  1. Have courage little Eloise! Our Messiah's arms are bigger, He can hold you through the dark times, you are a courageous girl and your celiac family is routing for you all the way. May whatever God decides to come, may you be peaceful inside. Keep the little light burning for Him, He will take good care of you on your journey home. (home to Heaven or home...
  2. I'm a busy woman, two kids, two cats, celiac, lots of stuff not done, lots of stuff I want to do. Then I'm dashing to the bathroom (the kids follow me) so I got to get in before they do and shut the door. They pop open the baby gate sometimes now, the oldest one has no trouble. "I just want some privacy! Holy smokin' cow man!" You just have...
  3. I can be happy, if I remember what's written in the Bible. Not to complain when trials come my way but to see them as pure joy. Sounds crazy right? The Lord only allows hard times for two reasons; Satan wants to crush you with the trials of life, and God wants to see you rise above! I'm standing pretty TALL today Thank you God for your strength! I will...
  4. Thanks 1seperateladysaved, I like your encouragement! :D Thanks Mr. Wheat Free, I will look those sites up, I've got a pretty sweet nutrition book that's very detailed in the known Vitamins Minerals and Herbs.
  5. So... Oncologist doctors and Licensed Naturopathic doctors are still not respecting each other in this valley at least. Doesn't surprise me. I the client am in the the middle. It's like a tug-o-war game really. One person says this, another person says that. There is absolutely no reason under the sun why a oncologist doctor can not respect nutrition...
  6. Well well well.... Not surprised. Nor scared. I may have cancer again. I am going to go WHOLE HIPPY NUTS THIS TIME! BooYAA! I'm allergic to pain killers: no surgery for me. Thank GOD! I'm not interested at all in chemo or radiation again. Been there done that. They will want to bone marrow transplant, I will not tolerate pain killers nor that...
  7. The battle ground.... Lymph nodes going up my neck. Nodule 9mm on the back of my right thyroid lobe. (Hard to palpate) Unknown battle ground in chest cavity. Weapons.... selenium 100mcg x2 each day. (breakfast, dinner) Vitamin E 400 I.U. x2 each day. (To process the selenium better) licorice root tea x2 a day. (helps with menstrual, adrenal and...

  9. Country Life is certified gluten free. I AM THERE! YES!
  10. I totally can't have anything the hospital offers. It's part of being allergic to more than just gluten. Reed's soda is gluten free, they make many different flavors. They have a website, you can call, email, ask questions, find one that your body is okay with so the next time your in the hospital you have back up! Prepare for the stupid people in your...
  11. The find that will impress me is: Is our body (celiac's body) capable of producing and or maintaining gluten enzymes to break down gluten? We can retrain the immune system, build our tolerance back up (different ways to do this) but where are our enzymes going?? What does our body do with our gluten enzymes?
  12. Making additions to my supplements today. Celiac's are low in selenium. Selenium is a super antioxidant and can do many more good things for health. I'm taking 100 IU in the morning and 100 IU in the evening. The Vitamin E that helps selenium absorb is in the mail! :D I am concerned about leukemia because I take iron drops to get my period to come....
  13. The little dude is 3 weeks and 10 lbs. already Which is fast. He's smiling, making valiant efforts at holding up his head and frowning at everything that is perplexing. Very cute stuff. So far he's breast feed 90% of a full 24 hours and the other is formula (similac "advanced" formula). The similac supposedly is suggested as a gluten free on this site by...
  14. This is one healthy baby boy! After 11.5 hours of labor with a midwife and assistant watching closley, my husband and I had our baby boy in our arms! :D He is 20 inches long, 7.14 lbs, and had a 14 inch around head! He came out healthy as a horse, nothing of concern! WOW Thank God! His little finger nails were even longer than mine (past his fingertips...
  15. I've had this a few times, Chiropractor and I thought it might be related to my scoliosis. Vertebrae and or muscle cramp disrupting the neck or something. Later I learned, it does happen on my back every time, it's part of the melatonin in the base of the brain over producing. Not sure why or how, could be food allergies. Since I've gone gluten-free I...
  16. A lot has happened since I last blogged. There are obivous reasons for me being tired; I have two kids under the age of 3, I'm a celiac, I've got hypoglycemia...yadda yadda. There are not so obvious reasons; chest pain at night, ache down the arm, lymphnodes swollen up neck (Cat scan confirmed), noduel on thyroid (cat scan confirmed), scar tissue in left...
  17. Seems funny, obviously I wouldn't go trick or treating with my specific allergies, that'd be stupid. I'd buy my own specific treats and not bother anyone else. Celiac's could just have a specialty Hallow-Treat party at home, baking specific dishes that simple but tasty, using proper precautions of course. Then invite friends/family with specific issues. AND...
  18. Sounds like you have already solved your question. You've got a history of IBS which is something that flares up when it wants to (usually stress is it's trigger), you've got yourself scheduled for a colonoscopy, which will show doctors if you have polyps or colon cancer. That should clear up those questionable issues. You'll know if you have them after that...
  19. Obviously I'm not good at titling my blogs, lol, but the latest events of the Gluten Free struggle is what I'm posting here. I've forgotten about my thyroid. Conveniently I'm sure, when I was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma, I put off dealing with the nodules on my thyroid for years. It's been 9 years. I think I was hoping getting gluten free would...
  20. Need a level headed doctor in Phoenix, AZ. Last one I went to tried to tell me I didn't have celiac even though I've had two DNA panels. She was not wise.
  21. Open Original Shared Link Sunfood has Certified Gluten Free Carob Powder. Their packaging is 6 years old, so it says otherwise. I called, they confirmed it is a certified (tested) gluten free and packaged in a gluten free facility. It has not given me a problem at all. I have been searching for something that is an alternative to chocolate, being I am...
  22. I think I just found my own answer? Open Original Shared Link Is the only certified Gluten Free carob I have found so far. Am a super celiac. And caffeine is my nemesis. But I will try this company.
  23. Looks like their carob isn't certified gluten free according to their search bar. Searching under the listing of "Gluten Free" does not show a safe carob. I didn't know if you noticed that if you are gluten intolerant. Doesn't look safe.
  24. I am allergic to caffeine. I only have a few but they are clearly too irritating for me to consume caffeine and enjoy caffeine. The only ones that I don't experience are the flu like symptoms, the swollen eyes, my tongue doesn't swell and no cold sweats. The rest bugs me for the rest of the day, and the next morning I feel hung over! Big time hate caffeine...
  25. My kids and I eat Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free oat meal with some Silk coconut milk, hot water, and sliced up banana. Seems to stoke the fires for hours.
