    Gluten in adhesives is a story that comes up over and over. However, I have never seen a case where it was actually shown that an adhesive did, in fact, contain gluten. I'm not saying it isn't possible, just that I have never seen it actually happen.

    Keep looking for gluten-free pasta. It is becoming much more common. Yes, it is more expensive than the stuff made from wheat. What is your health worth? What will it cost you if you develop other celiac-related health issues? For me it is an easy decision.

    Modified starch is starch that has been partially broken down. Unless it is from a gluten grain, which tapioca is not, it is suitable for a gluten-free diet.

    Whether it will help depends very much on what your issue with dairy is. If lactose (milk sugar) is the issue, then these supplements can provide the lactase enzyme that your body is not producing. But if, like many celiacs, you are intolerant to casein (milk protein), then they won't do a darn thing for you.

    I don't think that she was saying that at all. Leaving aside the question of whether DH and celiac disease are the same or different, the fact remains that the treatment for DH is the strict adherence to a gluten-free diet.

    I would keep it, but that is just my own opinion. I am sure we will hear from those who disagree. There are fractions of fractions that are themselves fractions, but no matter how many times we divide the result will not be a mathematical zero. My thoughts--others will differ.
