  1. I think the has no range is permanent now!, seems to be. There is no Kiwi's left because they all moved to the big dry island.
  2. If your still overweight I would say your not very sick YET because sick people from celiac/gluten intolerance are beyond skinny _always_. But this concerns me "Just before 2am I woke up sweating and having horrible stomach pains and very very nauseated" That's how it first started for me, once in a while... twice a while....... couple times a day...
  3. Depends how sick you want to get later in life and which auto immune system you want to live with....during your by then shortened life span . That's the correct answer to your question. I.e if your smart you'll never touch it again and be thankful you got it in time. Once your body starts destroying itself it's no joke any more and you'll see on this forum...
  4. Bryan talk to me, have you had standard blood tests? white cell count? and general testing? is there anything abnormal showing up there?. Constant gut pain will show up as something abnormal, just a matter of finding it. My guts burns constantly and has for years and years I'm 123 lbs and 5' 10" so you are not alone, my blood tests show massive and obvious...
  5. Getting diagnosed on paper isn't at all important other than one reason (you need to, to get help from a doctor). Problem is by the time you get a test you wouldn't have eaten gluten in years anyway.. why? because people tend not to eat things that make them sick in the guts.. maybe a couple times,, maybe ten years like me lol but eventually you will say...
  6. Man.. talk about side effects coming hard and fast with the metronidazole (and leaving hard and fast). Massive gut burning during the later half of the second day, like I normally have but worse x 10. I'm quite bloated but now pain free (better than usual) and feeling great again :!). I've got the much raved about metal taste now. This stuff is supposed to...
  7. Hey Brian, consider replacing the bananas with carrots sometimes and I'd cut the fruit and nut bars for sure. Interesting reading ! good luck. I wish I could offer some advice on weight gain but in my experience weight gain and the extra carbs you need to do it just make things worse. My doctor reckons my gut is leakier than than a hessian bag.
  8. Hey guys, didn't improve this last test. Well the IgE results weren't in yet but Kidneys and Eosinophils were still bad. The good news is that my persistent dodgy tongue is persistently "better" and that My Neutrophil count was within normal range for the first time in a few years other than that time I got my eosinophils down by some lucky unknown reason...
  9. Leis I hope you don't have MS, my father was diagnosed with MS about 10 years ago after some seizures where he would be practically fine one minute and paralysed the next and not able to walk hardly at all for days or weeks. He had a MRI and which showed brain lesions about 10 years ago and he immediately went dairy free got on the vitamin D and on some crazy...
  10. Sometimes I can go from having a lump the size of an egg in my neck (normal for me) to an orange sized in the space of 12 hours with a huge itching histamine response before hand, it's very disconcerting because it feels like it's going to burst or cut off the circulation in my neck arterys. I've never been able to fully track down the worst food that cause...
  11. Thanks ladymiss, I had a new round of blood tests today. I'm expecting a further improvement and interested to see what my kidney function looks like now that I'm eating meat and it can be accurately tested hopefully it's better than it appeared on paper before. We discussed options today and if I continue to improve well then we will just continue with...
  12. My allergist put me on a histamine free diet.. worked really well for my itching and general excessive histamine. I'm still on anti histamines for the Kimuras's disease (Zyrtec) but I can go off that and not itch which I couldn't before, I'd been scratching my skin off for 20 years
  13. You have to understand doctors and all their secretaries have a job because of your illness so they always want to see you again. I'm in the habit of getting copies of all my results anyway, like everyone says if you ask for them they will give them to you (they have to) you can even get CT scans, ultra sound pictures, xrays, MRI's etc on a celiac disease...
  14. In my opinion and experience it's absolutely true IF you have a leaky gut. Anything foreign to the immune system outside the lining of the gut WILL be attacked, that's any food protein and the more you eat of it, the more antibodies against it you will have, simple stuff. Antibodies go away with time, it's why many people on here are on a rotation diet. ...
  15. An allergist told me not to eat sultanas because of the natural fungus that grows on them. I think it's pretty normal to react to dried fruits as a whole when you have slight allergies to fungus/mould as everyone with a damaged gut does. Dried Apricots RUIN me, the sulphates are also a problem but I think the moulds are the main thing.
  16. I had the usual gut pain as a kid (before my teens). Firstly noticed lactose intolerance during my teens, then sores all over my back and chest in my early 20s. Noticed a Soy intollerance in my mid twenties, Rye bread started to hit me hard at age 27. Pretty much lost all breads and digestion at age 36 and had a bloated gut the size of ET's and started to...
  17. Apart from the persistent sores all over my skin I used to end up on the toilet with huge pain at 2am not even knowing my name or if I was alive or not... quite a strange thing, then I'd slowly become lucid again and then go back to sleep . These days gluten has almost no effect on me whatever other than ruining my gut more which I'm still trying to fix....
  18. Bloating went away as soon as I got on b12 shots and the majority of stomach and digestive upsets / pain etc went away with the gluten. Still ongoing other problems some years later because gluten free was too little too late for me. But I'm getting there. I only wish I had of know there was such a thing as Celiac or gluten problems when I was 17 because...
  19. If those nodes stay swollen you want to get blood tests for starters and look for any anomalies. I've got swollen nodes and one especailly large one the size of an egg (on average and sometimes the size of a baseball) in my neck. If you ever see any enlarged lymph node in your neck that doesn't respond well to an anti biotic trial you want to get a needle...
  20. As above sounds like Latex allergy to me, Avocado and Kiwi fruit both come under that, fairly common
  21. SCD is a very good starting point imho and work it to suit yourself later, but it'll be very very close for anyone with leaky gut
  22. Many of my friends put a growth spurt in their early twenties after being static for some years before that. I noticed this because when we all split apart after school at age 19 I was taller than most of them. Caught up with them about 10 years later and many of the short ones had grown about 6 inches! It happens sometimes.
  23. Hello!, little update. I'm doing well at the moment. I stopped eating potatos, I reached a point where I didn't need them for the energy any more and they were starting to do me more harm than good (starting to have pain when I ate them). Big gain since I stopped eating them actually, I really needed them during elimination testing but I've overdone them...
  24. Um I don't think I had to fast, but I had lots of blood tests drawn that day and I had to fast for some so I was fasting for them all . Here's my results anyway, seems I got confused in my earlier post it was the IgA that was a little high but the IgE is the crazy one for me. In the brackets are healthy reference ranges. Bold are those results out...
  25. Yes I seem to been one who's allergic to histamine in foods, really weird since my histamine levels in my body are also crazy high, or at least were until I started on the Zyrtec. yeasts/moulds/histamine as far as I can tell these are what causes me pain and undigested proteins cause the other problems. I finally got myself some HCL tablets, seemed to be...
