  1. Is there anything I can use to get a similar flavor, minus the soy?
  2. I have used a hard cider to sub for beer in recipes.
  3. What age is this person? Nestle's pouch products are all gluten-free, as are all of the can products that we make at our plant. Peptamen Jr. is gluten-free for sure, if this is a child you are talking about. Then there is all of the Nutren, Replete, Nutrihep, Probalance, etc, etc, etc. Nestle's products all have gluten free right on the label.
  4. Interesting, I never would have thought of that. I'll give it a try next time.
  5. Won't that make it taste like coconut?
  6. There must be a way, right? I want to make a creamy potato soup without dairy or soy. I was thinking that maybe I would use potato flakes (fake mashed taters) to thicken. Would that work? Say, if I mixed them with broth until just slightly thick? Has anyone tried this, or other tips?
  7. This is meant for people with overactive bladder, but it's a guide for bathrooms in different cities and vacation areas. I thought that some people here might find it useful. Open Original Shared Link
  8. I completely agree. It's not as though I'm wracked with despair over it, I'm just annoyed more than anything. It's just all part of the process. At least now I don't have that fear that I had when I learned I was a celiac. That was scary. This is just irritating.
  9. Hmmm, I find those two things very interesting. I would love to be able to eat goat cheese again!
  10. That does look disgusting, doesn't it? Why must everything be deep fried?
  11. Yeah. But I still have a right to be annoyed at my own situation. If you want to put it like that, no one should ever feel down about their own situation because there is ALWAYS someone worse off.
  12. I never used to like cooking, and it still feels like a chore at times, but I'm growing to like it.
  13. I would be interested in the "butter" recipe, because I haven't seen anything in the stores that is soy and dairy free. Thank you!
  14. First I lost gluten, then dairy, and now I'm 99.9% sure that I have to give up soy as well. (Ok, no one is holding a gun to my head about the dairy and soy, but I sure don't like eczema). I got glutened from an Amy's frozen meal, so I've crossed those products off my list (most of them seem to have soy, anyway). I know that I can eat a wide variety...
  15. How does it taste? I picture it tasting something like the way my dogs' feet smell. Is this something you can buy at the store, or do you have to order it? ETA HAHA I see my question was answered at the same time I asked it.
  16. Ok, ew. Yeah, that sounds just like what mine were always like too. I always got them under my arms the most also; but also on my eyebrow, nose, ear, stomach, ankles, back of knees, thighs, etc. *shudder* Man, that was an awful time in my life. I haven't thought of it in a long time, but jeeze.
  17. Just out of curiousity, when you guys get boils, how big are they? Mine were always between the size of a nickel and the size of a quarter, once I had one that was bigger than two quarters together (I thought I was going to DIE). Is that the normal size? I always had the impression that they were smaller, but my doc said they were boils.
  18. Have you guys had your noses swabbed? My doctor did this to me, but it was neg. Some people carry staph in their noses and that is why they continually get boils. You have to coat the inside of your nostrils for 30 days with some kind of antibiotic ointment. If you haven't had the swab done, you really should.
  19. I suffered horribly from boils. They stopped a few weeks after going gluten free and I haven't gotten a single one since (over a year). I tried EVERYTHING to treat them before I was diagnosed and nothing worked. Nothing. I don't know what the relationship is, but there has to be some kind of a link.
  20. I get that feeling when I have gluten. I feel exactly like I just took a punch right in that little triangle below the sternum.
  21. I almost grabbed that at the store tonight! I didn't even check the label, because the regular is gluten-free. I changed my mind because I thought "Hm, what if it is different?" Good thing I didn't just buy it without checking.
  22. You know, I was thinking of ordering something from there a while ago. They didn't have any ingredients listed, so I emailed them with some questions about what else was in the products and I found them to be quite rude. They were very snippy with me, and pushy about making an order. Then when I ultimately decided not to make the order because of other ingredients...
  23. Really? Hm....Which flavor did you get? I've eaten them before without a problem, but I haven't had them for a long time.
