  1. Go to an allergist and get a scratch test done. That is the best way to start. The only time it is unconfertable is when you have a positive reaction to something (ie: a hive). It is possible to have both by the way.
  2. -snort- College = no sleep... fact.... One more final today and to turn in the results of an experiment i participated in. Then i'm coming back and sleeping. Kinda worried about this one. No clue what'll be on it....
  3. Yep, same thing goes for the silent celiacs (aka those who get no symptoms whatsoever).
  4. no sleep (3 hours maybe?) and i made myself get up an hour earlier.... and its -8 outside right now with the wind... which means my apartment was cold when i got up.... ugh...
  5. everyone is different there is no clearcut answer.
  6. Can you give us the range of the tests? What is considered normal, and whatnot? All labs are a bit different.
  7. Guess who's getting no sleep tonight? i have to finish up a paper, prepare for an inclass essay tommorow at 8am, and study for a history final that i have no real clue what'll be on.... ugh...
  8. I had one made with lavender once, i think it was blended with rice...
  9. mmm... what about making cookie samwiches? Make a sugar cookie recipie (which you can find on here by searching), cut the dough to size, then put some frosting or whathaveyou inbetween the layers. For added fun, perhaps add some colored sugar or something dusted on top of them. Random thought, not sure if it would work, but something like that might work...
  10. -snort- no need to worry about that.
  11. I might do a pasta with butter sauce...
  12. Very possible for it to act up with no fever, just like its possible for it to be gradual.
  13. Oh dear, low right is an interesting area. It could be your appindix thats acting up, or it could be the gallbladder (though it sits up higher). I would go in just for peace of mind if nothing else. If it was a glutening, i'd think it would have started to ebb away by now.
  14. No tub for me, just a shower stall... But i've already stood in it once today. Sleep? i'll try.. Of course. I'm going to keep it simple this week. Luckily i don't have too much homework to do, just type up a paper (a short one less then 3 pages no less) that i'll hit tommorow. I'll also have to prepare for an inclass essay that is the final...
  15. So, my stomach is still being annoyed, i'm trying to figure out what set it off... was it: A. stress (mind you its finals week) B. a virus (i'm around many people Monday-Thursday) C. the going bad milk (one day past its date, kinda tasted off but i played it up to my imagination) D. CC'd at the memorial on thursday (handshakes with many gluten eaters...
  16. Outside of removing it from your diet for a while and readding? Not that i'm aware of dear That stinks that you can't do that anymore. Is it possible that its something in the cheese packet? I don't do packets i do about 8 (or so) slices of american cheese with milk, cornstarch, and a touch of butter and olive oil.
  17. If you are in the U.S., school accomodations. Under the ADA (americans with disabilities act), celiac is covered and the school would have to accomodate. For example, if she were to have a gluten incident and be forced to stay home for a week, they would have to accomodate that. Likewise with anything gluteny in the classroom or whatnot.
  18. ^ i went through that pain in the chest. I still have mine despite loosing weight (went from near 190 lbs to about 130). One of the biggest helpers is to eat at certain times throughout the day, eat smaller meals more frequently, and to avoid foods that set ya off.
  19. You shouldn't go off of gluten until all testing is done. Generally, if someones bloodtest comes back positive, then generally an endoscopy for a biopsy comes next. Another thought is that stress can be a royal you know what when it comes to making your body feel like crud. Has it always been bad before the stress? I understand the whole finals thing ...
  20. Guys... my stomach has declared war..... I wanna cry..... I hate it when it does this.....
  21. Shhhhh.... i eat skippy natural peanutbutter all the time and it doesn't cause my GERD to rear its head But don't tell it that. Never once has it bothered me. There are lots of things you can eat, but what i found helps the most is if i eat something starchy with each meal. I also only drink water (and milk on occasion). . No spicy, no fatty, no...
  22. If i remember right, thats not enough. Cat eats the food, cat licks itself, you pet the cat, so on and so forth.
  23. Haven't checked yet.... but we're supposed to get some.
