  1. This looks so easy. I can't wait to try it. I don't have the ingredients for it now so if anyone makes it please post how it goes. Thanks for posting the recipe Juliebove!
  2. Fajitas, Hope your appointment goes better than you think and doesn't cost too much. I didn't think it was very likely crowns would fall out. Did you have it long? Glad to see your noticeing some changes. That's a great incentive to keep going. I struggle in the winter with working out too. Something happens to me and I think I'm supposed to eat a lot...
  3. Thanks for the replies. I emailed the company and asked if the crackers were made on a decicated line. The response I got was as follows: Dear Joni, The crackers do not have wheat or gluten in them however it is present in the facility. There are strict guidelines concerning the sanitizing of the machinery which is followed however there is always...
  4. Double post...sorry!
  5. Hi and welcome Ratroot and Kaycee! Trail running is fun, that's how I run everyday. I bought a trail running sneaker, but haven't used them for running yet. I wore them once just to try and see how they feel for just walking. The trail shoes your talking about sound really nice. Where did you see those? This is a new week! It's time to get serious...
  6. I have struggled with yeast infections since my son was born 7 years ago. I think I get about 2 a year. If I increase my coffee intake or eat just 1 chocolate candy bar for several days in a row I seem to get them. I've done a search and found some information, but I'm confused. Monistat and Diflucon don't work for me, I get another cream prescription...
  7. I just had the most awesome dinner out. It was perfect from start to finish. I had a shrimp pasta in a creamy garlic sauce with roasted peppers and it was terrific! Complete with garlic bread! I also had a salad and a brownie and everything was gluten free. I highly recommend this restaurant. They have a gluten free menu but told us that 80 percent of...
  8. I got them frequently before being diagnosed, but none since going gluten free. My Dr. and I both thought it was perimenopause, but it was definately from gluten.
  9. Just curious... I've been eating them since I went gluten-free on Aug. 1st with no problem but 2 days ago had the seaweed crackers and felt glutened. Had them again the next day because I didn't think they were the problem and had stomach problems again. Opened a new pack of the plain rice crackers and feel heart-burnish now. I know they say they are...
  10. Hello everyone, Sounds like most of you are doing well. I think the season changing is wreaking havoc on me and my eating habits. I've increased my exercises and have a great workout schedule I've started. Problem is I'm HUNGRY all the time right now. I can't shake it and it's been for chocolate. So much that I got a yeast infection because I was...
  11. Hi and congrats on the new pup! I think with my pups it usually took about 4 to 6 weeks to house train. Every time a mistake happens you need to clean up the area really well so they cannot even smell where they went. There are some good enzyme eating formulas out for this purpose. Hopefully with the dog walker letting it out a couple times will help...
  12. Hello all, I've done terrible lately. Good with exercise but craving chocolates and sweets. I'm determined to get back on track today because I still have some lbs. to lose. I think I've hit the 'poor me' depression part of being celiac. It's only been about 7 weeks and I did real good at first, but have felt kind of down lately and more tired than normal...
  13. I was told by a person who works in a gluten free bakery to NOT overmix any homemade batters/bread mixes. She said to let the moisture absorb into the flours slowly and not to try and do it quickly like traditional baking. I have not attempted any baking yet, but wonder if anyone has found this to be true?
  14. LOL about the exercise Donna!
  15. Ok, so I haven't been doing that great either. I think the weather being a little cooler has made me want to go into hybernate mode - eat and sleep! I've done well with exercise, but I am just hungry all the time right now. Today: B: Rice puff cereal (doesn't fill me up at all), soy milk, banana S: Tostitos and nacho cheese dip, 2 pieces of turkey breast...
  16. Hello, I was looking on their webisite and checking the ingredients in their mineral wear line. I can't see any obvious gluten in those products and they look safe to me. BUT in their FAQ section it says: Q. Does Physicians Formula products contain Gluten? A. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that none of the ingredients, or derivatives in our...
  17. Hello everyone, Went to get eyes checked today. I do need glasses (which is no surprise!) for reading and distance. I have an astigmatism in my right eye which is causing the double vision. Everything else in my eye looked normal, except they said my eyes are just a little bit different size. He said usually eyes are symmetrical and mine are not, but...
  18. What is SLS?
  19. Sorry to hear about your aunt.
  20. Hello everyone, I weighed in at 133.2 today, that's a 2 lb. loss this week! Wohoo! I jogged today and moved well over 100 bales of hay - twice! My horse will be happy this winter, but I am already sore. It took most of the day. B: Gorilla munch, soy milk, flax seed S: 1 banana with peanut butter L: 1 cup brocolli casserole, 10...
  21. LOL Mango04, I love my chocolate too! I've been so careful, but today I had a chocolate bar. I've been pretty good overall and I don't believe in total deprivation, just moderation! Last 3 days: Tuesday: B Perky's, soymilk glax seed, 1/2 banana S 10 rice cracker with Garbanzo bean dip (really good, mom made it!), apple sauce L Turkey...
  22. I lost about 5 lbs in my first month and inches off my waist (not sure how many). My bloating stomach definately decreased, even though I still feel bloated at times. Just eliminated dairy yesterday and it seems to be making a difference already. My mom saw me yesterday for the first time in over a week and she said "Your really losing weight and your...
  23. I just wanted to give a little update. Whatever it was lasted 2 full weeks. My eye lids were puffy (right side a bit more) and I had slight pain in the right side of my head (near my eye) when I looked around. Those symptoms are gone now, but my vision in that eye is still slightly worse than before it happened. It seemed like some kind of "episode". ...
  24. Momma Goose, I just wanted to tell you, I went dairy free yesterday and my stomach is flatter this morning. I think the first couple weeks I was being real careful and avoiding most dairy. But then I started eating yogurt and cheese daily. I think that was it! Thanks!
  25. Hello, My stomach bloating went down significantly since going gluten free a month ago. I've been eating corn and rice daily, but did buy soy milk for my cereal. Other than switching from regular milk, I've been eating yogurt and cheese quite often and just seem to have a little burping going on, but livable. I bought a B12 Instant Dissolve Methylcobalamin...
