    Sumac is big in Persian and Iraqi food. I get it at a Muslim meat store.

    I have sumac! I love that stuff! Great on plainish chicken and rice and veggie stuff! The lady at the Halal store I got it at said her grandma gave it to them to settle stomachs and aid digestion! She and I figured that would be good for Celiac!

My hub flew to Denver this morning and J picked him up & they are in Avon/ Beaver Creek to ski a few days before driving back.

    Dermatitis Herpetiformis - the skin condition associated with Celiac. Not everyone has it. There is a section on this forum about it.

    I blame it on the mental health reform of the 70's (?). You used to be able to lock up your adult relatives with severe mental issues so they could get help. Now it is extremely hard to do that until they have done something really bad. But anyway...this is suposed to be the place to take our minds off the troubles of the world (at least mostly). Saw...
