  1. Delallo is the other pasta that doesn't get mushy.
  2. Its a boy. And that is so right! Trying to convince him he might like a more rainproof jacket than a lined hoodie. He won't have cute stuff for his walls or nice matching pillow shams & bed spread but we are trying to whittle down the tools to one tool bag and the power drill box!
  3. I don't have donuts... but I will post a couple of things later. Have to go get the college freshman- to -be moving on a couple of things.
  4. that sounds interesting! I would need some cinnamon with that! SMRI - I would be happy to share any recipes with you, if you want them.
  5. What sort of things does he like to bake? There are some alternatives that aren't too bad - money and taste wise. Cookies with no flour (PB choc chip & a chocolate with nuts or chips that I make). Betty Crocker brownie mix - better and fudgyer than "real" ones. Brazilian cheese breads and various versions. There have been a lot of recipes on this...
  6. It could be Celiac, but getting tested would be helpful. Then you would know if you needed a gluten-free diet or not. You should continue to eat gluten until all testing is completed. Your primary care or OB/GYN can do the basic Celiac blood tests.
  7. For the Celiac blood test? no. fasting doesn't matter.
  8. Ok..... but the question was gluten inside an egg.... This link does say that the eggs are washed on the outside. which leads me back to - eat them or don't - for whatever reason. To me, this appears to be the "Extra Super Sensitive" answer - If you are seriously worried about the eggs but want them anyway - you have to grow your own or find...
  9. I think people had good health reports... which leads to toasting! Really.... do we need any excuse for a glass of wine?
  10. Mine LOVE the stuff that squirts out of a can. lol
  11. I have relatives in Ohio, too!
  12. What crackers did you use? Will expect a full report - even if they suck! Lol
  13. Why don't you use the google function in the top right corner? We have had several threads about that. Here is one recent one: https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/108686-save-making-bread-in-bread-maker-machine/
  14. Chex cereals are almost all gluten-free. I think Pebbles cereals say gluten-free, too? Maybe that would help a little. Yep -Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles are gluten-free.
  15. It's not a new hole. It explains that some " membrane" or wall gets compressed down and covers the other pipe as the egg passes by. Now. I know nothing about chickens but I trust that Laura has found us some correct info. Perhaps you can find some more anatomically detailed drawings or photos that would ease your mind? But really - eggs are washed and...
  16. I thought you were coming to gluten-free colonize Colorado with me? when we lived in the Sacramento area, they were talking about splitting off from the US.
  17. Nice to know you noticed! I wonder if anyone reads them. Open Original Shared Link
  18. ARe you staying in the same area? Or making a giant change like moving to a foreign country like Costa Rica or Los Angeles? Oh! Move here to KC! We have good art scene and a much lower cost of living! It's a great place to raise a kitty!
  19. Just to point out - the OP does not have Celiac so I am not sure if the super sensitive Celiac "rules" apply here. She may have some other issue with foods she hasn't discovered. In my opinion, she should just try the eggs and see how it goes.
  20. If it bothers you, don't eat it - even if its gluten-free.
  21. "Malt" or " malted" means barley. Maltodextrin has nothing to do with barley or wheat in the US.
  22. I don't see any gluten. Sounds like some protein powder we have. I don't like it but have had some and was fine.
  23. Maybe comment on the thread? Many people get notifications that you " quoted" them or follow a thread that they have replied in. If you have questions or want to discuss something, you could make your own topic and see what others think or have experienced.
  24. There might be one or two sunscreens with wheat germ oil but most of them have nothing that is from nature..... All lab made chemicals.
  25. It makes me happy to change my signature every month or so and to have a little picture to go with it!
