  1. Open Original Shared Link Prevacid is indeed gluten free. Although you might be reacting, but your reaction in not gluten related in Prevacid.
  2. Each new post is viewed by a moderator to check for correct substance and placement. Then it's pinned. As each new post is made, or answered, it moves up to the top of the current page. To answer your previous post, everyone responds differently. Seven days does seem like a long time to react. But, I'm not sure what you mean by metabolic reactions...
  3. Many people here go back to the BRAT Diet...Banana, rice, apple sauce and tea. Once the autoimmune reaction kicks in, alot of the time you just need to ride it out. You can take Imodium for the diarrhea and something to settle your stomach. Here is a listing of some gluten free meds: Open Original Shared Link
  4. I believe that it was noted before, that only the individual poster can see his/hers warning levels, with the exception of the moderators. Other members here cannot see other warning levels except for their own. Sorry neesee, your feeling were hurt . Sometimes a little humor can be taken the wrong way.
  5. Thanks for another great update.
  6. Educate yourself regarding McD's french fries and then make your own decision to eat or not eat. That to me is the bottom line.
  7. Thanks so much for the update. I have always used Color Surge Lipstick, but it's getting harder to find. Great to have a couple options.
  8. I would save your money for a more traditional approach to what ever ails you.
  9. Open Original Shared Link Yeast extract is not gluten related. I can't vouch for the other ingredients in the chicken soup, though.
  10. No, Ken, what you got was a "courtesy call", not a warning. We save the warnings for very special people.
  11. Yup, keep the crock pot and clean it well. Spend that money on a toaster for yourself or the one in your family who is gluten sensitive. A dedicated toaster is a must.
  12. Although you found a great bargain, if you have Celiac or gluten intolerance, a second hand bread machine is not recommended. It would be impossible to clean and will contaminate any gluten free bread.
  13. I think it's great for you to start a support group in your area. The Celiac Disease Foundation has some wonderful start-up information. You can contact Deborah Ceizler at this link. Through this organization, you will recieve offers from new companies to sample their gluten free products for your group. Open Original Shared Link Good luck and...
  14. Ken, Don't know if you have this list. Perhaps it may be helpful. Open Original Shared Link I took Simvastatin for a few months and did not like it at all. I quit it and tried to make dietary changes. I've got one of the hereditary issues.
  15. I knew I'd find Alex here. I've come to wish her a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Wish you great wishes to come true, sweet girl! ...and how is everyone?
  16. Open Original Shared Link Here is a link with some information. I am not familiar with any store in particular, but eating gluten free in Maine should not be much of a problem. Find any lobster pound and pig out. I would shop while you are there, but bring some bread and pastas of your choice. Most grocery stores have a great deal of gluten...
  17. Hi Ken Ritter, I am south west of Hampton Roads. Open Original Shared Link Here is a link to the Celiac Disease Foundation Support Groups. The Chesapeake Tidewater Celiacs Chapter is large, active and nationally recognized. What they don't know, can't be known. Trish Cryer, pcyrs@cox.net, can help you out. Tell her that Lisa from...

  19. It took me a good six months to get a handle on the diet and to see a marked improvement. The digestive response is the first to show improvement, but the neurological ones can take up to a few years to totally improve, in my case due to malabsorption. It does take some time for your body to recover, just as it took some time to get to your diagnosis...
  20. I think that it's not the baking, nor the bread aisle, but the short time that you have been gluten free. Your body does go through and adjustment period. You have been on the diet a VERY short period of time. The learning curve is steep with regards to knowing what is safe and what is not. Don't forget to check your toiletries, lip balm, meds, vitamins...
  21. Hey Laura!!! I hope you have a wonderful day and all your wishes come true!!!!! And, thank you for your contribution here!
  22. Yes, this reminds me.....TEN years after my daughter graduated from High School, I tackled her storage closet in her room. Yup, there in her book sack were about a dozen french fries in perfect form, just as if they were ordered that day. Bet they would have tasted as fresh.....(oooh, shivers).

  24. They do not use the same oil for the McNuggets. McD's has dedicated friers for the french fries.
