  1. My daughter has life threatening allergies to peanuts and tree nuts and is trying gluten-free, so thanks for this info! Susan
  2. Such a small world, I live on Cape Cod but I think I know the answer to this, its the Itallian place... they have gluten-free pasta too. Also I belive there is a PF Changs in the mall too. susan
  3. I had mine done a few weeks ago, I didn't have any "spray" and I didn't have a sore throat. I went to sleep and woke up and other then being loopy from the anesthetic I was fine. It was easy. Susan
  4. I just bought my bottle at the Stop and Shop on Cape Cod, MA and my ingredients are the same as what Elonwy posted above. NO malt listed at all. Also I've used it many times with no problems and I react severly and swiftly! Susan
  5. My original internist did a single Celiac blood test (I'm not sure what) but I went gluten-free and felt tons better, I changed internists and also paid to get my DNA tested (I have 2 main celiac genes). My current Dr. feels that with the DNA test and how sick I get when I do accidently ingest gluten there is no doubt that I have Celiac. She sees no need...
  6. I'm pretty obsessive about staying gluten-free, I'd never, for example eat something without knowing whether its gluten-free or not. I've always had a mostly healthy diet , I don't eat many processed foods so its fairly easy for me to be gluten-free. I don't often eat things like cereal and when I do want something like that its usually LifeStream waffles...
  7. I have no idea but are you eating it? (ok kidding) Why not just wash your hands really well when your done? I've been using it too and I'm fine. susan

    ARCHIVED Sushi

Hi Seamaiden, A few weeks ago I went to the restockit web site to get the small packets of gluten-free soy sauce. I couldn't tell by the web site which were gluten-free and which weren't and I e-mailed them about it and never got an answer, can you tell me exactly what you ordered?? Susan
  9. I've never heard of boston pizza? Is it in Boston? Susan
  10. I'm hearing impaired and I have Celiac, I wasn't diagnosed until last year and my hearing loss is from childhood so I'm not sure they are related, but just wanted you to know. Susan
  11. I'm cruising in 3 weeks on the Windsurf, operated by Windstar Cruises (owned by Holland America) and we cruised with them before. When you notify them of your gluten-free status they tell you they will do their best and that they only have one kitchen, however everyone on the ship went out of their way for us. The Maitre de, the Chef and our waiter. I...
  12. Well that's nice but I don't really have time to write, I'm sure you don't want to type the entire list of gluten free products but maybe you could list a few of them? susan
  13. I live on Cape Cod now but I was born and raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan!! Susan
  14. Hi new members! I'm from MA too, beautiful Cape Cod which is cold but sunny today! Susan
  15. I've read here a million times that the line is gluten free, however their answer to me lead me to believe the entire make up line is NOT gluten-free. They told me the mineral foundations were gluten-free but they told me I had to call them on all the other products I'm using from their line and they will tell me if they are gluten-free or not. I will say...
  16. Hi Eeyor fan (my daughter and I love eeyor!), I'm not sure why you think no one is interested in your responses from various companies but I certainly am and I'm betting that a lot of others are too. I'd love to see the response you got from the Dove people, especially since I use Dove soap (and I'm really itchy lately). I know that with some companies...
  17. Oh don't worry I'm staying gluten free, I get so sick every time I accidently get glutened. I'm just down, I guess, about having something else wrong with me. Eosinophilic gastroenteritis is rare so there are not big groups and such like there are for celiac disease. I joined the Yahoo groups for it and every single post is just a "pray for me" post, they...
  18. Just for the record I've been gluten free for 1 year and 3 months. I felt great for the first few months and then symptoms started to return, not to mention new ones. I don't like drugs either but I've felt so terrible lately that I'm at a point where I'll try them. I've also got 6 small ulcers in my stomach. I'd like to think this new wrinkle is...
  19. I posted about the results of my endo. and colonos. and I didn't get any comments at all. But I have since found out what I have is Eosinophilic gastroenteritis. This is on top of Celiac. It means I will have to elminate more food from my life, take steroids, and general I'll be a lot sicker then I thought. Is anyone else dealing with...
  20. If you like I can go to my grocery store and get the brand names of balsamic vinegars that I don't trust Richard however they don't say gluten they say the have added color, some say carmel color. I'm not saying they contain gluten I'm just making the point that they are not just vinegar, they have other stuff added to make them dark due to the lack of...
  21. A week ago I had both an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Immediately after the procedure I was told I had 6 small ulcers in my stomach and diverticulosis. I was told to take zantac (in the past zantac has given me more relief then prolosic or other belly drugs) and was given an Rx that is refillable many times. Last night at 10 pm (I was sleeping on the couch...
  22. Thanks for the heads up, my daughter has a life threatening peanut and tree nut allergy and she reacts to peanuts airborn as well. I'll go read the article asap. Susan
  23. Oh I don't think you should say that balsamic vinegar is always gluten free. I've read that some inexpensive ones are not aged very long so they don't get the nice dark color that they should have from aging so they add coloring to it to make it appear aged. And who knows if the coloring is gluten-free. When I buy it at the store I buy one of the more...
  24. I agree with the homemade cranberry sauce thing... I make it so its not that clear jelly thing, its got visable pieces of cranberry in it. I add a little orange zest and orange juice and every year people rave about it. The best thing about it is that you shouldn't make it on the "hectic" day. Its best if made a day or two before hand. susan
  25. After 13 years of symptoms I'm just really glad to finally feel better. I'm a positive person 99% of the time. I think its easier for me because I'm the "head of the household" here so I don't have to deal with perhaps an unsupportive partner. I really feel badly for those of you that have to do that. I don't blame anyone for a little whining, I tend...
