Newtoitall replied to Newtoitall's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut

I am looking at this bag of prunes as I was interested in trying 1 or 2 and seeing how that goes, but the ingredients list, Sulphites which I know is fine and is just a preservative, but it also contains potassium sorbate which has been proven to have some negative side effects, I just can't find out in what amount is it a health risk, if I ate the prune...

ARCHIVED Has This Ever Happened To You From Salt?
Newtoitall replied to Newtoitall's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I am pretty sensitive to corn yeah, I have just recently switched over to celtic sea salt and while it does leave me a lil itchy, it doesn't seem to cause any kind of swelling or anything so it's good for when I need salt in fermenting or something. -
ARCHIVED Has This Ever Happened To You From Salt?
Newtoitall posted a topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I get some swelling in my right knee and left elbow, it amuses me that it's opposite sides like that, but it is actually fairly sore on the elbow =/ this is a newer reaction, I've always reacted poorly to salt but only with skin/scalp never a legit join inflammation, it may not have been the salt I was just wondering if anyone HAD this particular reaction... -

ARCHIVED Metamucil Issues
Newtoitall posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I got in to see a new gastro, and the visit really didn't amount to much, but at least he seemed somewhat interested in finding a solution to my issues, but he wanted to see what would happen if I added metamucil into my diet for a while, I had never actually tried anything like that for fear it would hurt me. He assured me it wouldn't but low and behold...- 8 replies

Oh it's absolutely infuriating sometimes, It's friggin hard dealing with all this at 23, all my friends are out living it up and I'm trapped by this friggin auto immune BS >:( I think the hardest part is having no enemy to fight, normally when you are sick, you know what it is, how to deal with it and when you can expect results, so your will to fight...

Newtoitall commented on lexibrowning's blog entry in Lexi's Blog
lol that's funny, mac and cheese was one of my all time favorite foods, I was eating so much of it shortly before thing's went really south, I didn't get the obvious stomach troubles until after I tried something for the depression, my parents refuse to give up gluten, but they do a pretty good job at keeping it in their own small well cleaned area's Thanks... -
ARCHIVED More Sensitive?
Newtoitall replied to Karen Bain StMary's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I'm afraid it is more then just possible, it seems pretty likely to happen, I went gluten free, started getting better, kinda didn't even notice a change, so I over indulged in the gluten free stuff, and within a few months I started developing intolerance to all the thing's I was over indulging in the months after going gluten free, potato, corn, dairy... -
