  1. Little quick update, had an IgE result the other day at 2800. So it's gone 4100, 1900, 2800. The 1900 I think was an anomaly because I was having a bad reaction at the time and I think most of the IgE were bound to tissue rather than being in the blood. This time everything was stable so I'll take that as a measure of my real improvement. My eosinophil...
  2. Hey Bryan I'm following the SCD diet to the letter at the moment. It's certainly not as effective immediately as eating no sugar at all but you can actually hold your weight on it and slowly improve which is good. Better than starving yourself and improving for a week before you start to get deficient in _everything_. SCD is a pretty easy to follow diet for...
  3. The Dominos gluten free pizza gives me a bigger reaction than eating wheat itself.. I don't know why, I've tried looking through the ingredients in the base and it made my head spin the amount of crap that's in it lol.
  4. I'm o- and genetically Celiac, lot of o negatives in here for such a rare blood type...
  5. My Tumour is rock hard but mobile and painless, but that's only because of it's location in my neck, I wouldn't worry too much about a pea size lump but watch it and if another one comes up, then you can really worry. Mines egg sized (on a good day) and generally much bigger than that. It's not allways the case but most of the time a tumour with smooth rounded...
  6. I know when Angela Stokes lost her weight it took a long time for her skin to recover, She seems pretty tight now, I've seen pictures of her wearing singlets lately but it took a long time and she's on a fairly extreme diet not many others could maintain.
  7. I had lumps/blistery things on the back of my neck, shoulders, lower back and sometimes chest for 20 years straight. Turned out I had very high IgE levels and that's what was causing my excessive histmine release. The anti histmine Zyrtec all but cleared them up within days. I'm on Zytrec permanently as long term use of Zyrtec lowers IgE levels, it is working...
  8. In my case I seem to have had a chronic malabsorption and leaky gut for at least 20 years. What is working for me at the moment is a mostly grain free (I'm having certified oats occasionally now) and really loading up on the trace elements. I must be completely out of quite a few important minerals like for example selenium and it's probably going to take...
  9. Fine line between an intolerance and full on Celiac disease, either way you can end up autoimmune. I only ever got gut aches from eating bread/pasta/etc and a slight brain fog immediately before the gut ache and complete system flush :0 but it wasn't enough of a problem that I thought I needed to stop eating it. I certainly never had anything like you read...
  10. Try not to eat processed food for a while if you can. As far as eating goes just pretend it's 1930 and you should be ok. I even suggest using lard or butter rather than modern oils, everything was better in the old days
  11. I've got the feeling you will get sick again eventually on gluten. I'd just do the gene test and if you have DQ2 then don't eat gluten ever again. That's the only way to be sure.
  12. Hey guys, hope you are all battling on well. I'm doing ok, improving overall. I seem to be effectively cured from bacterial overgrowth / imbalance after the metronidazole. I have no upper gut pain any more and my tongue is looking quite good rather than totally white and crusty. What I did was take the metronidazole and then took only natural probiotics I...
  13. Oh hey I totally forgot it's harvest time for artichokes, they grow wild all over my garden but I've never bothered eating them. Because I didn't know they were good for leaky guts until this year. They are a very invasive plant, super easy to grow, weed like actually!
  14. Hey Bryan how are you feeling now? I'm feeling excellent now that I've recovered from that antibiotic. I'm getting into antifungal herbal cleansing now, see how that goes. Been pretty busy grinding leaves.
  15. I find avoiding corn exactly the same as avoiding gluten. I have to make all my food from basic ingredients anyway so it' makes no difference at all. Most of my friends are at the point where they can't digest things like Corn chips, they are probably fine with trace amounts, corn syrup and things like that
  16. What am I up to now? day 4? now have zero symptoms from the metronidazole and still no gut pain, no problems eating fruit. Even super ripe figs!. Eosinophilia is still obviously high but I feel really powerful in my muscles and light on my feet. Best I've felt in a long long time. Now I'm not sure what to do... will I take probiotics as I come off this stuff...
  17. I think Corn is just not digestible as a rule these days. They've bred corn to be very high protein and originally it wasn't like that. It seems to give everyone digestive problems now. So most people just don't eat it, not eating Corn isn't really an issue.
  18. Well I now have zero gut pain so it seems I did/do have small intestine overgrowth as the (one of) the reasons my gut hasn't been able to heal. Obviously I also have an auto immune condition as a result and that's the main problem but it'll be good if I can at least get the gut sorted and gain some weight more easily. I'll probably take another similar...
  19. I tell you what guys.... I might be on a winner here. Seeing a substantial drop in the size of my neck node, smallest it's been since last November and getting smaller by the hour. Not sure how much the metronidazole knocks your immune system around normally but _something_ is happening. It really hammers your gut though, quite painful for a while after you...
  20. Your not eating anywhere near enough, not even 10 percent. No wonder you have brain fog. It would be better if you were eating like. A full chicken in one day and some chicken soup with veggies in it. And a litre of yoghurt and other stuff. Then say half a kilo of red meat the following day + other stuff. There would be starving people in worn torn countries...
  21. Well you are eating _heaps_ of carbs now.. fruit, peas, chickpeas, nut / fruit bars, rice. It's not like you are eating only veggies and meat, technically you should eat more like that for leaky gut, but then you don't have any real serious gut problems it seems. Don't be afraid to make yoghurt yourself its so easy and much less expensive.
  22. Well I wouldn't touch peanut butter in a fit!. Not advisable to eat near impossible to digest proteins like that with leaky gut. I'd avoid grains and nuts mostly. Legumes maybe, smash down things like cabbage, cabbage is the best. Eat lightly cooked meat at will. Roast a chicken... eat it. (don't lightly cook chicken but red meat digests better lightly cooked...

    ARCHIVED Doctors!

Don't knock the anti histamines I take Zyrtec every single day and it's improved my quality of life a lot. No more itchy acne like sores, like above they can be a pretty good and relatively harmless immune modulator. p.s cold hands and tingly extremities (don't know if lady bits qualify but they might) is classic B12 deficiency. I've had tingly and cold hands...
  24. No problem we are only being harsh yet truthful because we want you to live a healthy life and this is serious stuff. Welcome :!
  25. My doctor says "we doctors don't know anything". It's the truth, they are only human like everyone else. Actually my doctor knows a lot, at least he knows leaky gut is real that's more than most. Um I'm taking metronidazole at the moment it's one of the usual drugs for bacterial overgrowth, it happens to kill a lot of small parasites that cause weird health...
