  1. I'm an avoider as well, any possible trace is a trace too much for me. ?
  2. Hahaha I'll make a mental note of that!! ??? Glad to hear you had great success, I'm excited to learn something new and try it out, hope I respond as well as you!!
  3. Hang in there!!! I know it's a miserable situation but hopefully you'll get accurate results in the end! Snaps to you both, that's not easy to do!! ?
  4. Thanks, I'll check the other out as well! I think there must be a bit overlap between the two in some areas. Should be interesting!
  5. It's pretty good, It's quite different from Hornsby's if I remember correctly. (been a while since I had Hornsby) it's got a definite ginger kick to it which I love! Let me know what you think! Good choice!! I love a good cider, but I'm got a RedBridge going at the moment to wind down the day LOL
  6. Maybe I should get offline and go to bed, since I see you already said what you thought! Haha I read it, googled it, read the post again and still wrote that...must be bed time!
  7. I had to google this New Planet beer, I'd never heard of it before! Let me know what you think!
  8. I should add I'm in Maine, I know prices run different all over, especially country to country.
  9. Last time I purchased it was $11 for a 6 pack. Where as the Angry Orchard cider or Mich Light Cider are around $7-8 for 6. (I hated the Mich Light Cider, just tasted like watered down apple juice to me lol, my non gluten-free friends love it though) The redBridge here runs about $7.99, I think that's pretty standard I guess.
  10. It's a whopping 58 deg with 90% humidity here at the moment....our weather has been so screwy!? It's supposed to be beautiful here this weekend, high 80's! Yahoo!! LOL I know my hot is some of your colds lately!
  11. 1. Yes definitely. 2. I went in spurts, but there was always a constant because I was a college kid, pizza and beer. Those two combined are no where near low gluten haha but I had laid off many other gluten filled items unknowingly, just because I felt so horrible I think.
  12. I thought that it was! Now I need to go back and look again lol
  13. Has anyone read The Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson? I'm just starting it today, trying to learn some new ways of eating. Any thoughts on it?
  14. She did mention a gluten free bakery opening near us in Woodstock, New Brunswick...I hope she's right!!
  15. These are hilarious!! I needed that laugh, thanks for sharing ?
  16. Oo I didn't even think about mileage, my gastro is 4 hrs from me, good to know!
  17. Are any of you members of the Celiac Disease Foundation? And is it worth paying the membership fee? I assume it probably would be but thought I'd get some Opinions before spending the extra cash. Thanks!
  18. OH.MY.WORD. You are never going to believe this. I contacted my friend who owns the hippie spot, she said she'd definitely host a party so I can meet her gluten-free friends, but she closed her place on Monday!!! :( soooo bummed!! That was a "safe" eating spot for me...AND my favorite restaurant here in town is closing this fall, just found out today.....
  19. I know it's not till fall but I'm looking forward to Resident Evil: Retribution!!!! Love those movies!!! Not usually my style but they suck me in!!
  20. Haha too cute! My little brother did the same thing at a restaurant once, he used me to chat up the waitress about my gluten free food...and her number if I'm not mistaken, smooth I tell ya--but I'm sitting right there!? Haha
  21. I'm a RedBridge girl all the way LOL it's my favorite, but when I'm thinking cider, which is awesome on a hot day, I go for Original Sin. It's a bit pricey but well worth it in taste. Just try a few over time and you'll find a favorite too!
  22. Welcome! That's a good question that unfortunately there is no hard and fast answer to. At 3.5 weeks your body is still adjusting to gluten free, some people heal quicker than others, it depends on how long you have gone without diagnosis. Your body has to work to undo all of the damage incurred, and recovery can be a slow process, some say years. I,myself...
  23. Sorry to hear that, I hope you feel better soon!
  24. I agree with you there, Skittles!
