  1. That would be fine and dandy in a perfect world where there is a place to wash hands around every corner, but it doesn't really work that way in the real world. So, instead of being a girl in a plastic bubble, I chose to be out and about and very concious of my surroundings and potential wheat exposures. I to get a rash (hives) from contact with wheat/gluten...
  2. I use Pure and gentle baby wipes. They are fragrance and alcohol free. However, I didn’t realize until today that they have vitamin E (tocopherols) in them, which could be derived from wheat germ oil. It does not say the source. I am a super sensitive and never get sick from those wipes. Airborne wheat is the worst for me to. I get very sick with s...
  3. I know EXACTLY what you mean! I do not think you are paranoid at all. I won't even shake hands with people at church because they have a table load of pastries and donuts every Sunday morning and everyone is pigging out on them. They touch the door knobs, the coffee creamer and sugars, they walk into the service with the donuts, and then when the pastor...

  5. OY....my kids came home yesterday with cookie selling pamphlets. The reps that tutored them and prepared them for selling did a good job. They knew exactly how to conduct a hard high pressure sell! I'm so annoyed and do not want them to hit people up for buying these crappy overpriced cookie dough
  6. I use Alba hawaiian hair wash, it's organic. I love it!
  7. Funny, I've had no issues with Lays Potato chips.....yet! But I have tested and restested Hershey's so many times now that I am sure they are a problem. I hope Lay's never lets me down...wishful thinking...
  8. I totally agree with you. Hershey's went down the toilet. All they have is the good name and they're ruining that. I also suspect that it is barley, which does not have to be declared. Barley is used in many candies to add flavor, so those natural flavorings could very well be barley.
  9. UPDATE~I have been glutened by Hershey's chocolate bars now as well, multiple times. No more Hershey's for me. I have no problem with M&M's and M&M's with peanuts made by Mars. I'll stick to them.
  10. I have gotten sick multiple times on both Hershey's chocolate bars and Hershey's drops. I've finally come to the conclusion that they are not safe. I never eat them any more, to many bad experiences. I have no problem with M&M's and M&M's with peanuts, both made by Mars. I don't think that it's a wheat issue though because if it were wheat I would...
  11. I'm your friend. I remember some long emails that went back and forth between us when I was a newbie. You helped me so much. You are an amazing and intelligent women. Thank you for helping me back then, I'm here for you. You know, my sis remembers you from several years ago. You helped her as a newbie as well. (((((((hugs)))). You are important and...
  12. Thanks for your note about airborne wheat, Trish! It helps to have others that can relate to our experiences. Airborne wheat is absolutely horrid!! The grocery store closest to my parents house makes my DD break out in hives almost immediately, so we no longer set foot in there. It seems crazy sometimes how pervasive wheat is!

  13. Curry Hamburger cabbage I sauteed a bag of shredded cabbage meant for coleslaw and tossed it with ground beef. I used: Cabbage beef curry coconut milk garlic onion ginger sea salt sugar pepper This turned out really fabulous!!!
  14. (((((hugs))))) I am so sorry. You have some tough years ahead of you, no doubt about it. I'm on one year and still struggle, and I am an adult. I cannot imagine how challenging it would be for kids, and their Mommy. I've read a lot of posts concerning kids and birthday parties, teachers, school lunches etc. It sure looks tough. I can tell you really...
  15. The eyebrow thing is also a sign of hypothyroidism. My husband is hypothyroid and has this issue. Here is a link to auto-immune symptom checker. The eyebrow thing is listed under "hair" Open Original Shared Link
  16. Skylark, thanks for posting that link to See's allergen info. I was on their website the other day and could not find it anywhere!!!
  17. My husband dug the Hershey drops bags out of the trash for me. I read the ingredients and there is no indication of gluten what-so-ever. The Hershey company called me this morning and assured me that there is no gluten and they use dedicated lines for processing, if they didn't, the bag would indicate that they use shared lines with gluten. Still,...
  18. I looked up the March post concerning the Hershey's drops and found that the post was actually about Hershey's cookies and cream drops. I find nothing about the plain drops......but, my body does not lie, I will never eat another one again. I emailed The Hershey Company about this, when I get a response, I'll post it. Has anyone else eaten them...
  19. I am in the United States. OMGosh, there IS wheat in the ingredients? I did not see wheat or any other gluten name. What did I miss? I already threw the bag out, so I can't look at the ingredients list unless I go dumpster diving. I'm checking for the ingredients online, but so far no luck. No wonder I was glutened! I knew I wasn't crazy! I induced...
  20. I trust Hershey's chocolate and eat a lot of their chocolate bars. However, I am on my second glutening (2 different bags) from Hershey's chocolate drops. I can't find anything evil in the ingredients, but I am glutened, my body does not lie about these things. Each time I got glutened, It happened right as I was eating it followed by the usual 3 days...
  21. Wow...just Wow...you actually know a person who declared themselves "cured" when they wanted to be a glutenoid again. That chills me to the bone. I think it's coming, We're going to have masses of former trendy fakers of the gluten allergy, intolerance, and sensitive world declare themselves "cured"
  22. Homemade chicken nuggets in the Cool Daddy deep fat fryer using olive oil. I bread the chicken breast pieces in potato starch only, nothing else and it sticks to the chicken, tastes great. I make a dip using sour cream, onion, chives and garlic. YUM. I'm also making homemade gluten-free granol bars. I'll be snacking on them while making them, I'm sure...
  23. My cats eat Solid Gold Indigo Moon. It's gluten-free. I wonder if the comapny can send you a sample before buying it so you can test it on your kitty's tender tummy? This site shows the ingredient breakdown. They sell it at Petco. Open Original Shared Link
  24. Thank you!!!
  25. Awesome. I'm glad they turned out good. Thank you for the report. I have not made them yet, but plan on it. I found them at the base commissary in San Antonio, Texas.
