  1. I felt the same way when the dr told me it was all normal...I just knew it was what was wrong, and now the dr told me it wasn't. I have been on the diet since Jan 5 and it took a little over a month to see a really big difference. It is so easy to avoid gluten now. I know that it was a problem for me even with the tests say. I was glutened over the weekend...
  2. My sister has been trying to have a baby for over 12 years...It is unexplained infertility, her husband and her have been tested for everything and it is all normal. They have tried invitro three times and none of them took. (She did have good eggs and everything was perfect-then she would either have an early miscarriage or not get preggers) I have...
  3. I just went through this last night...I was glutened on Sunday (my mother in law) and I had such crazy itching on my neck and back, with no rash.
  4. Have you ever been tested for other food allergies? Is it possible you had a little virus, that was causing the stomach issues? I have an allergy to peanuts, soy, eggs, and mayo... My peanut allergy caused me to react to everything I ate at the time... Do you eat a certain food over and over--other then the gluten-free bread?
  5. When ever I can't decide what I want to eat, I always fall back on an Udi's multi grain gluten-free bagel with blueberry cream cheese...Then I am happy again!!
  6. I use Clairol natural instints...I have never looked at the ingredients, but I have never had a problem with it!
  7. I am not much help, I just wanted you to know I understand the frustration. I have only been gluten free for 2 months, and I am feeling much better...However, I have the exhaustion and insomnia as well. I have been having many other symptoms (can't catch my breath..etc ) I have been to dr after dr and they now have me on anxiety medicine and told me to...
  8. I used to be on WIC in Wisconsin. I could purchase whole grain brown rice with my checks. I could also substitute baby formula (for soy) with a doctors note. I am not sure about milk, but they are usually very helpful and I know that other substitutions available--I am allergic to peanut butter but I could get dry beans. They are different in every state...
  9. I was on allergy shots for 2.5 years. I actually took my last one on January 16 2011. I decided to stop mine because I haven't been able to figure out somethings going on with me. I keep getting new allergies, had alot of weight gain--about 30 pds in a matter of months) I think it was overloading my system with everything I am allergic to. My local reaction...
  10. Thanks, I know I should get it checked. But doctors think I am crazy at this point so I think I will hold off. They just put me on anxiety medicine-they think I am over stressed and my symptoms aren't "real"
  11. I don't know if I am hypoglycemic or not, however, if I don't eat the right foods I get super shaky and sick. My morning are the worst-I actually eat more then half of my calories for the whole day in the morning. I usually eat left over supper for breakfast, or I have udis toast with a can of white meat chicken and cheese. Then about 30 minutes later...
  12. I have noticed since I can now longer eat gluten, I have been eating alot of popcorn. It is popweaver butter-microwave, which is gluten free. I seem to be replacing a bag with lunch everyday. I know it's not healthy-but I am addicted. My hands actually tremble until I eat it. I think I am truly addicted-like a popcornholic... Should I go cold turkey-...
  13. I have KP...I started noticing it in August and it has gotten so bad this winter. I went gluten free about 2 months ago and i still have it, but I am hoping with alittle more time it will get better. My tests were neg for celiac, but I am allergic to wheat-so I decided to go gluten free... It sounds like your son definitely might be affected by gluten...
  14. I have gained about 30 pds from my gluten intolerance. I have been gluten free for almost 2 months and definitely feeling better, but still have issues. I look puffy still and am still having oil in my stool (sometimes)... I am thinking I have a slight corn allergy that is adding to my problems. I am going to stop eating most corn (just so hard for me...
  15. For the last few days I can't seem to get a deep breath unless I yawn...It is so exhausting! Has anyone else had problems like this? Mine seems to come and go every month. I don't know if maybe its hormonal-anxiety-or food. I have been gluten free for about 2 months...I am out of breath just coming up steps and even sitting. I sleep ok so maybe it is...
  16. I can relate to getting frustrated...I think it sounds like a food allergy/sensativity. I would ask to have a cbc(complete blood count)done. I would get sleepy after eating and my eosiniphill count would be really high (which in my case-eventually-showed as a peanut allergy. I was reacting to everything (not just peanuts) I was also diagnosed at the time...
  17. I have been gluten free for about six weeks now and I am doing better. My dr never checked my vitamin levels because my blood test was negative for celiac. It was positive for wheat allergy and I decided I was ncgi, so I went off all gluten completely. I am still having alot of symptoms of vit b12 deficiancy. Numbness in hands and feet, dry-itchy...
  18. I have had this as well. Mine had been on and off for years, but did get really bad in the last six months.(sometimes that's all that came out-TMI) I have only been gluten free for about 6 weeks-but I haven't had it since...So in my case I am sure it was from gluten!
  19. I have been breaking out in hives for a while. I have had many other digestive issues and so on. My celiac panel was negative, but I was positive for a wheat allergy. My dr also suggested that breaking out with hives could be from high antibodies to your thyroid. Well mine was positive for high antibodies (different test than just thyroid)I am not taking...
  20. I have a family that can be a little unsuportive... I don't think my husband thinks it's funny, but he doesn't take it all that seriously... My mom and sisters think I make it a big deal (which of course it is)... My tests were negative, so I guess I don't have it on paper. I know that my husband (married 12 yrs) cares about my health, but thinks that...
  21. I know exactly what you mean about the feeling of a baby kicking...I had it! Sometimes when I would try to do situps I would have almost like a giant bubble on my side, I would have to stretch really fast to get it to go away (hard to explain) I have only been gluten free for a little over a month, but I am already feeling so much better... I was tested...
  22. I have had it all! Celiac blood test came back neg, but positive for wheat allergy. I have been gluten free for about five weeks. I am getting better but sometimes I still get stool issues. I still have fat in my stool sometimes (oil on the water) and some pretty funky colors! I know that I am getting better, I just wish it would happen overnight...
  23. Could it be a new allergy? I actually got a different allergy after each of my five children. Peanuts, hazlenut, spinach, wheat, dairy, eggs, grapes and raisins, and soy... I always new it was a new allergy because I would get very tired after eating (anything) and I would go get a cbc done, my eosiniphil count was always extremely high and then they would...
  24. I am just so excited because I can't remember the last time I have had fingernails... They are strong and not even peeling...Just thought I would share---It's sad that this is exciting--but I get to go buy nail polish!!!
  25. I agree I definitely needed to see the bright side of things today!!! I am grateful I have 5 healthy, wonderful children! I am grateful my 10 yr old son just got a terrific kid award at school today (I just got the call) I am grateful I have a supportive husband and a great support system with my big family! I am grateful for my 5 dogs!!! I...
