For all that life has dealt you, you have turned out to be a very strong, intelligent person. I am looking forward to reading your next blog. Congratulations on your personal strength. Armetta

I wish the power of suggestion would help my energy level. A friend is taking the shots and noticed a big improvement. I took them for many months and noticed nothing. Am now on the liquid sub-lingual and still don't notice any improvement. I take one High Energy Ensure in the morning and sometimes two Frappachinos - just to be able to get the minimum...

Hi Kathleen, I take a sub-lingual B complex with B-12 every morning. It has not affected my evening sleep. With the Ambien, I noticed that I have to take it just before I climb under the covers. I also take a Excedrin PM with the Ambien, otherwise my mind does not shut down and I can lay there until the wee hours of morning. And it does not matter...

mouse replied to VydorScope's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
celiac3270, Could you please add me to the list of people who want the restaurent guide. I live in Arizona, but hope I have the energy to go again to Las Vegas, NV or California this year. Thank you so much and I hope School is going well for you. Armetta armettaz@msn.com -
I take Ambien for insomnia. Because it is habit forming, I vary the amount and the days I take it. On the days I don't take it, I use Sleep Tight Factors which are gluten-free. Someone on this thread said Ambien is not gluten free. I just checked a medical list I keep under favorites and it is listed as being gluten-free. I do not take any generic as...

I also said how good they were. Which should have alerted me to read the label, just to be safe. If you remember the name of the cookie you use for cheesecake crust, please let me know.

The bad heartburn started yesterday afternoon and we thought that I had accidently got some of my husbands bread crumbs when I made my sandwich. So, we have now designated a counter just for him (his idea). Then we decided to have two dish towels - one on his counter and one on mine. This afternoon the heart burn has gotten worse and I again have a temper...

We went to an Applebees about a year ago. The manager told me that everything was preseasoned except the salmon steaks. He went and real ALL the labeling. He told me to bring my own baked potato next time and they would cook it for me. He was super nice about everything. Maybe, they have more unseasoned items now, as I have not tried them since then...

Thank you for putting these on the way that you do. I bought a folder and I put them in there and index them. It makes it SUPER EASY for me to find what I am looking for. And also it is easy to carry this to the grocery store. Armetta

My husband arrived home Sunday and it was so great to have him home. The only thing is that he arrived home with his ankles swollen worse then ever. But, this time he agreed to see a doctor. I had my CT scan on Monday and so I set up a doctor appointment for both of us on Thursday - to get my results and have him checked out.My tests came back normal ...

At age 19 (1961) I had my right ovary removed. I had a daughter, naturally. I also had a period every month. Your remaining ovary does the work of two. Friends said it was great that I would only have a period every other month, but that is not the case. You only need one to get pregnant. Armetta

I posted an inquiry about vision problems and several people answered. They described what you are experiencing. Go to the word vision and scroll down. Hope it helps. Armetta

I seem to be unable to get to sleep tonight. My husband is coming home tomorrow and I am so excited to see him after his being gone 6 weeks. He is in New Mexico tonight and will be here sometime early afternoon. Today is his 65th birthday and he was going to ride through Durango, Colorado to celebrate but he hit rain on his way up the mountains. So, he...

YOU are too funny. This made me smile. Armetta

Hi Jen, If you come up with a cute Celiac T-shirt, please let me know. In Arizona I wear sleeveless in the summer (or cap sleeves) and long sleeve in the winter. And I just don't like the ones that are for sale at Celiac. com. I would wear one of those around the house, but not out and about. And then what good am I doing as far as getting "inquiring...

I hate labels that Doctors or anyone give people. They are sometimes self defeating. You have risen above them to prove everyone wrong. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR STRENGTH. Armetta

This morning I had my blood work done after fasting for eight hours. They will also check my white and red cells. Then I went to the place where I will have the CT scan of my abdomen and pulvis (sp) on Monday. Picked up the Barium junk I have to drink before the test and asked if it was gluten free. They checked and still were not sure. So, I am hoping...

I hope we get to see a picture of this patio with the stream. I bet it will be beautiful. Now you can come to Arixona and do my backyard and patio in our new townhome. I cheated a couple of times and regreted it, as the last time I suffered for almost a week. Never again. It just is not worth the pain. Yes, I know the damage is still being done...

After reading Lindylynns blog about eating in NYC, I wish we had retired there. Of course I hate the humidity, but the eating out sounds great. Coulter has talked about the same things in the dining section. NYC also has wonderful plays to go to. I love the size of the theaters - small. I am also like Mosaics' blog, after you tell about the illness what...

I love reading your Blogs and Mosiacs (love her art). I keep a gluten-free home EXCEPT for my granddaughters junk food and some things for my husband when I don't feel like cooking. My husband is into preventing cross contamination. If he makes me a sandwich and himself also one (different breads), he uses two knives and two different margarines. ...

I hope I am doing this right and that this gets in your comment section. I never thought about choosing each day to be gluten-free as a personal choice. I love how you put it. And yes, we do choose not to be sick. You have a nice way with words. My daughter will also not be tested (she is 41) and we are absolutely sure she has this disease, but no amount...

I was going to address my recovery time, after the diagnosis. But, yesterday was a bad time for me emotionally, because of the doctor appointment today. My recovery is still ongoing after being diagnosed early February of 2004. As soon as I went gluten-free, I noticed a mark improvment right away and thought it would keep going at that pace. It did not...
