VydorScope replied to aberglund's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
You have gotten alot of good answers so far, but let me add this.. the amount of time it takes depends on 3 big factors... only 1 you can control... 1) How good are you at being gluten-free? Every bit of gluten sets you back! Every hidden morsel, cross contimaination, etc. 2) How much damage was done? In your case it sounds like it was extensive...... -

Hmmmmm seems like it MIGHT be a celiac disease thing to have a low body temp. I know its sposed to range, but in "Normal" ppl its 97-99 is the range, and 95 is considered hyopthermia. -

And be careful! Remeber for the most part these places are staffed by kids and have high turn over. Mistakes will be rampant with cross continmation. I highly suggest you do not get anything from their fryiers (ie French Fries, etc). Most cliam dedicated friers but these boards have tons of reports of getting glutened from their friers showing the problem...

VydorScope posted a topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Hi ya'll! There are probably 5,902,984,923 and a half recipes on this board! I just need one! So what I am looking for is your suggestion for an inexpensive but tasty general bread recipe for the bread machine. The fewer ingredients the better. I plan to use this for sandwhiches, and etc. So what do you suggest? -
I missed the post where that was sated, but the good news is if a diet change fixes the problem, then its very likly not to be a real mental disorder

Odviously talk to your doctor before you take any adivce... not that docs are perfect, but they have your tests, and hisitory, and other data we do not. BUT, if your celiac disease blood test is POSTIVE, then go gluten-free for life and forget futher testing. You have celiac disease. Its fiarly simple. I created a thread a whiel go expliaing... -

ARCHIVED Gluten And/or Add?
VydorScope replied to redheadheather's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
If he acts out right after cheating on his gluten-free diet, then its almsot definlty a gluten issue and nothing else. Keep an eye on it, and try to log the events leading up to it. Might point to an addtional food allergy/intelerance too. Food additives ahve been known to cause these issues too. -
ARCHIVED Gluten And/or Add?
VydorScope replied to redheadheather's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
(trys very hard not to get angry at the hypocrisy and ingroance of that post) Statements like this are akin to "PLEASE DONT PUT HIM ON A gluten-free DIET NO GOOD CAN COME FORM IT" Or "A little cookie wont hurt!" Or "How can wheat be bad for you?" Which many of has had been told. A more inteligent, and considerit...
