  4. man, they love those boiled giblets..... my kitties always worshipped me when I did that for them. well, for a few seconds anyway. yes, bake that chicken. easy peasy. Edited: you posted as I did, Ruth...Okay, saw you had baked it....do not worry about the "texture"....he will eat it. They don't eat much at one time.
  5. so funny....my Dad's rule was "whomever cooks does not clean" LOL He was often the first parent home from work, so he started dinner. We all helped, set the table, cut the veggies, etc. We kids usually cleared, put away the "encores" lol and washed and put away the dishes. No machine dishwasher back then. We all had chores. And my SIL is grateful to have...
  6. Adalaide: Maybe I'm doing it wrong. I don't quite know what to say..... We just do it together.
  7. Hi Zebra! 9. I adapted it from Stephanie O'Dea's--changed a few of the amounts to make more.. 4 cups of beef broth ( I use the 32 oz. carton of Kitchen Basics) 4 tablespoons butter 3 large yellow onions, peeled and sliced in rings 1/2 tablespoon white granulated sugar 1/4 cup sherry 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt --heat your crockpot to high and plop your butter...
  10. Oh, honey...if you were my neighbor, I'd just eat your doughnuts.
  11. Thank you Lisa sweets!! Those are the ones i was talking about! I have sherried onion soup in the KFG and my house smells FAB!!!
  12. Damn you, easy to click a mazon prime! I don't need a donut pan!! Ski, do you remember where the choc donut recipe Moosie Jamie posted? Maybe Ruth would like that one too. yo....James...are you there??? Karen, you call her...when you yell for me, I always hear you. lmao
  13. I never ate doughnuts much either. In fact, the first doughnut I had that I can recall was a G F one at my friend's G F bakery. It was pretty amazing to eat one warm and still dripping with glaze I think your doughnut recipe looks amazing. I think the pics even made me drool a bit.
  14. FANTASTIC!! Maybe I will check them out. Thanks, Ruth.
  15. They sound delicious to me, Ruth. . I don't believe I have ever had a baked donut, but I try anything once! ("the things I like, I try em twice" ) <<quick Ski, what song is that from??? tick tock I don't need to have fried things, so if there's a way to eat something tasty without deep frying it, I'm all for it!
  16. Whaaa? I'm with you.... who is touting this no marbled fat in meat myth? where? where? Nonsense, I say....you need some fat for flavor! Marbled meat = good quality. “No human studies have ever shown that supplementing the diet with beef increases LDL cholesterol. However, studies have shown that oleic acid supplements can decrease LDL.” When doc...
  17. I only thought intestine problems were for people suffering from celiac disease and i never had any symptoms for stomach problems. But you have celiac disease, hon. Didn't your doctor tell you that? If not, that's a shame because that is what you have. You should have gone G F immediately. And your doctor should be checking the antibodies. This...
  18. Hi honey!! That sounds like YUM!!! xx So happy you're happy!
  19. Ok hon. It's your call, of course. Glad you feel better.

(and I will have...
  21. My easy nachos (I like to use up whatever is in the fridge sometimes) I make my own salsa and guacamole, but sometimes, I am lazy and use ready made stuff. heat up oven to 350 I use the santitas white corn chips (only $2.00 a bag and sturdy!) layer them with: a meat protein like: shred some leftover chicken (if you make a chicken breast for...
  22. Bobby You really haven't been diagnosed with anything yet. There is a major clinical difference between celiac disease and gluten sensitivity. If you want to be sure about what you are dealing with, please see a GI doctor and have proper testing done. Too many nutritionists, chiropractors, "applied kinesiologists" and acupuncturists are "diagnosing...
  23. Sorry,I can only report that I love all kinds of coffee and happily, coffee loves me. I drink mine with cream and a teeny bit of sugar. Nothing flavored. No "coffee house jazzy stuff like half-caf mocha soy latte stevia" thingers. But I switched to decaf. (because too much caffeine makes my heart pound a little too fast...)
  24. Seriously? this is one of the most ridiculous articles I have ever seen posted here on c.com. Of course unDXEd patients report depression...why? because multiple vitamin and nutritional deficiencies and anemia will cause it.... but the headline--AS USUAL--is clearly inflammatory and misleading. I wonder... why can't you stop the flow of these...
