I've had two celiac panels and my igg and iga were showing autoimmune disease. Schmidt's is also an autoimmune Open Original Shared Link Heres the long list including celiac disease Open... -

ARCHIVED I Am New To This... Help
Celiac Ninja replied to Cole Jones's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
There are gluten free vitamins that a new found gluten intolerant person/celiac person should be on from the get go and consistantly. The body will be going through a ton of healing while on a gluten free diet and to aid that healing the gluten free vitamins will help. Never eliminate iodine from your diet, you will die, literally the thyroid needs iodine... -
I've heard that too, hadn't tried it yet, but am getting warts frozen off. It is expensive and haven't been able to get in due to lack of money so the warts are growing again (finished second round of freezing). I will try the duct tape, using a bandaid didn't work but I was hoping the bandaid would do the same thing. It just spread the wards, guess bandaids...

Baby extra gassy, frantic while nursing, breaks latch and wales, red rash in bottom, white sores in mouth. Found some very helpful websites but open to suggestions. We do have a pediatritian but he may be hard to get in to see (very popular). p.s. I seem to remember getting this a couple times as a youngster, it was not fun But he is a champ... -

Celiac Ninja replied to Harry's dad's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I'll keep your little one in my thoughts, is he eating gluten free in the hospital? I'd ask the hosptial chef directly if he is preparing the gluten free foods on a gluten free cutting board, clean kitchen area and oven. I hope they do know what they are doing. I do hope you can get your little one out of the hospital and home where recovery will be easier... -

ARCHIVED Not Sure What Is Going On........
Celiac Ninja replied to rami's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Probably with signs of GI problems he will have reactions to chocolate and bannanas and things like tomatos (acidic/caffinated/heavy starches). Maybe something like raw fruit fresh cut (store packaged stuff has got gluten even on the lable) but fresh cut with agave nectar (usually easier on tummys than chocolate). Or iced tea. Just brain storming Hope... -
ARCHIVED Why Can't My Body Handle Long Runs?
Celiac Ninja replied to Kat Kuz's topic in Sports and Fitness
malabsorption and you may need a ton more magnesium and calcium and vit D than udusl dur to previous glutn damage and malabsorption. I had to increase that for bad episodes just to make through the day (post chrmo/radiation) and during pregnancy (had gluten episoders then too..mild though) but I wasn't athleticaly active. Depends on how much your taking now... -
ARCHIVED Most Evil Wife Ever
Celiac Ninja replied to Adalaide's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I totally understand the tradition for snackies at the movies. I use to, when single, wear baggy pants and sneak a ton in. Now that I'm married and was pregnant, I just whipped out the whole jar of peanut butter and a spoon in the theater and started munching and nobody bothered me lol They'd have to strong arm me to take my peanutbutter away -
For me and what I've looked up it's better to work out, but not a heavy duty work out, more like stretches, walking, light weights. I drink several 32 oz. containers of water while working out, so I'm running to the restroom and getting rid of all the toxins. Lots of water helps me big time. Maybe if you drink your meal after your workout it will feel better...

I've got celiac and am a licensed massage therapist for 6+ years with scoliosis. From your first post I can say muscles are affected by glutn reactins (spasms, cramps, locing up especially after work outs due to the lack of absorption of necessary nutrients, minerals and water absorption). Sometimes the stress (mentral and physical) of having a gluten reaction...

I am the unfortunate owner of a few warts on my finger that have proven extremly stubborn in their demise. They keep spreading instead of dying. So, I decided after trying many little odd techniques and some store bought methods, to take myself down to the dermatologist and see what could be done. Normally I would not have because of; A-no insurance, B-don...

That's good to hear, I'm overdue though but it is my first one. I'm told that it's pretty typical for the first. Although I am trying to naturally induce with several different methods that the midwife has suggested and I've found on a pregnancy website that's pretty legite. I think I just need to practice patients with this one and let the good Lord pop...

ARCHIVED Popcorn, Indiana Kettle Corn
Celiac Ninja replied to pricklypear1971's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
That is good to know, thank you. I had just bought a bag and was looking up the website info on their gluten free assurance quote but I don't think I'll be trying this. I can easily make my own kettle corn and would much rather do the work there than feel the pain now hehe. I have no idea what ppm I show signs to but it's probably in your same area for... -
This is interesting, I am glad this was posted and multiple mom's have experience with this. I got 1 week until I'm breast feeding my 1st and I am celiac, no where near certain if baby will be celiac though. Will just have to see by the way he reacts to milk if he ingests any gluten I've accidently gotten in my system. I think his skin would be a first sign...
