    Ha Ha Ha....isn't it funny how wheat use to be considered healthy by us? I remember feeling sooooo lousy and thinking I needed to eat healthier to feel better. So I would eat granola with a huge amount of wheat germ poured on top of it.....I did not realize then that I was making myself sicker!!

The only reason I knew what it was before diagnoses is because I use to low carb, and would buy "vital wheat gluten" to mix with things like almond flour to make low carb cookies and such.     So true. I take every opportunity to educate people on the use of an Epi-Pen. I think that maybe somewhere, someday down the line, they might come across a person who is having a reaction, and will remember what I taught them and act accordingly. Maybe it will save a life someday....Awareness and education are crucial.

    I was worried about pumpkin patches and hay rides this year. I avoided both, and was sad about it. My husband did both activities with the kids, while I stayed away from them. I missed out. But what can I do, it is what it is...Our health comes first, but it really is the pits, isn't it?

    I certainly know how you feel. I went through several bouts of depression and anger over the past year and a half. After the meltdowns and crying came anger.     I have a severe wheat allergy as well. I wear an Italian charm bracelet that simply says 'EPI-Pen" on one wrist. I purchased it on Ebay. My other bracelet is a web bracelet with a dog tag on it.
