  1. Off topic a little~ One of my manly man cousins coined a new phrase for perfume. He calls it "stink pretty" LMAO!!!! I love it!!!!!!!
  2. I found a bar that fits all your needs. You can only get them online though. I've eaten one whole box and 2 more boxes are going to be delivered today. My favorite one is peanut butter supreme. My first box was a sample pack. I like the peanut butter ones the most, so the 2 incoming boxes are both PB. The brownie one is super popular too, but I'm on...
  3. How's it going? Is is working for you? It's still working for me! I saw my doc the other day and gave her several hugs! She was so excited about the Zantac working. I think I made her day when I told her "thank you for giving me my life back"
  4. Hee Hee Hee...."her" name is Dr. Salinas, so I just simply can't squeeze her butt! But, she's getting a hug for sure!!! Have you tested Zantac in the grocery store yet? Today, I drove home with a 50 pound bag of bunny chow in my vehicle, made with wheat meddlings. I kept the windows up and did not get sick, not even a hint of a stuffy...
  5. OMGosh!!!!!!!!!! I actually found a huge report about eosinophilic enteropathy and the use of Zantac for the condition. This was after Zantac was prescribed for me and I started researching it. Google "eosinophilic enteropathy zantac" You will find that it is used for your sons condition all over the internet! I hear ya on the fear of anaphylaxic...
  6. How interesting......I did not know there was a correlation between gallbladder dysfunction and PPI's. 6 months into Nexium and I had to have my gallbladder out, that was in April of last year. The worse thing about it is it never helped my acidy tummy much, now that I am on Zantac as an H2 blocker, I've noticed that my stomach acid is much better, despite...
  7. Let me know how your appt goes. I hope well!
  8. UGH..perfume..it should be outlawed!!! Let me know how your appt. goes.
  9. OMG......I feel for ya!!!! Your in-laws are a bunch of morans with no empathy. Obviously your husband must take after his sweet mama. At least you have her on that side of the family, the matriarch. My mother in law recently said to me, and I quote "Maybe you will resolve these allergy issues soon and be able to eat wheat again and your kids won...
  10. I had never heard of different types of histamines either. It was a real eye opener. It sure sounds like you would benefit from a little Zantac. Wouldn't hurt to give it a try. The dose my doc prescribed was 150 mg, twice daily. It lasts 12 hours, that's why the dose is twice daily.
  11. Since writing this post, I have some more results to share. I've learned they do help with my fragrance allergies, and also help with gluten CC. I accidently ingested wheat for around 10 days recently when I bought my usual shampoo and found that the formula was changed and wheat was added to the ingredients list. I was feeling crummy the whole time...
  12. I've been thinking a lot about this and can see that it will be hard. Thanks for the tips, I needed them.
  13. You have such a great attitude. I hope everything works out really well for you. I hope you don't mind me asking for details. But I am curious about your surgery. Will they be removing most of your stomach and leaving a small amount for food intake, kind of like a Vertical sleeve Gatrectomy or will you have to have it all removed and be basically...
  14. I am allergic to sodium laurel sulfate as well. I had a lot of the same symptoms as you did. I figured out it was SLS around 7 years ago and have been using Biotene toothpaste ever since, and have been symptom free since. It did take a couple of weeks for the rash around my mouth to completely heal and go away though. You can buy this toothpaste at Target...
  15. Happy Birthday!!! Cheers, IH

  16. Alba has added Hydrolyzed wheat protein to their shampoo/cream rinse. My daughter pointed it out just a few hours ago. I bought this a week ago and have been sick all week, and also have sores that have formed on my head. Now I know why....GGGGRRRR. I went to the Alba website and their shampoos/cream rinses do not have wheat in the ingredients list...
  17. The formula has been changed since I wrote this. Alba is now putting hydrolyzed wheat protein into their shampoo.....GGGGRRRRR...
  18. I had a fabulous day. I made a turkey stuffed with cornbread stuffing, it had cherries, apples, raisins, cranberries, onions, celery, sausage and walnuts in it. The turkey was so tender and juicy, even the breast meat was unbelievable. My In-Laws gorged and stuffed themselves. My Father in law ate 5 plates of food. I got big hugs from everyone for the...
  19. Great answer! Thank you. I do not know why I could not stand up for myself on this day. I was outnumbered with strong willed know it alls, maybe that's why.
  20. That is interesting to know. I wish U.S. Campbells would do more gluten-free soups.
  21. I also live in a destination/touristy area and have been suffering with countless guests in the winter since we moved here a few years ago. It's been very difficult. My husband and I decided today that guests will now have a list of rules they must follow, or they stay at a hotel. They must not bring wheat into the house, must not wear anything with fragrance...
  22. You have no idea how much better you made me feel. Thank you. I am wearing a mask, and no longer hiding in my room. The clothes are still washing. The Inlaws are not treating me like I am crazy, in fact they said sorry for bringing the perfumey clothes into our house when they knew I had a perfume allergy. They were hoping they would fly under the radar...
  23. Thanks everyone. I'm at the end of my tether right now. I also have a fragrance allergy and have been reacting for 4 days to the smell of my in-laws laundry detergent and fabric softener....so perfumey!! Finally, today, I actually had to use an inhaler, and am hiding in my bedroom. My husband has them all rewashing their clothes in my fragrance free...
