will not go near the stuff. Everyone's tolerance is different...
  21. I don't have an answer to your question but I do agree if its cheaper to use then all papers will jump on the idea. Maybe Scott Adams can jump in & give an answer. Can you imagine small children putting this in their mouth!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks fo sharing the news.... I believe this is an important issue to get to the bottom of. If you belong to Clan...
  22. Hello I think you will find many feeling like you do. One suggestion might be is to get your thyroid checked. You actually can do it yourself by taking your temp every morning in bed before you get out of the sack plus count your pulse first thing in the morning for thirty days. Keep a log & take that info when you visit your alternative Doc.......
  23. Hey Judy Nothing like an old fool!!!! me anyway!!!! As i'm thinking I put cornbread in that thing also......& a white cake we had with strawberries...... I honestly don't see anything wrong with it but I only use it when we travel. So for me mine has held up even being jarred around in a rear kitchen of a fifth wheel to Alaska& back. Plus the...
  24. Hey Judy O don't get me wrong if they ripped you off I would call the attorney general's office & have them investigate the company..... My comment was addressing buying gadgets that one really does not need!!!! I hate it when you call to place an order for something & they rattle on for another half hour telling you about add-ons or other useful...
  25. Hi Everyone I'm not in your area but I have started a gluten-free group on the other side of the state! We had nothing here & shopping is always at least an hour or more away. It has become a large group & I line everything up each month on my own. I have people who have survived on only five foods for years !!!! I'm so glad I'm able to bring happiness...
