  2. One of the forst questions my husband's G.I doc asked him was ''Do you take illegal drugs?'' LOL!-He should of answered ''Only when the pain in my gut is bad''!! Only joking of course, but I know he was quite offended by that question!!
  3. Okay -just one question What is this mac and cheese!!?? P.S I'm English!
  4. It's the first time I've seen this chocolate bar in my supermarket (I'm in the UK) Does anyone know if it's Gluten Free? (no obvious dodgy ingredients)
  5. I think of course there has to be an element of 'competetiveness' if you are serious about any sport-but when they are so little it should be fun. My youngest seems to have inheirited his Dad's 'bad loser' attitude!! He just can't cope with not winning. I suppose it's your nature.Whilst my hubby and youngest son are 'highly strung' people,me...
  6. You know, judging from the vast amount of people on this board that have been given cr@p advice from their doctors,my guess is there are alot of diagnosed coeliacs out there that think they can eat the topping off a pizza. The majority of coeliacs who seek out a forum are quite motivated in wanting to stay healthy-and let's remember not everyone has access...
  7. C-I must have been away when the results came back in for your biopsy-sorry you didn't get the screaming positive you were hoping for. I suppose it doesn't really matter as Gluten clearly isn't the food choice for you!!(and your doc supports that) How's the anaemia now you're G.F again? Good to here you've lost 10 pounds already. You'll be back...
  8. Come on wheelie,we wanna see u
  9. You're both bloomin gorgeous!!!
  10. Is there a cure for Lyme Disease??
  11. Patti,-I'm have the opposite fear-feeling like I did before I took antidepressants! I've been taking mine for 6 yrs now (although I've halved the dose)and I probably should try and get off it,but you know,at my worst I just couldn't function because of the paralysing anxiety & insomnia and I can't take that risk of ever being like that again ...
  12. Wonderful news!Onwards and upwards!
  13. Bev,that gave me a good laugh!!I can see it's ahem perhaps not the most ideal of situations! Good luck with the house hunting. Nose piercing eh-(you rebel).I always fancied that, but hubby wasn't keen. For a while I also fancied getting my belly button pierced-but chickened out and now I think I'm just too old to be showing my midriff off!! How can you...

    ARCHIVED Black Toes

May sound silly, but do you keep your toe nails short enough? I find (especially during the 'flip flop' months where I've let my toenails grow a tad longer than norm)that when I go to the gym,my toes start to hurt in a trainer after running. It feels like the big toenails are starting to 'lift'. Another thought is fungal infection which can also...
  15. Is it just me and my cranky computer or has the site 'gone down' a couple of times over the past week? Earlier I tried to get on the site, but I got the dreaded 'cannot find server'- 'cannot display page'
  16. Thanks Patti! MMMmm,very retro-yes I'd wear them with jeans (I live in jeans)and more importantly they are practical Actually, they look like something my son would wear (he's 17yrs) Am I too old for converse sneakers??!!
  17. Hi Katie, sorry you are struggling to find out what's wrong. Have you ever had a repeat endoscopy +biopsy to see if your villi have grown back? IBS and all that bleeding doesn't sound right to me. I'd have to agree with Autumn and say that diverticulitis does sound possible-do you get stomach pain and cramps too? Sorry I can't offer any real...
  18. Converse shoes? Help me out here-I need to know what they are so I can debate some more about shoes.
  19. Ha,you see,I knew you guys would get sucked in to the lure of the crocs Come on Rachel, get some-you know you want to! Now if our president wears them-well,we (Rachelvillians) all have to wear them-like a dress code. I think it was Judy who found them really comfortable too-look at these!! Open Original Shared Link Tavi-good to see our Town...
  20. Interesting. My son has just had a high positive on the celiac disease blood panel. Due to heart problems he was fed formula milk by nasal gastric tube until he was 18 months old. However no gluten was introduced (in the form of solids) until he was 18 months old either. Susan, sorry you feel your recovery is sliding backwards, but in alot...
  21. PAT e I'd have to agree with Mayflowers. My husbands main symptoms in the years leading up to his dx of celiac disease were arthritis. It wasn't until he was bedridden with fatigue and in terrible pain with his joints that the GI symptoms kicked in. Unfortunately-the arthritis has left it's mark-damage in some of his joints,he also has osteoporosis. ...
  22. I don't think they do-that's why I've been using aloe vera on my son. I don't know if that works either, but it's got to be better than keep putting him on antibiotics. Might try the garlic capsules with him.
  23. Totally sympathise with the PMS (and the husband that hasn't done what you asked) You'll just have to ask him again (and then you get accused of nagging!-arghhhh) Seriously though, the older I get,the worse the PMS gets for me(I'm 37) I can be downright evil-like a thing possessed. It's like all these nasty things are coming out of my mouth-and in...
  24. My husband has been on the diet 2 yrs now,and has put 3 stone on (Um thats 43 lbs) But boy did he need it-he was emaciated and looked terrible. In fact,he weighs the most now he has ever done as an adult (not suprising as he's absorbing his food now!)
  25. Actually it has. It's the princely sum of £5.05 an hour!! It can be pretty hit and miss eating out in London. About the only chain I know of that does G.F options on it's menu is Outback Steakhouse Supermarkets are getting much better with all the big chains having a 'free from' section (except Marks and Spencer who's G.F food is distributed throughout ...
