  1. Alright, I have to confess. Onions do do nasty things to me. But after I went into the living room where hubby was watching tv, I asked him if I night eat. He said what in the world are you talking about.

After I went to the bathroom with nausia and bad cramping, I had the big D. I knew that onions were the culprit. But, very stange thing in the lou, ripply edged things floating. Now, I'm used to things floating, but this was not normal.

He had cut his finger, and covered it up with some sort of clear tape. Upon showering, he took it off and put it in the lou.

After being gluten this weekend, I though I had ingested plastics, or night eating. Holy Cow, I was freekin out. End of story..............but onions are really bad for me. Glad plastics are not on my diet.

  2. I have found that this disease is VERY self-consuming. I think about it every time I wipe a kitchen counter, every time I load the dishwasher, every time I make breakfast for my ADULT daughter, I join friends for lunch, or get invited out for dinner (often, because we pot-luck alot). I think about going to work, going to a meeting, going shopping an the list goes on and on.

It is on my mind constantly and I don't want to talk about it as much as I think about it. It would drive everyone around me crazy. As an example, my husband just came in and asked me "why are you not watching the Acad. Award? Why are you still on the compute.?" Well, duh, if I talked to him about things that are going through my head, he'd tell me to go back to the computer. Go figure a man????

So I am so glad that all of us are here for each other, otherwise where? There are some very wonderfully kind people here that have gone through alot. I appreciate every one of them.

OK. better go and watch the Hollywood Pretty Parade and sit with my husband as his eyes close and goes to sleep. Can't win for loosin..... What a life. <_<

  3. I know that there are other stories out there. I am with hopes and being gluten free that I will continue to heal body and brain. Thank you all for your impute and if there is anyone out there that has reaseach to indicate mind healing after gluten free , please let us know.

The mind is a very complicated organ. I didn't have much to begin with, but don't want to loose what I have

  4. Donna, Like the others, if you just ate what is labled "guten free" you'd stave to death.

Start with just be basics that you are certain are gluten free. ie. fresh vegies grilled chic or salmon, use salt and pepper and olive oil or corn oil.

Breakfast: eggs oscar meyer bacon, jimmy dean sausage. Egg rolles with corn tortilla. Cream of Rice.

Build your diet up from the basics, keep a food log, to know what makes you ill.

    Good luck.

  5. I do. I can go up to a week now and have no problems. Then for whatever reason, I get slightly acid D for a few days, and then it gets better. I think that it may be a little gluten, but also the healing process. The good days seem to get longer and longer. I am now nowhere close to the days where I could not leave the house and my bottom was on fire. It is slow progress, but progress. And to add, that you get better knowing where the gluten is comming from.

My reaction to gluten in the beginning was within a half hour, now I'm up to around 24 hours. I would say that't progress.

When I to get glutened, I revert back to a basic diet that I know is a sure one. Hope this will help
