  1. This makes you glad to be gluten free: Open Original Shared Link
  2. Please do email the corporate office. They can't fix stuff they don't know is broken. This is a company that cares about the gluten-free and allergen free food.
  3. Knock on Wood. Seriously, Connie. There are people on here who were diagnosed with MS and when they went gluten-free it went away. Lots of people have a neurological reaction. No more questioning if a gluten-free diet is needed. If something as simple as what you eat or don't eat helps, thank God that its that simple. Stuff from your intestines...
  4. Just got a call from my college age niece which is odd and my first thought was something happened to her car & she couldn't get a hold of anyone else. Her good friend of many years, whom I have met a few times and found to be a delightful girl, just got dxed with celiac disease!. Talked with friend briefly and will send her an email. Sounds like it...
  5. The policy is to put the sticker on so you know. The owners of PF Changs are very committed to the gluten-free stuff. Go to the website. It has a phone number, address and I think you you can email. Let them know what happened and the location. Really, my neighbor is a part owner of some of them and if it were his store, that girl would be gone. When...
  6. Thank you Dude! I love scrambled eggs with a little red bell pepper and tomato on a piece of toast. I think eggs taste soo much better since going gluten-free. Was never big on meat, either. Now I think it tastes much better.
  7. Seems a bit odd, in a good way. (didn't read the whole thing as my attention span is short). Appears to be employed. Great first name! The kind of name I would give a kid.
  8. Me either. It isn't like there is nothing else to eat. I'll err on the side of caution & if it says barley and/ or malt, I won't eat it.
  9. So......????? Are you going to meet?
  10. Hey! Get the doc to explain why they think they are "fibroids" and nothing more serious. If the explanation isn't complete, keep asking or take the x-rays for a second opinion. I'm a little older (ok a lot) than you but I know many women and a man who's concerns were pushed aside the first time and should not have been. I don't want to scare you needlessly...
  11. I have a dog, so I can pretend I'm actually talking to him or the ghosts.
  12. Great Rey-schelle. Love the friendly ghosts! When J (now 17) was very little, after a nap or in the morning, he would tell me he saw a "grandpa". Called all older people "Grandmas" or "Grandpas". He seemed to realize there wasn't an actual man in his room. I asked him if that was scary. He said, "No. He smiles at me." Even to this day he sort of...
  13. i was going to say what Raven said. You can call or write the doctor before he sees her and tell her all this. Good luck.
  14. Still storming! We didn't have a chance of storms on the morning news. Just realized, I'm turning into one of those crazy, old, lonely people who reply to their own posts.
  15. I think tell her about Celiac but leave the discussion on parasites until you're engaged, maybe marrried.
  16. Lots of us. I take 50,000 units once a week and it has risen well. That reminds me , I'm supposed to take it with dinner tonight & I forgot.
  17. Wow, Hon! Not sure what to say! You have had a rough road. I understand the food prep thing. When my hub tries to cook I hover. As I have been hovering, I'm getting more comfortable that he is following my rules. I trust 2 restaurants because others with Celiac locally trust them. When the local association has meetings there, I figure they know...
  18. I really think we should be born with a switch. Turn it on if you want a baby, turn off 98% of your life. Sounds like you got lucky. Some people have lots of spotting or heavy periods.
  19. This is a subject I know about. Soap and water right away is your best defense. Also, be aware that the oil from the plant can still be on your clothes, tools, pets, shoes. Our dog would walk next to the poison Ivy and then rub against hub & he would get a rash. Hub has some now and finds a hydrocortisone cream helps (especially if you can find one...
  20. We do DQ. Just be careful with the mix-in kinds. They might have made an oreo or cookie dough one right before yours and they don't clean between mixings. I think a lot of the prepackaged ice cream bars, fudgesicles, popsicle things are OK. Check the ingredients or website if there is a brand or kind you like. Also, Frosties at Wendy's are supposed...
  21. What kind would you like? I'll pick one up when I land.
  22. This heat has me packing to go to Jess's.
  23. Hi Connie! I think Sis should go gluten-free, too and see if it helps. Good luck with that! A project to work on after you get yourself sorted out.
  24. Check your products. I had something from Aveeno with oat and wheat. Some Shampoos or conditioners are meant to stick to the hair and make it shiny, soft, etc. If they stick to your hair, they probably stick to fingers and could be hard to wash off.
