  1. Nini, You and I will prbly never agree on this. I think wandering hermit is being very smart by attempting to elimitate celiac disease as a problem, so that he can look for other reasons with that elimiated from the list. Your suggestion is leave celiac disease a mystery, and move on. I disagree with that method. When your talking about health you need...
  2. Because if its not whats wrong you risk alot more damage because you put your faith in gluten-free and not where it needs to be. IMO it would be a bad idea if your sick to just blindy assume its gluten with out some defintive test. What if its cancer? Alot of cancer symptons are simular.... Yes thats an extreme, but real risk here. No thanks, I agree...
  3. Well the reason why it does make sense is you can not say somthing else that was eliminated at the same time as gluten was not the thing at fualt. For exmaple Eggs. Eggs are used alot in baked goods... and a gluten-free diet is often low on baked goods. Or what if you only alergic to wheat and not gluten? Granted those to exmaples might be easy to find out...
  4. Diary is fine... okay so use milk instead of water and add butter that is easy enough to try! As for the butter... real butter only or is margin okay? If not I cna use canole oil which I always have on hand.
  5. Yea.. so most ppl with celiac disease will habe O+, but you realy cant go the other way...
  6. Hey Hermit! I am basicly doing the same thing as you... just my doc does not know it yet. I eat a bowl of Shredded Wheat and a few pieces of whole wheat bread everyday... for alot of the simular reasons. I do not have any problems with milk that I know of. But I do have pages of symptons that COULD be celiac disease... You have to do what you have...
  7. Gina, At least your more polite then me... I get frustrated and angry to easy when I see a group of ppl wronged.
  8. Inst Type O the most common blood type? If it is,then of course alot of ppl with celiac disease would have it....but I am nost sure on that fact.
  9. I thought I replied to this.. but I dont see my post... If a med causes a to you act bipolar, and you dont act bipolar of the med, then your not bipolar your simply having a bad reaction to a med and should tlak to your doc about alternatives.
  10. Why is it that ppl will blindly spout this hurtful false informatoin whenever they can? Why the holy cursade to tear down ppl that are already suffering??? The nerotransmitters that control the brain have been measured, and its is documented that ppl with various disroder have them out of balance compared to ppl with out them. This shows up in brain scans...
  11. Wife hates falxseed though... www.foodalergy.org has some other alternatives for eggs that we have tried with some success. Still exprimenting.
  12. I do not see a dog, i see what I assume isyou in your wedding gown. Hold down SHIFT and refresh the page to update you display.
  13. I perfer the term disease becuase it has a "serious" tone to it that fits. If called it "different" then otehr ppl would tend to think less of it, and treat it more like a choice then a very real, and very serious disease. Its all about preception.
  14. Hmm air? Then more yeast would help. I'll try that next loaf.
  15. As I mentioned in a different thread, I am working on creating a recipe thats gluten-free, and EF, and still as tastey and good as store bought bread "gluten" bread. I came somewhat close with my last loaf. I am using a recipe I found in Bette Hagman's cook book we have that uses her "gluten-free Flour" mix. Is it the ammount of liguid? Pulling the egg out...
  16. Thanks Ken! But I forgot to mention it has to be EGG and EGG substitute free as my son can not have either in it. I have been working on a recipe that just made a loaf of last night. Wife tells me its good but not sweat enough, so gonna add some honey to it next time I think.
  17. Just to back up Kati, Lays states that the entire staxx line, all flavors is gluten-free and made on gluten-free dedicated lines. We uses them as a toddler snack in my house, but my toddler likes the plain flavor best so we dont realy by the other flavors.
  18. What show is this? Is it a drama or somthing? Never heard of "Mystery Diagosis"... what network carries it?
  19. WOW!! SOUNDS GREAT!!! Im gonna go look, Im always looking for EggFree/gluten-free ideas!
  20. BUMP Still looking!
  21. As stated above, all staxx are gluten-free and on gluten-free lines, however ppl with dairy issues aways seem to have trouble with them. Do you have anyother interences , such as casin or latose?
  22. Thanks all! I'll read all those links while we wait for his system to recover (again).

  24. Okay this might be a bit off topic.. but I dunno where to look! How do you potty train a child, and how do you know when he is ready? Esply one with celiac disease?
