  1. Thanks Scott. The "last unread" buttons are back. Lisa is happy!
  2. Thanks Mango. They most certainly are behaving strangely. Guess Scott needs new ink.
  3. Is it me ...or have the "go to last unread" buttons disappeared?
  4. Welcome! Yes, it takes an average of 11 years to diagnose Celiac Disease. Celiac can be non-symptomatic although it will continue to cause damage and it is often discovered through thyroid, adrenal and other abnormalities. Celiac is a disease that effects the small intestines. The autoimmune response to gluten can attack other vital organs as well...
  5. Easy solution! Look on your right of your original post and click on "options", scroll down and click onto "Standard". That should get you right back to comfortable ground. Every once in a while that will happen to me.
  6. Ash, I am SO sorry that you had a terrible experience with your chaperon. I firmly believe that every action should be accountable. Please have your mother continue to make her voice heard on your behalf. If not the Major, then his commanding officer. As long as the truth is on your side, you have the power to kick some @ss.
  7. Open Original Shared Link mouth- This listing indicates that it is a October 2007 update. Hope this is helpful.
  8. Restaurant dressings should be chosen with caution, as in many store bought dressing. Many dressing contain gluten ingrediences. Balsamic vinegar in itself, as stated is gluten free.
  9. Judy, I did watch it. I thought she was rather bizarre and TOTALLY void of any emotion. Perhaps that HUGE box of drugs at a HUGE cost she takes daily has neurological effects on her. (I have never been in that position but) If she wants a baby THAT bad, adopt. I do not want to be insensitive to those with fertility problems. I found her very strange...
  10. OMG, the Altoid Car. How could I forget. It resembled the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile with a BIG smiley face in the front, did it not?
  11. I welcomed you on your first post....so to answer you question....I would consider that a luxury to have more than one store available to me.

Welcome, This site is the best support group you will ever be able to find, with so many people who are very willing to offer their time, experience and research with others. I do not have a support group near me, but I would assume that it would have been helpful in the beginning with information as to where to shop and local product information.
  13. Karen, ya know Ursa's one of the experts here. I am sure she can be helpful.
  14. I just wanted to slide in here and say that I LOVE your user name!
  15. Karen - Don't know whether you read the thread from lonewolf (Liz) recently, who had a passing conversation with another parent. After trying the gluten free diet, at Liz's suggestion, the son now appears to be in remission from a kidney disorder. It just takes one person to touch a shoulder of another to change a life. So keep it up!
  16. Judy, I saw that as well today. If I heard correctly, she will be on Oprah tomorrow. (verification needed). Ought to be interesting!
  17. Sarah, There used to be several Raleigh/Cary people who posted regularly. Haven't seen them much. According to my Triumph Dining Guide: Bonefish - Cary Biaggi's - Cary Carrabba's Italian Grille - Cary/Raliegh Jack Astor's - Cary Outback - everywhere P.F. Chang's - Raleigh Ruth Chris - Raleigh Sullivan's - Raleigh Ted's Montana Grille - Raleigh...
  18. I would not eat Quaker Rice Cakes, but there are alternatives such as Lumberg Rice Cakes.
  19. Scotty, You may choose not to participate is you wish. No Board Rules have been broken and until that occurs it may continue. Respect to all posters opinions should continue, as it has.
  20. Wow, I'm getting so many wonderful suggestions. I raised my two daughters and they are out of the house (although one considers my kitchen a grocery store), but at least she comes home. It's just the two of us, the more I read, the less I want to raise a Jack Russell. A friend has two, and I should be just as content to enjoy his, then go home...
  21. Happy Birthday Jess. I hope that you have a wonderful day and all your wishes come true.
  22. Patti - I read that in our newspaper this morning and thought it very interesting. Thre are reasons for everything.
  23. Lipstick has been the biggest challenge for me. I know that ALL of Burts Bee's Lipsticks and Lip Shimmers are gluten free. Clinique COLOR SURGE LIPSTICK (all) line is gluten free. Not all Clinique is gluten free.
  24. Liz, that is so neat. Just think that the quality of life you, by chance, have offered that young man and his family. Nothing is better than hope. Yah-ho for you!
