  1. I agree. Any weather is ice cream weather! We had Hot Pockets tonight with cantelope and grapes. Yum!!!
  2. I hate being hot. But my friend is a yoga teacher. And around here the hot yoga is about 90 degrees - tops. She teaches basic or gentle hot yoga. Not usually the serious hard core ones. A newbie might be Okay with that if they like the heat. I think it depends on what is popular where you live.
  3. If your antibodies are going down on your yearly checks. The link I gave you says that occasional accidental glutenings won't raise your antibodies.Open Original Shared Link
  4. This is for Linda - but anyone else may read it,too. "Is it possible to have a negative blood test, but a positive biopsy? While rare, it is possible to have a negative blood test and still have celiac disease. tTG sensitivity is approximately 98%, which means that 2% of all celiacs may have a normal tTG level. Sometimes tTG antibodies are not...
  5. I don't worry about what the salon uses. It doesn't get in mouth. At home, I worry about it a little more, because I seem to get shampoo in my mouth. If the make-up won't go in your mouth, it should be fine. Lipstick - needs to be gluten-free. Mascara - not a big deal
  6. I got this mat on line. The "pro" is very heavy (weight to carry around). The Lites are very thin. A good yoga studio will have a wood floor Open Original Shared Link If you have never done yoga before, you might just want to start with a cheap mat from Target ($20). And wear any exercise clothes. Around here, many studios offer specials...
  7. I think he is using the wrong term "allergy". Maybe he thinks that is easier for you to understand? I would ask for the actual pathology report - the doctor who did the biopsy will have it. And then I would ask him does he mean Celiac? A wheat allergy would not give you positive Celiac blood work. Its a whole different thing. "As with most...
  8. Did they give you the whole pathology report? This is odd for a pathology report. Celiac isn't an allergy and a wheat allergy wouldn't leave damage in the small intestine. I am wondering if that is just what your docotor wrote on a report he gave you? I would ask for the whole pathology report.
  9. Sorry. I didn't know the OP was aware of this. I wasn't quite sure exactly what she was asking so I thought she might like a little info on the genetics of Celiac. I don't think it hurt anything to put it here. Maybe someone else reading won't know and would like the link?
  10. Having a gene for Celiac does not mean you have Celiac. But, without the Celiac gene, you likely don't have Celiac. "Genetics don’t diagnose celiac disease. They do, however, clarify whether an individual is “at-risk” for it. If this is the case, you should closely monitor your symptoms and submit to blood tests every 2-3 years or immediately upon the s...
  11. It had something to do with legalizing and profiting from pot, too.
  12. 20+ years ago, when I lived in Calif, some law makers were trying to secede from the US and become their own country.

  18. No. this would not put you back to the beginning and you do not need a blood test. 1 accidental glutening will not produce enough antibodies to show up on blood work. That is why they tell people to eat gluten for 12 weeks to get a positive blood test. Here's some info Open Original Shared Link "Follow-up tests are intended to test whether...

  21. Took my Dad & sis to Bonefish last night! Salmon with mango salsa, garlic whipped potatoes, asparagus. And we got there early enough for a half price glass of wine!
  22. I found that talking out loud, to myself, helped. Make up a topic and expound. It helps you practice retrieving words. Might want to do it in private - people will avoid you and look at you with fear if you are talking about Troops in Afghanistan or making up a story about witches and vampires while shopping at Walmart!
