Just asking because I started this diet 4 weeks ago (fully scientific research version with near zero carbs and getting 80% of my calories from fats) and it fixed all my digestion issues within 2 weeks, I now have perfect stools everytime, once a day instead of 6 times . It's almost completely cured (or very heavily supressed) my immune system disease also...

ARCHIVED An Interesting Story And Introduction
foam replied to foam's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Yes I don't eat Olive oil anymore or Coconut oil. I went through the whole Coconut oil phase and I really didn't feel it doing anything good. Macadamia and natural animal fats are the gold standard for me. I've taken a LOT of different antibiotics and treatments for SIBO, I've even done two months of Diflucan and a few other antifungals. None of that helped... -

I'll just leave this here. My sons growth chart (hes pretty lean but heavy). No grain, no cow dairy (he has buffalo and goat yogurt sometimes). But basically he's just on a Paleo/Autoimmune diet since birth. In the month since this he's crossed over the next line up into the 75th percentile. -
ARCHIVED Glutened Or Vitamin Deficient?
foam replied to Melia's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
You need a b12 shot or 3. Typical normal thing for a celiac. Your symptoms are classic b12 deficiency. You'll feel amazing 5 hours after the first shot. -
Research phytic acid. It'll help you understand why these things make you sick. You'll soon see a list of foods that don't agree with you, in the exact order of how much they hurt you depending on how much phytic acid they contain. Coincidence?

ARCHIVED Glucose From Wheat
foam replied to ivyandwill's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Outside the US and heavily US influenced countries ALL glucose is made from wheat. It's not the greatest stuff in the world, being a refined sugar but I'd take it 1000x before I took the same thing made from Corn. It's very common stuff and yes it has no gluten. But it's made from a grain and it's sugar, I wouldn't eat it if you wanted to remain healthy... -

Hi, we can talk here sure. PM me if you want to email me. I'm a bit worried I've missed slackette, it's a terrible disease to have to go through without knowing other people with it and it's so rare that's hard to find. (there's a handful of us in contact with each other but no one is in the same country as each other). I've been hanging out in groups... -
ARCHIVED Dairy Intolerant...any Success In Adding In Goat's Milk?
foam replied to BlessedMommy's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Goats milk is ok, Buffalo milk too. Much easier to digest that the modern dairy cows milk. -
ARCHIVED Some Probiotics Can Increase Histamine
foam replied to FruitEnthusiast's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
All the gut flora do different things, regulate your immune system by releasing cytokines and they make nutrients for you too. Don't worry about what ones make histamine and what don't. What you need is to collect many more species of them. Probably you only have 100 species or so. Humans still living in nature have some 3000 different species, they all... -

Imagine that!, years later and someone with Kimura's arrives. I actually came here to update everyone on how I was going and share the things I've learned. I've spent the last year/s reading reading and learning learning. I've gone up like 50 levels of understanding about food / intolerance's / gluten / grains and all these things. I'm currently taking... -

ARCHIVED I Got My Results Don't Know What To Do Next, Please Advise I'm Lost
foam replied to tallypop's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Did they test your B12 levels? it can mess you up just as much as low Vit D levels. Although low Vit D puts you at risk for a lot of serious disease so you best fix that asap. Check that B12... It can make you so tired that you can't sleep. Also you might have helicobacter or in the end it could be gluten. The tests are pretty random anyway. If you feel better... -
ARCHIVED Maybe It Is Gmo's Causing Problem
foam replied to bartfull's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
We don't have GMO Corn in my country and it's still hard to digest.. That's just the nature of corn I'm afraid. I'm quite sure everyone with a leaky gut or hypersensitivity has built up enough problems that they will probably never fully recover to the point of being able to eat everything a more hardy person can. I was getting pretty over eating almost nothing... -
ARCHIVED Do Any Usa Doctors Prescribe Oral Ketotifen?
foam replied to Laura Wesson's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I got it from mimaki pharmacy same place I get everything else. Open Original Shared Link I ate a full block of chocolate 2 days ago just to see what would happen as it usually makes me sick. Didn't do anything. Not that I'm going to live a life of eating chocolate but good to know I can eat it without a problem -
ARCHIVED Can Constipation Make You Toxic?
foam replied to Juliebove's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I got severe acne about the same day I became vegetarian. I'm not sure why but I guess I increased consumption of things my body didn't like. I persisted with it for 20 years but looking back I shouldn't have. Or at least done it in a much smarter way. Problem is it's a very difficult diet to do properly. The modern vegetarian invariable eats far more grains... -

Whenever you are healthy you have hyper active sex drive, that's what healthy is. Unless you are a plant and you are dying, then they do the same thing with their last energy . -

ARCHIVED When Did You See Weight Gain/growth...
foam replied to ryo's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
She probably wont catch back up to her potential, height is achieved day by day over the time your body is able to lengthen. Every time you get sick or malnourished the growth will pause, you don't get that back, that's ok, we would all be over 6 foot if everything turned out perfect all the time. An inch in 6 months is close enough to normal for a 5 year... -

He guys, if any of you are still going down the mast cell stabiliser path?. I've been on the Pemirolast potassium for about 3 weeks now, from the very little information I could find about it, it seems to be the either the best mast cell stabiliser going or at least equally good to cromolyn . As far as I can tell it works like a boss. Zero side effects that... -
ARCHIVED Anyone Recover From Chronic Insomnia After Going gluten-free?
foam replied to carrieanna76's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I'm still taking B12 shots. I just go and get one when I start waking up during the night or not falling asleep before 2am or so. That's still how I schedule the shots we don't even bother measuring the levels any more. I need one on average every three months to fall asleep properly. Vitamin D does similar things to B12, best to take both. About 7,000 IU... -

Insomnia comes with low B12 levels, oddly since you are also tired all the time. -
ARCHIVED 18 Month Old Failure To Thrive
foam replied to Mamaof2's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Lactose intolerance is ALWAYS the first sign of celiac disease imho. It shows up long before the tests will, it's an early sign, be happy for the early signs. I don't even believe you can have one without the other and if anyone tells me you can I wouldn't believe it . -
ARCHIVED 16 Month Old With Probable Celiac Disease
foam replied to AGsMom's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
One of my doctors told me I can feed my son gluten without worrying about permanent damage before he's about 8 years old. We had planed to do the gene test sometime about now and see if his WBC count was normal (mines stuffed up with an eosinophilic disease) but I've decided to just not bother him at the moment and raise him grain free. He's six and a half... -
ARCHIVED Do Any Usa Doctors Prescribe Oral Ketotifen?
foam replied to Laura Wesson's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Xolair will get rid of high IgE levels for sure but it's expensive and it's not a permanent fix. Food Allergy Herbal formula 2 (FAHF-2) also drops IgE levels. There's ongoing studies in the States about that, it's seems to work very well in all the studies so far. Cetirizine will drop IgE levels also, if you don't have an immune system disorder that's... -
ARCHIVED Do Any Usa Doctors Prescribe Oral Ketotifen?
foam replied to Laura Wesson's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
You are better off just importing it. It's not available in Australia either so I by it from Japan, it's cheap and arrives quickly, 100 capsules is like 30 dollars. I found it to have massively good antihistamine effects. Normally I'm doing 10mg Zyrtec and 20mg claratyne daily. But Ketotifen at 1mg three times a day was much more effective as an antihistamine...
