  1. Its not as bad as it sounds. Really. I'm getting close to two years in, and it has become normal for me. First off, gluten free foods are expensive. No doubt. It is best to do a whole foods diet (nothing processed!) for the first few months. But, if you just have to have something, a substitute can be found in the gluten free goodies. I don't bake a...
  2. Indeed! I do not do much shopping in the 'middle' isles. I may go down them to find a spacific thing (peanut butter i'ma lookin' at you), but elsewise i steer clear. For example, the one store i normally go to has a gluten free section, but they also put 'organic' things at the bottom row....
  3. Regarding the worchestershire sauce, I believe the lee and peppers brand is gluten free.
  4. I've seen them in walmart before, but again they were with the other cereals. Also, this was one of those really big walmarts (the biger supers) too.
  5. Just like any other addictive substance, gluten is just as addicting. It took me a good month and then some to get over that.
  6. I'm greatful they have a section. Most stores mix products, its just a fact of life. I'm just greatful they have them.
  7. Sounds to me like you had a possible reaction to the medication on top of a glutening. You can take something one day and be utterly fine with it and the next time you take it, it'll bite ya (i speak from experience). I mention this because its a bit too long of the time between the possible glutening and the time you were in the E.R. Generally, if ya have...
  8. Some of those sound like classic UTI infections (burning, dark coloring, frequency). I can't remember how many doctors it took for them to figure out my gallbladder problem. Just keep with it, you'll find one that can help ya, i'm sure.
  9. Sweet potatos aren't in the catagory, thankfully. I had to give up tomatos because i'm allergic to them and anything spicy due to GERD. Its hard sometimes (i soooo miss tomato sauce), but not to bad. I'm nightshade light due to my allergy and generally only eat potatos on occasion. Rice flour I have found is quite a good substitute. Corn tortillas...
  10. I tossed some cut up apples into my coffee cake. A much needed improvement was made.
  11. Why would sour cream have it? It would be listed if it does. The only dairy i know of that isn't is cheese made with beer. Basics should be fine.
  12. Normally they inject a salt solution to keep the meat looking fresh no gluten in it, but my stomach doesn't like it.
  13. If it has wheat in it, it must be listed. It should say if it includes it. Just like any other meat. Obviously, breaded items are out. I believe whole foods has organic salmon if that is of any help.
  14. Indeed. The body produces, to my understanding, a certain amount of antibodies and whatnot (believe it or not, this also includes cancer cells in their 'dorment' form or so i've heard). It is when you start producing more than normal (or less for that matter) that it becomes concerning
  15. 1-19 is normal for someone (if i've got the scale right), 20-30 is considered a low positive, and anything above 31 a high positive. It is normal for a body to produce a low amount of antibodies to my understanding.
  16. Never did here.
  17. There is no cure all outside of drinking lots and lots of water and bedrest.
  18. i'm on a sort of rotation diet. I cannot do, for example, sweet potatos more than two times a week without issues. Likewise with pasta (corn and quinoa), though i've fine daily for corn. Your body needs to have some sort balance and rotation. To much of anything is bad.
  19. It is the thought that counts. I'd too regift them. When i was younger, for my teacher, i would get a nice planter or a plant for them. A lot of my classmates would go the coffee mug/candy route, but they really liked this one. I don't normally do food. I do things that i know they'll use, such as a new set of nice pens that they normally wouldn't get...
  20. I'm in such a good mood. My iga ttg came back with a 6. 1-19 is normal. It was at a 37 (high positive). I've been doing something right Also my gladien iga or igg (can't remember) dropped 4 points (from 8 to 4 i believe). Within normal, but a lower normal.
  21. Guys! My IGA TTG came back! I'm back to normal! 6 Went down from 37
  22. 10 hours? holy.... That had to be interesting... Mine was a 6 hour class per week (met twice a week).
  23. In terms of genetics, it really doesn't matter as long as you have the genes you have the chance of getting it. Granted i've heard that those with two copies of a gene have more severe reactions. Low IGA can throw off the testing. At this point in time, in terms of what you probably have with gluten, is either Celiac or NCGI. Both are similar to one...
  24. technically the blood tests were named celiac reflux panel... so i hope thats right....
  25. technically it is already tommorow in many countries.
