  1. No matter how strict my diet is, I seem to loose too much weight, it almost always is worse around this time of year...October-November. That happens to be when I was first diagnosed with cancer 10 years ago (I was 20 years old), now I am 30. I have gotten married which supposedly would put on a couple pounds right?? The old saying goes something like, once...
  2. That's exactly right! Meat, rice and vegies. The only extras were the ones that I knew and tested before and still feel confident about; Silk coconut milk (for my calcium/magnesium/etc), CeliAct vitamins and my MRM gluten enzymes. *I added my Rice cheese later, kept up with the Waluby Greek yogurt and drank water from the tap. Then the Rice Dream...
  3. It seem my anxiety attack has brought on adrenal fatigue and progesterone drops. I lost a bunch of weight, having menopausal symptoms and feeling the same adrenal fatigue as before. Hands are dumb, dropping stuff, tingling in hands and feet, muscle weakness. I've got two kids to take care of and this is just not convenient. I'm wondering...with my stress...
  4. You DO NOT have to eat gluten to be tested for Celiac! Don't eat gluten. A CELIAC PANEL is a DNA test which is accurate for doctor to determine if you are a celiac. Celiac disease is genetic therefore being on a gluten free or gluten diet doesn't not make a difference. There is a long period of fasting for this test for people like us who suffer from...
  5. Ditto only fast forward several years. I'm allergic to nearly everything, according to a naturopath, I plan on getting a poke test for allergies on my back. I'm sure that will entertain the nurses as I swell up and look like the hunchback of Notre dome. I'm right there with ya for the layering of allergies and symptoms. It's as if my whole cellular structure...
  6. If you have reactive celiac (not sure on the labeling there) but the general idea is the lining of the intestines will respond as if glutened (to some degree of being glutened) simply by being stressed. It's know as reactive. I definantly would agree about getting glutened from the kids. I got two and they put hands, toes, toys, etc. right up in my face and...
  7. That antibodies test, the doctors will know it's name by Celiac Panel. It's going to test your DNA co-signs. Very accurate test. Takes a lot of blood though, so bring water and something gluten free to chow down on afterward if you get faint from giving blood.
  8. The Gluten Free Certification Organization is finally heard by the FDA and this August 2014 the law for gluten free labeled food and beverages must meet below the 20ppm (parts per million) standard or they will be relabeled (to not have a gluten free or certification label) or removed from the shelves. It took 10 years for the GFCO (Gluten Free Certification...
  9. With two kids to tend to, glutened by who knows what, and allergic to other stuff, I am finding it hard to survive. At night I have horrible nightmares, have had since I was a kid, but the glutening makes them worse. Also having heart palpitations, tightening, lethargy. Very tired all over as well. The last few weeks the glutening has damaged my gut and...
  10. I seem to be allergic to more than just gluten, many more things. I need someone who is a specialist in severe autoimmune responses. Someone that can help me with a diet that will keep me from dying. lol That would the particular thing. I've had the "arm bending" test for other allergies and what I supposedly needed. I've had celiac panels (2) and tested...
  11. The ginger drink suggested above is a must Reeds ginger soda is a quickie for nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, motion sickness....yadda yadda. Probiotics like greek yogurt, which you might like, is great for gut relief. I get the Wallaby Organic low fat Greek Yogurt that's certified gluten-free. We have similar gut swelling issues, mines after being glutened...
  12. Yes, having been glutened, your gut will loose some of what it needs to break down the hard cheese. You can gain that back with probiotics and the healing of your gut. Takes me a while to be able to eat greek yogurt after being glutened. But there are good probiotics in greek yogurt. There's also pill form, drinks in health food stores, plain yogurt with...
  13. I'm looking for support groups in Clarkston Washington or Lewiston Idaho. Know of any? I've heard there are lots of celiacs and gluten intolerant people here but....where?
  14. Hylands hayfever tabs, I'm not sure they are gluten free. They don't say gluten free and there are a small amount of ingredients. Ambrosia artemisiafolia 3x, hpus; euphrasia officinalis 3x, hpus; allium cepa 3x, hpus; sabadilla 3x, hpus in a base of lactose, USP. I am lactose intolerant but am not having a reaction like that. It is defiantly a celiac...
  15. I thought I was doing a good things by getting on liquid vitamins. I thought I could trust the label that said "gluten free" from nature's plus. I thought I could email them now and ask questions but their email page mysteriously doesn't work. The international email looks like goes through to them but who knows who is going to answer that. My symptoms...
  16. Well, my sweet hubby and I had another baby, Surprise! its a girl. ? Yes, we didn't know until month 8. Doctors told me she was in serious danger because I am Rh-, that is O- blood. I chose not to do the rohgam. It is protein based and I have numerous allergies including to pain meds. When I had cancer I had seizures while the nurse was giving me retuxin...
  17. Sweet foreign delicious food....ah.....sigh.

  18. Good Lord woman! I feel your pain! I didn't have all the surgeries but endured years of craziness as well. I think I just swallowed it all. But yes I totally get ya. Of course, I gotta give you some advice because I've been gluten free (except fro cross contamination) since 2003 and I'm 30 as well. Liquid adult vitamins from a health food store (not...
  19. I sent them an email, hope it gets to them soon. Got test results back and my D8 has skyrocketed to D64, although I have had several including one bad gluten reaction between those tests. I am very very sensitive to gluten and other things. Now I am informed that the area where my husband and I live can no longer accommodate such a high risk baby. We will...
  20. I am Rh- and pregnant. Baby is doing fine; kicking, punching, rolling, growing. Have not had an ultrasound to check for swelling of the liver or heart yet. Will do soon. My main interest here with this situation is this: I had a titer test done to see my antibody response sensitivity results. My baby is more than likely O+. I am obviously O-. This...
  21. That' true that I don't owe the nutritionist. She is the one who ordered the celiac panel and I've had another one by another doctor. Both tested positive. I don't think she is saying celiac can be cured by a candida diet. She had planned to start with that, got to build up my immune system since it is really weak, and then get me to be less intolerant to...
  22. Okay, I admit it, I like computer games. I'm playing Portal 2 again, plus the community chambers which are fun because gamers like me get to make a test chamber and have people play through it. Test chambers are what Portal is all about. Mad robot controlling thousands of miles of a scientific facility underground with an uncountable amount of test chambers...
  23. I' so sorry you have to go through this, I wil totaly pray for you. My bio dad had a brain tumor too, had brain surgery, didn't look so good when he came out, kinda made me queezy to see the pictures of his bandaged head BUT he is better and eating healthy and doing iron man stuff! I am going to pray you make it through with flying colors!
  24. I so want a HUGE tattoo, but am chicken about the pain. I keep saying I'll wait until I'm old and my skin don't matter to me no more lol That's when I'll get my harley and leather gear and VRRRoooooooommmmm
  25. I was diagnosed with cancer 6 years ago. It's gone, I have had check ups within that first year, none since. Best to keep my mind positive about it. Was also diagnosed with celiac disease within the second year after cancer, began the gluten free diet struggles and lovely roller coaster rides of pain and what not. Body healing is crazy. Come to find...
