  1. Just an update: I rather like the crust. I'm pretty sure i may have overcooked it, but it was good none the less. So far (about an hour and a half after i ate it) i've had no issues. Hopefully, it will work out
  2. No, that is not how it works. The "gluten" molecule is too big to be absorbed. The reason people use gluten free items is because of the chance of ingestion, not because of skin contact.
  3. So i decided to try the philsberry pizza crust for lunch. Its in the oven at the moment. It was about three days before its best buy date and didn't smell at all, so i figured it was fine. I'll write up something about it after i eat it.
  4. Two things: What are you doing for exercise? Do you have any intolerences?
  5. I've noticed with the blue version that it is more harsh than any of the others. I had a large patch of skin that was cracked and irritated and it took some time to clear up.
  6. Due to my GERD, I cannot handle spicy food. Acid reflux, stomach acheing, and the like are my symptoms.
  7. Depends. If they are all scratched up non stick pans, I wouldn't.
  8. Gluten withdrawl. It isn't fun at all.
  9. It depends on the doctor. Most damage is microscopic. So unless the damage is really bad, visible damage probably won't be seen.
  10. I agree with the others. Gluten cannot be absorbed through the skin.
  11. You cannot cheat. That is not an option. If you keep cheating, not only will you not get better, you will also increase your risk of other AI diseases and cancer. Gluten withdrawl is not fun. As for meals, you could make big batches of them on the weekends and freeze them and bring them in. You could use a crock pot and make something that way. Some...
  12. Agreed Are you traveling by car? If so, you could pack a cooler with stuff he could have.
  13. Wasn't very hungery so i had rice and steamed broccoli.
  14. I don't think i've ever had gelato...
  15. Do you have a good recipie for it? I haven't had a good beef and broccoli dish since before going gluten free.
  16. This is an older thread. Wheat has to be labled in the US. No exceptions. vegetable protien and soy is fine.
  17. No, no, yes it does matter if the kids stick their hands in the popcorn.
  18. Eeek your guys recipies are far more complicated than mine. Generally for beef soup i take: 1 lb of beef roast, cut into bite size pieces a tbsp or so of olive oil salt and peper 6 or so cups of water veggies (anything from broccoli to mushrooms, whatever is on hand) half a box of ancient harvest elbow macaroni optional: a couple of tbsps...
  19. I'm the opposite. I do not like beans I could do without. Those are some scary symptoms though. Now peanut butter on the other hand... I could not do without. Probably some rice, veggie, and maybe some chicken for dinner.
  20. Just say "no thank you" no explinations are really needed. If you can, make your kitchen gluten free. If you cannot, have an area where none is allowed. As long as you wipe everything down really good it should be okay. You should have your own shelf. Yes, check your lip balm. I generally research anything before i buy it. Some chocolates...
  21. just to point out, celiac is not an intolerence. It is an autoimmune reaction. While an intolerence is similar, it is not the same.
  22. I use real butter. Yep, and thats what confuses me. Edit: I went poking around the mayo clinic website and found this: Open Original Shared Link I should also note that fats in general don't really agree with me. While i can eat a little fat on say beef or chicken, pork is a no go at all.
  23. I may have figured out what has been causing me to have stomach issues. I am going to say right now i have no issue with milk. None... what so ever. However, butter causes me issues. I'm starting to think that cheese is as well. I believe my butter issues come from the fact that i have no gallbladder and as such cannot digest fats as easily. Could...
