    oh yikes, this sounds awful... many many celiacs are not underweight (me one of them!) and many celiacs do not have diarrhea (me again!)     I had TOTAL VILLOUS ATROPHY and screaming antibodies but very few GI symptoms (although a whole lot that made me think cancer, ALS, MS etc...). GI Dr. basically said "yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh, it's celiac. Nothing I can do. Stop eating gluten. See ya"...No further testing, no followup. My GP was MUCH better!

    chiming in late to the dance but I can only echo everyone's sentiments that healing can be slow, excruciatingly slow but we celebrate the baby steps.     So at a local health food store that has a TON of gluten-free products (so many that I figure the owner must have Celiac!) they had samples of UDIs gluten-free muffins. Now, I had to throw away my UDIs cinnamon buns, they were awful but I miss a nice muffin, so I went and grabbed a sample. On the same plate there were some organic cookies. They had the package...

    well crap (literally and figuratively)...for me it is time and rest unfortunately. Maybe some advil, tylenol type painkiller? I have been gluten-free for a year and you just reminded me of that whole body pain, head to toe, every joint/muscle/bone/***Shudder!*** Hope you feel better soon!

    Love this! My cats are gluten free as well because I am also terrified of making myself sick (as well as them!). These babies are Grain Free and lovin' it!

    Hey If you are going for more testing, you need to stay on gluten as sucky as that sounds. I'm sorry, I didn't have a chance to look at your history.     [i used to think that my issues were just dairy related, but then my problems continued once I cut out dairy. My doctors that I've had have told me that my symptoms are normal. It's frustrating. Until I find a doctor that will listen, I feel like I'm on my own.
