    Morning all my Rachelvillians !(well it's morning here at least) Lynne and Susan-Flatulant incontinent dogs Our dog used to let them go,-then look at you as if to say WHAT!!I didn't do it! (then walk out the room) I swear,they were so strong,it was like molecules you could taste-EUCH!! Don't you just love it when you come home...

    Oh my gosh-the Altoids factory is in England!!! Send me in !(as a native)I can infilltrate their secret ingredients to bring back to R/ville. We can then make our own -and become a very rich utopian cult!!

    Yep,that's the one. This is the 'celiac panel'. All these are necessary for the doc to get a clear picture of what's going on.

    Hoping this will turn out to be a minor hiccup. If it's any consolation to you my son had a temp as high as Megans for a week after heart surgery. His core temp was way too high whilst periphally his temp was too low. The docs did a myriad of tests and cultures and never actually found out why-it just seemed to right itself. Still rooting for you...

    Gave up a couple of years ago-but if I'm highly stressed or I've had one too many tipples..... Hubby tried to give up a year after me (oh gosh,the mean,mean moods-he was like a man with pms!) but went back to it after 6 months His stomach problems really kicked in when he was off the weed Curiouser and curiouser???......

    Vinegar has Barley Malt in it. Theoretically distilled vinegar should be ok as the distillation process doesn't allow gluten particles through- but! doesn't mean you won't react for some odd reason! It's the same with vodka,which is made from wheat grain-it is distilled many times so is classed as G.F. Alot of coeliacs can't tolerate it though...

    It is odd isn't it? I think the theory behind this is you were lactose intolerant before you went G.F but as you were eating gluten as well you poor body was reacting to so much stuff it was hard to single out what was what? Lactase enzymes(which help you digest the sugar in milk) are released from the tips of your villi. If you have celiac disease...

    I too had a childhood full of freedom-structured activites?what were they? Unfortunately these are dangerous times we live in-and I just don't think we can allow our kids the same amount of freedom now However,-in R/ville our children will have full freedom!! (kids are allowed right?) Rachel-hope you're having fun with the ice cream maker...

    Wow! She's breathing on her own already,thats fantastic. Don't worry too much about how swollen she is. I remember my son went in looking like a 3month old baby,and come out looking the size of a 5 yr old (well to me anyway!).The diuretics should take care of that. Great progress!

    Top tip Karen! Hubby gets chronic dry scalp-never connected to the whole malnourished thing! Mmm, there may be a junior position for you Karen in R-villes salon Oh,-and for all you mums out there Tea Tree Oil is excellent for keeping the dreaded nits away!!

    Um yes,that's London England!!. Cecile is a lovely name BTW and I can pronounce it! Careful now,there is a Brit amongst you in R-ville. Ha,so my secret's out-I'm not American,and I'm not even a coeliac!! LOL ,how did I end up here?!!
