Defintely bring your own food to Universal. I have yet to find anything at the park to eat. I usually stick a sandwich (on Udis) and some fruit and granola bar in a small insulated lunch bag. There are lockers just inside the gate on the right if you don't want to lug around with you all day. I have never had a problem bringing food in. If i did I...

If there is not a store near you might be on line. 28 mg iron, vitamin Shoppe labeled, specifically says right on bottle NO yeast, corn, wheat, sugar, salt, soy, dairy, citrus, fish, preservatives, artificial colors or flavors. While th e label didn't say gluten-free this was the best I could find.... -
ARCHIVED Can I Trust Air Canada
Lesx2 replied to The Glutenator's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
You are welcome. It also helps to freeze as much as you can. I usually take a sandwich (easy to eat on plane), fruit slices, and some granola type bars. --And freeze all the night before I leave. The insulated lunch bags work well and I have never had any trouble getting through security. As you know, you can't take liquids and I have found out liquids... -
ARCHIVED Can I Trust Air Canada
Lesx2 replied to The Glutenator's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I fly a minimum of once a month and never without an insulated lunch bag with gluten-free food with me. Too much chance of CC if you are even lucky enough to get a true gluten-free meal Hint. A bag of frozen peas keeps things colder longer and can go through security -

Valerian works to help me sleep - all natural. I purchase at Whole Foods - recommended by a homopathic doctor at a conference I was at. Better than Melatonin for me. Also had to eliminate multi vitamins that had B-12 in them, can't sleep or have wild nightmares if I have taken any B-12. May you all find something that works for you.. sweet dreams !

Hi Ken, You made me laugh about the soy sauce! I was on a cruise last momth (and was impressed on how much they did for me), except the "superviosrs" in the buffet area, kept trying to offer me food with soy. I kept explaining that soy is made from wheat. The dining room staff was fantastic and I never had a problem. No need to take anyting special...

Ok, here goes... First, I cook things overnight or during the day in the crockpot. It usually takes 5-10 minutes to throw things in the pot and away you go. In the crock pot I made chicken tortilla soup (and then put in glad plastic containers, freeze some, put some in refrig. Just microwave for 1 minute when you want to eat. Also make other soups and... -

ARCHIVED I Don'T Know If I Can Do This...
Lesx2 replied to Nightingale8472's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
A crock pot!! It's my favorite kitchen appliance. Just bought a new one this weekend at Costco for $14.99 because I wore my old one out. ( You can order on line from Target very easily too). I too have a schedule like yours. In the morning (or sometimes overnight), just throw in some meat, pork or chicken, gluten-free broth, gluten-free spices, some vegies... -

The best part of the Sandbar is that you can sit in the beach chair (free) with umbrella (just need to order beverage and /or food. You can get to the Sandbar by taxi or water...
