  1. I just ordered some gluten and dairy free probiotics from Culturelle. Does anyone else take these and did they help?
  2. Just wondering where everyone gets their glutening pain. Mine is pretty low and feels sort of like period cramps but worse..almost razor like. How long does your pain usually last after being glutened? Does anyone else get a bad lower back ache when glutened?
  3. Thanks. The sugary kind actually made me feel worse than the HFCS one. Maybe it has more caramel color in place of the HFCS..who knows.
  4. Thanks! I know and I agree, it is so tiring especially when a full blown glutening comes on and you have no idea what is was from.
  5. Thanks. I can't tolerate any of them either. Clear soda and dark sodas both make me feel badly. I was recently glutened by some bacon and the D just will not stop. The only other 2 new things that I have added in months is Pepsi and Simply Apple Juice. I guess I am off sodas now...Another thing bites the dust. I guess i'll dig out my Mr. Coffee Iced Tea...
  6. I am just wondering if any other super sensitives react to sodas. At first I thought it was the high fructose corn syrup so I bought Pepsi Throwback with sugar. Whenever I drink either one, I get cramps and diarrhea. I'm NOT in any way trying to start a caramel color debate but could this bother a super sensitive? Thanks
  7. The hardest part about celiac for me is...Mysterious glutenings when you have absolutely NO idea what zapped you this time even though you are freakishly careful.
  8. Thanks everyone. I was "corned" on Sunday from some bacon. Now I am being extra careful. Now I know that I need to avoid dextrin. Corn is harder to avoid than gluten. They both give me similar feelings so I have to be extra careful now. - jeez..... Does anyone know if the carmel color in Pepsi throw back (the one with sugar and no HFCS) is corn free...
  9. I have been reacting to corn gluten like crazy. I know that corn is safe for many celiacs. I am not trying to start a corn gluten thread, I am just wondering if those of you who react to corn with gluten like symptoms (mine are the same as when I am glutened) do you react to corn syrup as well as corn? I gave up all corn as far as fresh corn and popcorn...
  10. I have been glutened 4 times since Thanksgiving. Once at a restaurant and the other times were cross contamination mistakes. The one from the restaurant really threw me off track and made me really sick. I have not fully recovered from that and with the 3 additional mistakes, it's been rough. I have been having malabsorption problems which I know is...
  11. Whenever I get glutened, after the pain subsides, I get what I think is mucus discharge from the rectum. It's sometimes mixed with a bit of stool but often times it's with gas alone. I had D last week from being glutened by CC but when that all goes away, I get this. It's very annoying and gross. Would a decongestant like Sudafed or Mucinex get rid of...
  12. Hamburgers with purple onion and green bell pepper mixed in and oven baked fries with a little olive oil and chopped basil, Banana and chocolate sauce for dessert.
  13. I hear ya! I am very tired of it myself! I get so damn jealous of people who can eat anything. For instance, my neighbor brings home fast food almost every night or they get pizza or eat frozen stuff etc. I would just like ONE easy thing that I don't have to make totally from scratch. I am so super sensitive that I have to make my own potato chips...
  14. It sounds like typical celiac symptoms to me. i have been gluten free for 2 years and with every accidental glutening, I get the mucus and oily junk. That in addition to your other symptoms sure sound like celiac. Many many people are misdiagnosed with IBS. Why dont you try the gluten free diet and see if you get better.
  15. Thanks everyone! I appreciate it!
  16. I was thinking of ordering some make up from Afterglow. I was wondering if anyone uses this make up and what you think about it. Thanks!
  17. These are AMAZING! I really can not believe that they are gluten free cookies. They taste like brownies. They are soft and chewy and very good. Not gritty at all they are very smooth and velvety tasting. I used C&H powdered sugar (confectioners sugar) and Hershey's cocoa powder and I skipped the espresso stuff. I also added 1 tablespoon of water...
  18. I have not tried to make these yet but as soon as I can get to the store I will! Open Original Shared Link
  19. What are some good snacks for us super sensitives? I usually have Hormel Naturals Turkey, fruit, or leftovers. What do you all have? I am gluten, soy, dairy and corn free. I just had a few slices of turkey and an apple with cinnamon. It was pretty good but sometimes i'd like something else. Thanks!
  20. Most of them are gluteny..was just wondering if anyone here knew of anything good.
  21. It's been really cold here in Missouri so I have been having cocoa every night with Hersheys cocoa powder and rice milk. What else can I do with cocoa powder? would it be good in coffee? Any ideas?
  22. I would eat out if I could find something gluten, casein and soy free. I have gotten sick on every single "gluten free" menu out there. Most things have soy or corn or nuts. The upside to being super sensitive is shopping the outer isles of the store. It takes me no time at all. I am also eating healthier than everyone that I know and I have become quite...
  23. It makes me mad too. The thing that is the worst is that none of the companies can tell you exactly whats in it AND, do I really want a bunch of chemicals all over my face every day? I would bet that there are a ton of women in our situation who can't wear make-up. It is sad. I hear ya on the laundry detergents and everything. I have to use unscented...
  24. Thanks Missy'smom. I am going to have to stick with just olive oil because it's the only one that I do ok with. You and I share a lot of the same intolerances.
  25. Oh boy, I sure as heck hope not. I start off every day at the kitchen table with the paper and breakfast. Say it isn't so!
