  1. Beef noodle soup. Its almost done
  2. To my understanding its this: Open Original Shared Link I could be wrong, however, it matches what i've heard.
  3. Well i went to my appointment, its either a virus or a mild case of the flu, despite my shot. I had a fever and was told not to go to class. I'ma gonna go back to bed now i think.
  4. I wouldn't chance it. All it takes is some flying grease or what have you and you got yourself a problem
  5. Leaky gut? That might be causing the stomach issues.
  6. In the U.S., natural flavors do not normally contain gluten. Trident states on their website that they do not have gluten.
  7. Not that i'm aware of. My kitchen is my gluten-free zone and i don't eat outside of it. I should also mention i'm generally around a lot of people during the week due to classes
  8. So i woke up this morning and went about my morning routine. I did a few things before i had breakfast, just to get them out of the way. Then i made my way into the kitchen when it started. I got a full frontal (from my arm pits down to the lower part of my gut) cramps. Now, i need to mention that my cycle started yesterday, but this is far beyond what...
  9. Oh i know the feeling, trust me.
  10. Exactly. I think part of the reason we say "gluten-like" is because we really don't have much to compare it to.
  11. Poor kid Just some thoughts: On the UTI thing, if you live in a humid climite, i've heard that you can get them more than in a dry one. Not sure if this holds any truth, however. Is she by chance sensative to latex? People with major allergic reactions to it have to avoid soy and bannanas (along with a few other things i cannot list off of...
  12. Nexium is not meant to be a long term solution. It can do more harm then good. Doesn't surprise me that those foods would set ya off. Those are ones that are generally connected to it. Have you tried removing all reflux meds? I ask because when i finally went "cold turky" on them (do not suggest this) that it finally started to die down for me (over...
  13. As a college student, there is nothing worse than getting really sick in the middle of a busy semester and then having to adjust to a new diet. If she were to get it done, and to find out she may indeed have celiac, she then has the time to be able to get accomodations (if she is in the dorms) for it. That is if she is going to school in the U.S. i'm not...
  14. I've also read that, because of that, they aren't exactly sure if its more spacific than the IGA TTG tests. It could be because of the newness as well. From the chicago site: "There is also a newer version of the old screening test that checked the levels of anti-gliadin antibodies, called DPG (for deamidated gliadin peptides). While evidence shows...
  15. I like the ancient quinoa pasta Open Original Shared Link Funny thing about pasta is that one person might like it, while another won't. This one, i've found, tastes texture wise, the closest i've come so far to what wheat pasta did.
  16. Nothin' like getting up at 6am for class
  17. Yes, she should. If the TTG IGA comes back positive, more testing should be done. As of right now, its better to get it done, then it is to wait.
  18. The uni of Chicago argues with that. They say its one of the best ways to test for it. "For most people, the serum anti-tissue transglutaminase (tTG-IgA) is the best antibody blood test for screening for celiac disease; however, it is important to also get a total serum IgA. Having this total serum test will help bolster the reliability of the tTG test...
  19. I don't. You removed the buzz from your system (caffine), there is a big factor right there. I too get somewhat tired after eating carbs.
  20. I'm up to walking about... what... 6-8 miles a week (monday through thursday, friday - sunday is dependent on what i'm doing or how i feel). I can't believe i can walk this much Basically, i just walk to the main area of my school and back. Its sort of a hilly climb so thats a plus.
  21. I used to have long hair, then i cut it to where its just about to the nape of my neck (length wise). I've gotten to like very much because its so much easier to take care of and its healthier too. When it was long, it looked so thin
  22. I've seen them in the health food stores, those honey stick things? I'm not sure if they're gluten free or not (they may be). Kinda looks like this: Open Original Shared Link Just as an example. I've always thought when i saw them on display (my local health food store has these, or similar to them), that they might be something neat to give. Its basically...
  23. Rice? I'm not sure if that would count as high carb though, but it is a starch and can be fitted into a diet easily.
  24. Its a type of seaweed i believe. Its also part of the reason why i don't do icecream anymore. I have yet to figure out if it was the chocolate or that that got me (major desert like cotton mouth and throat for about 4 hours, nothing i did stopped it). I should note that i've had whipping cream with it in it, and didn't react then... but still
  25. I layed out some ground beef... so i have no idea what i will do with it. I'll think of something.
