  1. I'd have to agree,I mean Matthew McConechy is ok,but far too clean cut.I like 'em mean and moody, and ......well a bit rough round the edges!!! Favourite film,um...well there's so many Dirty Dancing (bit slushy I know) Cool Hand Luke Saving Private Ryan There are more I'm sure but I like so many movies!
  2. Ha,I do that too.Of course you have to trim them when needs must, else you end up looking like this!! Open Original Shared Link
  3. Love nail polish-especially pinks and purples, irridescant ones are my fave. I tend to have my toe-nails painted more than my fingernails,as I always forget to wear rubber gloves when doing chores like cleaning the oven and it all chips off. I NEVER cut my fingernails(that would be sacrilege!!) When I had my first baby the midwife said ''you'll...
  4. Well said Karen!! Mike,I think you'll find a person dx with celiac disease in their 30's/40's and upwards tend not to recover so well-and are much less likely to ever regain full health compared to the outcome of a child dx'd at the age of 2yrs.
  5. LOl!-Me too (3 yrs short of 40)
  6. Oh my,take that plum out of your mouth immediatley!!!
  7. Oh to be sweet sixteen again!!! Many happy returns!!!
  8. I think you'll find Britain is catching up with the states with it's rates of obesity. The school dinners here are appalling too. When I was at school, you hated school dinners (think meat, lumpy mash and cabbage!),but they were nutritionally sound (no junk) There is a chef in the UK who is taking on the government as to the state of our kids school...
  9. I like it!-It looks more toned down ,more natural.
  10. Yes indeed,-Old head on young shoulders.
  11. Hey Susie-so sorry your all 'topsy turvy' at the moment. I don't proclaim to know much about the peri/ menopause but,if my ever worsening PMS mood swings and a menstrual cycle that is all over the place is anything to go by then I'm not far behind you ..... I'm hoping your doc can verify your hormone levels -and rule out any thyroid issues. ...
  12. What a fantastic toy!!! My middle son would have loved that when he was Tim's age-(he has a fascination with spinning round and round. He never seems to get dizzy either?,he loved spinning tops too) Oh,and that boys hair just gets better and better! He is so handsome!!
  13. So do I !!!!!!! Now there's an accent I can't get my tongue round. It's sort of Irish/Americanish??? Unlike anything I've ever heard!!! Check this out... Funny thing is you put us all in a room together we'd probably be saying ''what-pardon-eh,can you talk slower?!!'' See Ya!!!
  14. Don't be too hard on yourself-it's a constant learning curve!! Live and learn!!
  15. You guys may not be familiar with this UK Frostie ad-but it's very annoying!!! I'm sure you'll agree once you've watched this!!! Open Original Shared Link
  16. I'd have to agree I couldn't find any fault in Renee Zellweger's English accent. I actually think there are similarities in English + Southern accents. Heck, 5 minutes in Lynne's company and I would be drawling like a native!!!!!
  17. Hi Taz (me again!) Anyone can get a pre paid certificate although it costs a bit more than £16 Found this which seems to explain how it all works Open Original Shared Link With regarding to getting prescriptions for G.F food off your G.P,generally speaking they will not prescribe until they've had a letter from your Gastro doc confirming you have ...
  18. Pot Roast sounds delicious Patti!(sorry any veggies).I'm assuming it's what we (Brits) would call a 'roast dinner'. We have 'a roast' every Sunday with veg and roast potatoes.(I don't know if that's a Brit thing to always have that on Sun? ) My favourite is roast beef-yum! BTW Patti,I'm sure your hair looks great up in a clip.Good advise from Carla...

  21. Now that's exactly how I would say it as a Londoner. I pick accents up really quick.I've only got to be in someone's company (who has an'accent') for 5 mins and I struggle not to mimic their accent in my answers! My sister in law lives in Yorkshire England (up North as we call it) and she reckons she can't understand me when I talk fast Dunno...
