  1. Thank you all, it's always nice to know there are people out there who care. Once I know more after the 26th I will let you all know <3
  2. Yup, found that "treasure chest" for my migraines. I have a large brain tumor actually. We don't know much right now. Won't know anything more until after the 26th....
  3. So I had an MRI the other week and they finally called me with the results. Looks like a I have a rather large brain tumor that is more than likely what has been causing my chronic migraines. Needless to say, I'm pretty flipping scared.... I go in to the docs tomorrow for more blood tests and I see my neurologist on the 26th to figure out the plan of how...
  4. If I only got the tummy problems I could manage okay, but I get the horrible neuropathy, tons of canker sores for weeks, and body aches, along with it just making me so tired I can't function. Thankfully I have no kids yet and trying to find a job at the moment. The Celiact has all the vitamin and enzymes you need along with probiotics as well. I have found...
  5. I had an MRI done yesterday and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I just closed my eyes and ended up falling asleep during it lol. When they put the contrast in my IV it just made my arm cold and my mouth taste kind of metallic like the saline does. Hope it went well for you as well
  6. I love the Shar breadcrumbs for my meatballs, they work great for meatloaf and chicken strips as well
  7. I play a lot of Yahtzee and watch a lot of bad tv. I was glutened last night, so that's what I've been doing all day. May get the strength to make some soy vanilla chai in a bit though
  8. Thanks doll! I've had migraines since I was 5 years old. Guess I am just one of the lucky ones Although I was diagnosed younger, I've had the disease for well over 10 years, been suffering from all the them symptoms sine I was at least 15, but yes, at least it will only take like 3-5 years to fully heal than 10+ like it could have been. I figure...
  9. I am now gluten free for 8 months as of this December and have NEVER felt better. I went to my doctors to get all of my labs we done to see if I am actually improving inside along with just feeling improved and all of my levels were NORMAL and great! Even my vitamin D, which was only at 17 right before I was diagnosed. I only have one problem now. I...
  10. My thoughts exactly.
  11. I need to get the shot since my immune system is so weak. Instead of getting the flu this year, I got Meningitis! *ugh* Gotta love being me!
  12. I have been sick for about a week. Started getting worse and ended up in the hospital today. I have been diagnosed with viral meningitis. This is my first time being "sick" after being diagnosed and all my old comfort foods when I would get sick before being diagnosed Celiac were full of gluten. SO! What are your favorite comfort foods when you're sick? ...
  13. I was going to go to school for culinary and baking until I was diagnosed. I was working in a bakery which triggered my Celiac in the first place. I have decided to teach myself what I need to know and go take some gluten free courses and start up my own gluten free bar :} More than likely it is what is messing with you, don't give up your career, just adjust...
  14. I had a very high alcohol tolerance before diagnosed, and now, instead of having 5 AMF's and being tipsy, I'm at 2 double vodka redbulls and I'm good. I also can't drink wine or cider because of the sulfates, gives me mega migraines. I also can't drink ANYTHING grain based even if it's distilled. I am so sensitive that it gives me epic 3 day migraines and...
  15. That is my first symptom as well, but I also have chronic migraines, so I have a migraine everyday. I have to be on a few prescribed abortive meds, along with figuring a preventative and pain meds when they just won't quit or else I end up in the hospital. Excedrin Migraine Extra Strength is good for most people though.
  16. Even though they are made from wheat, they are distilled, and they distillation process takes all the gluten out of the alcohol. This is of course only for hard alcohol, not beer. You may just not react well to alcohol in general. I am also 25 years old and have just figured out that I am sensitive to sulfates, so I can't drink wine or cider now. I also make...
  17. Kidney stone pain also radiates into your back. Appendix pain and gallstone/gallbladder pain are very similar as well, also ovarian cysts feel around the same kind of pain as well. My Celiac pain feels just like my kidney stones/ovarian cysts and my moms co-worker had the same pains during her first year or so while healing as well. Just keep an eye out,...
  18. Yep, my sciatica always gets worse when I get glutened. It's already pretty crappy on a regular basis, but it sure as hell gets about 10 times worse when I get contaminated. Glad to see you got into an acupuncturist and are feeling better :}
  19. Oh trust me, I never thought for a minute to eat gluten. I wasn't meaning that, lol. I was just wondering since all my OLD comfort food for a break up was ALL gluten, so I was trying to figure out some that AREN'T gluten. I'd totally go to a gym, but I have no job, so no money, and I live with the rents still, so I still cook & shop for the house. I have...
  20. No matter what you do, the gluten will be in your system for a couple of weeks. All you can do is help ease the symptoms. A lot of rest and a lot of fluids. I take the vitamin supplement Celiact, so even when I do get glutened somehow, my symptoms aren't NEARLY as bad as they were before hand. Feel better and be careful!
  21. Kidney stones are pretty common with Celiac. For the longest time my doctors just thought I was a stone maker because my uric acid levels were fine and I have had 6 kidney stones and they had found nothing else wrong with me. The in April of this year I was diagnosed and it all came together, since we don't absorb calcium like we should, so then it leaches...
  22. I LOVE the sun, but the catch is, I live in Seattle. So we only get MAYBE 2 months a year if we are lucky of sun.
  23. When I was diagnosed my D levels were at 17. Not sure where they are at now, but I'm on about 6,000 IU a day.
  24. My boyfriend of about a year just up and left me yesterday. This is my first breakup while being gluten free, so this may be an odd question, but when you've had to go through this and you don't have your old, gluten filled, comfort food, that things did/have you eaten that has comforted you during this crappy time? I know you're not supposed to eat for comfort...
  25. I am on Celiact which as everything I need. It will no longer be an issue though since my boyfriend decided yesterday to just up and leave me.... Thanks all.
