Chris:
I have the 2006 list from Delfi, but it is only 33 pages and the 2004 list is 78 pages.
It may be quicker for you to download the list directly from Delfi yourself and forward it on to your mother.
For all those that don't know what we are talking about....www.delfi.com, go to gluten free product list, register and down load the Gluten Free Product List.
If Patti is around, I am sure she will post the direct link. She is wonderful about that.
I don't know how to pass it on to you Chris....

Hi All,
Was wondering if any of you could tell me whether the las palmas green chile sauce is gluten-free. I looked on their website and don't see any info. It does have modified food starch in it.
Thanks in advance,
BR: If modified food starch is listed, by US law, it is required to list wheat as an ingredient. Sounds like you are good for go, unless you see wheat in the allergins statement.

I would concentrate on the gluten because that is the bad guy that does the damage. As you heal from the gluten damage, you may find that you become more sensitive to casein. To my understanding, gluten will cause damage, but casein causes symptoms and not intestinal damage. I am not 100% on that, though.
Others are more informed.

Sometimes, I seem to forget how disrupted my diet is for those around me. My husband is very supporting, especially because he doesn't have to pay for restaurants much any more.
Give him time. Men, I have found, don't like disruption in their routine.

Good to hear from you again. I think that most of us have celiac skeletons somewhere. My deceased father had stomach problems for as long as I can remember. He had terrible gas, which he always blamed on the dog.
I don't know of anyone else in my family, but I suspect a few. It's nice to have some validations.
Lisa.
BTW, congrats on your masters degree.

Try going dairy lite or eliminating it for a week and see how you feel. Therein will be your answer.

I was going to say the same thing Nikki said. Very often after you remove gluten from your diet, you find other sensitivities.
I have found recently, after almost 2 years gluten free that dairy can bring on the big bloat.
Also, the shampoo can be "as simple as that". Dove and Suave are gluten free (there are several others).
My bet is on the dairy. Hope you can work it out and you stop bombing your family and friends.

I am not familiar with the numbers. Some of the moms should be here soon. I can reiterate what you probably know, testing with a biopsy is not always reliable in young children.

Hi, I've had dpression for several years, accompied with other symptoms like sun sensitive rash, floaters and chronic fatigue. Depression treatments have given me little relief.
I've been looking into diet and stumbled on gluten intolarnce by accident. I initially tried cutting out simple sugars and processed carbohydrates (bread ect). While doing this, I ate no processed food and after further study, discovered the only thing I was taking in with gluten, was my multi-vitamin.
The results were a slight lift in depression and my sun sensitive rash has completely cleared up (rash present for years/ the entire time with depression).
For three days now I've been completely gluten free, checking everything, but have reintroduced sugars into my diet. My depression seems to have increased some, but the sun sensitive rash's still gone.
I've never had any of the basic stomach problems like bloating, gas and diarrhea, that seem common in celiac or gluten intolerance. I mean I've had them, but it's not a frequent problem.
Is it possible for gluten intolerance to only affect skin, energy and mental function?
Thanks
The answer to your question is YES. Celiac has over 200 symptons and energy and mental function or lack of, are the more prominent ones.

Why don't you try some safe cold cuts, such as Hillshire Farms. They have a wide variety and I believe all are gluten free.
All Boar Head meats and cheeses are also gluten free.

What a terribly inconsiderate thing for him to do. I certainly hope that he regrets his actions and gives you a very sincere apology!
-
What brand of cold cuts are you eating. Are they deli sliced? Deli slicked meats are a risk for cross contamination.

Texas Roadhouse, in Bangor used to have a gluten free menu, but they may be gluten free friendly.

Go out and treat yourself to Red Bridge Beer...it's gluten free, tastes good and you can be part of the crowd again.
Whenever I know that I wil be out, I always take my own salad dressing with me. Salads are almost always available. I have also order hambergers with out the bun, steamed seafood...
Austins Grill - 750 E. Street
Buca di Beppo - 1825 Connecticut Ave
The Capital Grille - 601 Penn Avenue
Hard Rock - 999 E Street
Legal Seafoods - 704 7th St/2020 K Street
All have GLUTEN FREE MENUS!!! You live in a big city with alot of people with dietary issues. I would bet that most restuarants are familuar with eating gluten free. Scout out a few between lunch and dinner times and talk with the cheif or manager.
Eating gluten free, is only as hard as you make it. It is very doable. Hang in there and get yourself some beer!!

I just went to the doc. today. I've been eating gluten free for a month with wonderfull results. After explaining my situation, he said it sounded a lot like Celiac. He drew blood to test for antibodies even though I've been gluten free for almost a month. He said that it could still show antibodies. Has this happened for anyone else?
Anyway he told me to start eating gluten again and we'll do a biopsy in a month unless the blood test is positive in which case I'm dx celiac. I started eating it again earlier today and I've already had D twice in the past 2 hours, my stomach hurts, my body hurts, and I have a headache. I thought it would at least take a few days of eating it again that I'd feel sick! I don't know if I'll last a month....
Yellowbird:
It never seems to mystify me why doctors recommends that we continue to destroy our intestines.
You may have not been TOTALY gluten free for the month before testing. It is very complicated and it involves your shampoos, creams, lipstick, gloss, soy sauce, Worcester sauce and the list goes on and on. Your blood work may be positive. The blood test will rule in celiac, but it does not necessarily rule it out. It can be a false negative, due to your gluten free status.
Many people here are self diagnosed because they consider a positive dietary response a confirmation of Celiac, is not a gluten intolerance.
If the gluten diet is too much for you to handle. Tell you doctor. He wants you go eat gluten, level your villi, create damage, so he can confirm it through a scope, which it itself is not always conclusive?
If this sounds harsh, it is not my intent. I was close to being hospitalized and was sent to a GI and was diognoses with Celiac...I had no ideas what it was.
Do some reading here. The citizens here are the best in the world and we all share a commonality.

I always have some brown rice or wild rice in the refer, that seems to work for me as natural fiber.

Thanks Momma Goose, Kbtoyssni, and confused.
I decided to go in to the theater office today in person and see if they would sell me the boxes. Well, it just so happened that the man who orders the popcorn was there and told me that he didn't believe there was butter in the ingredients. He opened up a box for me and pulled the product out for me to read the ingredient list. Sure enough, it only has soy in it. So now ds can eat it along with the others! I was thrilled.
Yeah! Another hurtle success.

? What is cream of tarter? I know it in the stores, I know to cook with it, but what is it...a form of corn starch?

Stepping in,
No scientific facts here, but Dr. Oz (who I think is cool) said that a steak can sit in your stomach for up to 7 days before it breaks down.
Quietly stepping out.
