  1. Navigator, that sounds incredible! How could you possibly not love chicken wrapped in parma ham et. al.? Man, I love infused oils.
  2. We are having company tonight who are NOT adventurous eaters at all. They think fresh mushrooms are too exotic! They are not willing to try anything new so we are having simple which is also good... Roast Chicken Stuffed with Lemons, Fresh Thyme and Rosemary with Herbed Citrus Butter under the skin - will deglaze the pan with white wine for a simple...
  3. Mushroom, thanks! I've started one off and on but I literally have thousands of ideas swirling through my head and am unsure how to capture them all.
  4. Thanks, Lucia! It was the most wonderful trip imaginable. We did and saw sooooooooo much. We also ate extremely well with no fears of CC. We had donkey for the first time and we again had fresh octopus, squid, scampi, sea bass, turbot, shark, white truffles, etc. It was amazing. Oh, that chowder sounds delicious! So does the vegetable cake. Yum...
  5. No problem. At least there is Dairyland...
  6. I am happy for many reasons - I am blessed with more than I need. My husband is supportive and I am cherished. My pantry is bursting full of enthralling ingredients and I get to spend today in the kitchen! Although it is very cold outside it is bright and sunny. I strongly dislike our winters BUT this winter it did not rain before the snow came so...
  7. Roasted Poblano and Potato Soup with Pumpkinseed Oil Roasted Carrot Hummus Focaccia with fresh green and grassy olive oil from Croatia Strawberries with a few drops of thick aged Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale de Modena
  8. I LOVE your mission! I'm on the same mission with some people, too.
  9. Not very cohesive today: apple juice pear strawberries chocolate chip cookie
  10. Our growing season won't be happening until the end of May. I'd have to plow through the snow to get at the arugula! Anyway, back to the topic at hand - as I stated above I needed the biopsy done psychologically as I just could not accept that I had celiac as I was asymptomatic. I needed more proof. Now after being on this board I know better!
  11. This is the response I received this morning: "This is to acknowledge receipt of your recent e-mail to Parmalat Canada. Thank you for taking the time to write to us regarding our Beatrice Chocolate Milk product. In response to your inquiry, at this time we cannot confirm if any other products than the one listed below can or cannot be declared as...
  12. No, not yet, but their business hours are from M-F so hopefully I will hear from them tomorrow. I am almost (but not quite) positive their chocolate milk does contain gluten (or at least did). Will post as soon as I find out! I definitely remember liking Beatrice chocolate milk better but would settle for Dairyland.
  13. Today was decorating day. We usually leave decorations (including the tree) up until January 1.
  14. Oooooh, I love rocket (aka arugula). It is one of my favourite greens because it goes with so many things.
  15. You know, I could have fun with this. Many words in Croatian do not have English equivalents. Thanks for the idea!
  16. OK, Irish, because you are trying hard and are sporting about it, it means, "chef at heart". I know I am not a trained chef and sometimes deep down wish I was. Just don't tell the others.
  17. Leftover Double-Cut Brined Chops with Sweet Chili Garlic Paste Roasted Butternut Squash and Sage Risotto Roasted Carrots Glazed with Maple Butter Ice Cream Sandwiches with my gluten-free Chocolate Chip Cookies
  18. Would you please post the recipe so we can see the other ingredients as well? Thanks!
  19. You are too fun! And you would make a good hunter. No, it does not mean that technically although that is true.
  20. My husband made us hashbrowns, sauteed mushrooms and ham, lightly scrambled some eggs and arranged it all in a tower and topped with a bit of cheese (I am still limiting the amounts I can have). He is our breakfast cook.
  21. I've been wondering about this, too. As far as I know I have had three courses in my life - the most recent a few months ago when I had a severe GI infection. It helped immensely. My doctor was reluctant to place me on antibiotics as I have celiac so made sure I doubled up on my probiotics before, during and after. Good doctor!
  22. This Cherry Clafoutis is lovely for breakfast or brunch... Open Original Shared Link
  23. Thanks lots! I said this on another thread but I managed to get four seats in a row on the Toronto to Frankfurt flight both there AND return! It was amazing. I got to lie down. I really like Italy a lot but I do confess I love Croatia more. Biased, I know, but I prefer less crowds and chaos and commercialism. Not that everywhere in Italy is that...
  24. I was wondering when someone would do Google Translate!
