  1. According to the Walmart site - Ingredients: Water, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Natural And Artificial Flavors, Sucralose, Contains 2% Or Less of The Following: Malic Acid, Acesulfame Potassium, Yellow 5, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), looks gluten-free.
  2. Never heard of it but probably gluten-free. What Popsicles contain wheat?
  3. No. topical does not go through your intestinal tract. It is possible that it is completely unrelated to eating gluten free.
  4. I have one thought - If you have Celiac disease, You will be absorbing nutrients and medications better as you heal. If you are taking any kind of hormone replacement medication, perhaps you are absorbing it better and may not need such a high dose?
  5. Did he faint at the hospital or home? Either way, you may want to consult a malpractice attorney. I know a few thousand dollars won't make up for the issues, but it makes a nice deposit in the college fund. My son is using his malpractice money for his first and last months rent and some moving expenses to his first job out of college.
  6. Don't make too much of that. Obviously, they can't be used in the same way. I think they just mean that, in this guy's opinion, the flour is the new very healthy food trend.
  7. Maybe you could eat a bit of gluten every day for 2-3 months and get a medical test for Celiac? Then at least you would know if you had a Celiac issue with gluten? If you have celiac disease, you have to be very strict about no gluten.
  8. I would love to hear the results of he biopsies when you get them. The fact that your doctor would go this extra step is incredible.
  9. Did you ask him if his jerkiness went away yet? Ugh
  10. Not every place runs the Celiac panel. Your hospital probably has to send it somewhere . As it isn't an emergency, it wouldn't have been run on the weekend. I think a week is reasonable. My son recently had his run and it took about 2 days longer than his regular blood work ( cbc, etc) that was taken at the same time. Years ago, when I had my blood work...
  11. Just a clarification - you say you don't react to soy sauce....are you talking about gluten-free soy sauce or regular soy sauce with wheat?
  12. I think your best bet would be to eat in Kansas City area as you go through. Wichita is pretty far off the path. Manhattan is a college town, but probably not to full of kids in June. I don't know anything about those places. I would send a message and see if they seem to understand what you are asking. In Overland Park, we have a...
  13. I live in Kansas City and go to Colorado several times a year. There isn't really anything between KC and Denver. Even less between the Kansas/Co line and Denver airport. I would stop in KC/Overland park area for the night and drive thru to Denver the next day. I usually just pack a sandwich. If you want to want to eat in the KC area,...
  14. Just an FTY - you are replying to a 4 year old post. I don think any of the posters have been on in a few years.
  15. I just looked at the ingredients on- line. I am not sure what ingredient you think is not gluten free? Looks Ok to me.
  16. I am not sure how that website determined these gums have gluten. It isn't the gum maker's site. I don't see it in the ingredients . These are the two I checked. Dentyne- INGREDIENTS: SORBITOL, GUM BASE, MALTITOL, MANNITOL, ARTIFICIAL AND NATURAL FLAVORING, GLYCERIN; LESS THAN 2% OF: ACACIA, ACESULFAME POTASSIUM, ASPARTAME, BHT (TO MAINTAIN FRESHNESS...
  17. Yes.. and no. You will need something like xanthum gum. Many all purpose mixes have that. It replaces the "glueness" of gluten in a recipe. Then... substituting with a general purpose gluten-free flour for things like quick breads (banana bread, for example) works well, usually. For other things, different mixes of flours work...
  18. What gum isn't gluten-free? I haven't seen it but I don't chew gum often.
  19. Yes. If you have DH, you have Celiac disease. Open Original Shared Link

  21. Wouldn't let me edit. I left the last line out of the dedicated line explanation - " If there is any risk of cross contamination we will label the allergen in the “manufactured on equipment that processes."
  22. They have a great allegery policy - Open Original Shared Link I have a severe allergy, how do I know if I can consume your products? Mondelēz International is aware of the seriousness of allergens, and takes great care in making sure its products are safe, wholesome and properly labeled. Our products are ...
  23. I just read the ingredients and they have always looked fine to me. So I eat them!
  24. I don't eat that brand. It might be the same amount of bread as before, except without the giant hole in the middle? LOL I have seen the loaves of Udis at Costco and they are quite large. But might only be the "white" bread?
  25. I have a hard time sometimes, on a phone or ipad. This site is very different on different devices. edit - I was just going to try to do a link from the iPad, but the site is running too slow. I find this site runs very slow (takes a long time to move from page to page or update) on my iPad and phone. I have pretty much given up trying...
