  1. There are foods that are harder to digest or harsh on the gut for anyone - Celiac or not. So when a newly diagnosed person, like you, comes on and says they are still having gut issues and they had coffee, hot peppers, dairy, broccoli, etc - we often tell them to eat easier to digest foods or cook the veggies. Its not because these foods keep your gut...
  2. I don't know how long you have been gluten-free. It just may take more time to get the whole system working together. Maybe you need to adjust what you are eating? Maybe you need more fiber? Some probiotics or yogurt every day for a few weeks to get a good balance back?
  3. I have never seen that! Looks great!
  4. There are a couple of brands of gluten-free dining cards. These come in different languages, too. Open Original Shared Link
  5. What do you mean by " apple beer"? Hard cider?
  6. I put a little turkey in the freezer from a few weeks ago. We are having Bisquick turkey pot pie tonight. I add some potatoes to the original recipe. Yum.
  7. Mine has them with the PB . Not as many flavors as Whole Foods or Natural Grocers.
  8. I bought them at " health food stores", groceries and Target. I have seen some coconut ones, too.
  9. Yep. Could be normal for Celiac. Could be the afternoon sleepys that a lot of people get. Open Original Shared Link
  10. Do you aren't doing it to get more blood work? You are doing it just to see if it makes you feel bad? So, I would think you would want to be gluten-free a few more weeks until you feel really good. Then just try eating a favorite gluteny meal and take it from there. If you feel awful in a few hours, stop - you have an answer. It's possible it might take...
  11. If you have had the tests, what is the reason for the gluten challenge? Usually, a gluten challenge is 12 weeks of gluten for someone who has been gluten-free for a long time. Then they do the blood tests and endoscopy.
  12. Let us know what they see or don't see. There are some things at your age they may find that aren't a big deal.
  13. Don't get too worried. You don't have all the data yet. I don't know your age, but it could be some female issues that aren't fatal and are fixable. See what you see tomorrow. It's possible to have 2 problems -Celiac and something else. Often the " something else" is fixable.
  14. I know what you mean. Sometimes it's just too much effort for 1 or 2 people when you have other things going on. Maybe on a day off? Or cook things that make good left overs?
  15. 1...2..3... jinx! We are all talking at once!
  16. Doesn't seem to work in Internet Explorer. I have been told, by high school, and college computer science people that IE is going away & not updating home users?. I try to use safari ( iPad) or Google Chrome when dealing with the forum.
  17. Oh..wait...if you are still testing ( endoscopy) you need to continue to eat gluten. Would be horrible to be gluten-free for 3 months, get an endoscopy and have a lot of healed areas that they biopsy and tell you " no celiac"! Open Original Shared Link
  18. I'm psychic - let me guess your next question. What, who or where is this "Newbie Thread"? https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/91878-newbie-info-101/#entry913144 Ok.....maybe not psychic .... Probably psychotic?.... Possibly just seen this before? Anyway... welcome to the club!
  19. The kids across the street put flavored yogurts on their waffles. Some people make sandwiches with them - like ham and cheese or ice cream.
  20. Oh. That makes sense. Couldn't imagine living without any water- could shower at the gym, drink bottles water, wash clothes at the laundry, but toilets and hand washing? On a serious note - some people do have a problem with corn. But most don't have to go to the extremes Barty does - plastic bottles, a smidge of cornstarch in a pill, etc. maybe just...
  21. You have no water at your house? I think that might cause some health issues you should address before worrying about corn in plastic.
  22. Thanks a lot....... I promised my baby boy pasta for dinner and the Kroger was all out. Lol - just joking with you! But... You know the pasta sauce for all those will cost you $44?
  23. These posts were from about 4 years ago. Hopefully, they are better at gluten free now? I have found that some places that said they wouldn't even try to do gluten-free 4 years ago are really into it today (2014).
  24. The "Gluten free" on a baking powder label has nothing to do with corn. It could still have corn starch. For labeling purposes and Celiac Disease - corn " gluten" is not called gluten.
