  1. You too? I was just coming on to say that we didn't either this month...period started overnight last night.
  2. You know, this really drives something home to me that I've been pondering for a while now. At my last job, it was ALWAYS on Sundays when I made really big mistakes, mostly due to absent-mindedness. Sunday mornings, management always brought in doughnuts for everyone. Hmm... Connection?
  3. Stomach acid is even more acidic.
  4. It most definately does! And it's exacerbated by the fact that so many of the symptoms overlap... I've been the same way, exhausted, backache, moody (just ask hubby! lol), but no more than my 'usual' nausia. And add my 'cramps' or whatever they'd be called, I know I still have to be a little pessimistic so as not to get my hopes up too high, but I'm very...
  5. Hoping that it is implantation bleeding! That is very common, and is one of the main reasons people think they are not pg when they actually are. I have about five days now before my period would be due. <<fingers crossed>>
  6. Is anyone familiar with McGuire's Irish Pub in Pensacola, FL? I cannot seem to find anything on line about them to know if I'm safe to eat anything there or not. It is one place the family is going over Thanksgiving (the other is Lambert's Cafe, home of the throwed rolls...lol...) and I really need to find out if they have anything gluten free or if I need...
  7. I find this very interesting. What kicked my butt into gear about going to see a doctor was three days of bloody D. But none of them thought it could be related to this. They did my colonoscopy/endoscopy because they were wanting to check for Crohn's (which my sister has) and I requested biopsies for Celiac. The doctor wouldn't do them. Grrr... Jen
  8. We've been not not trying since I came off of Depo in May. It wasn't until almost exactly one month after going gluten free that my period re-started from being on the Depo and even then my OBGYN really cautioned me that I may well not ovulate on my own for a year or more, but that (given my husband's and my ages) she didn't want us trying for more then six...
  9. I don't have a cat, but I did raise a couple of generations of winning show dogs on a raw diet. The lady I bought much of hard to find foods from had several cats whom she fed a fully raw natural diet. She died of pancreatic cancer a few years back, but I believe her husband kept the business going. If you google 'My Pet Carnivore' you will see many articles...
  10. I think that is hands down the most sensable statement I've seen on this thread!
  11. This is not something I've read about on any of the early pregnancy symptom lists, but starting yesterday evening, I was feeling this 'pinching' feeling very low on my left side. I've heard of cramping at implantation, but this really doesn't feel like cramping, but just a funny pinching inside. I ovulated a week ago yesterday, so this would be right in line...
  12. A 100% RAW natural diet is the way to go!
  13. Dogs are CARNIVORES!!! Of course anything besides meat and bones (think wild wolf...whole carcas) is not good for them!!! Grains of ANY KIND are killers for dogs, cats, and any other carnivore we keep in our households as pets!
  14. Wonderful!!!
  15. Can't help, but I'm looking forward to reading others' suggestions!
  16. Last week, we'd had some crockpot BBQ chicken and I had been planning to make dinner for tonight using the leftovers, which I had already told him. Well, last night he asked how many chicken breasts were left. I told him two and he did't say anything, but came in with a bowl full of the leftover veggies from a roast the night before. I didn't think too much...
  17. What did you put inside? Still the same ingredients? What is the recipe for the homemade alfredo sauce?
  18. Honestly, could go either way. She passed away at 44, so we'll all likely never know. But, then again, she was also EXTREMELY morbidly obese (would have put a lot of the Biggest Loser contestants to shame), so then, even assuming that they were all real, it still leaves one to wonder how much to attribute to that.
  19. Are you talking about whipping cream or whipped cream? There is a big difference. There is ONLY cream in the whipping cream, while whipped cream does contain a variety of additional ingredients including sweeteners and other additives.
  20. That is very close to my situation. I'm the only one with Celiac and my sister is the only one with Crohn's. But my mom has thyroid problems and fibromylaga (sp?). Her mother was dx with Lupis. My aunt (father's sister) had a great many problems (none of are still quite sure which were real and which were imagined) including GERD and other auto-immune issues...
  21. Thank you, Trish! I'm going to call her!
  22. Sounds great! IDK if we'd be able to make it or not, but I'd love to find a support group. I feel very alone out here in BFE stumbling in the dark!
  23. Sounds YUMMY! Thank you! And I look forward to the Christmas Cheesecake recipe also!
  24. Thanksgiving will not only be my first holiday gluten free, but also my first holiday with my new in-laws. My husband and I have been married only since June, but I didn't meet my in-laws until our wedding in September. That's the only time I've actually met them. We talk on the phone, but still haven't really spent time together. Thanks to my super supportive...
  25. My husband does that. But, like your dad, he's the one who's the first to speak up to the server about things needing to be gluten free and how to do it. He's also always very conscious of cc at home. He is most definately my biggest supporter anywhere, but he is the type of person to always be joking around. He does not do it in a way that is in any way...
